Final Round Tomorrow!
We're nearly to the end now. Come in tomorrow, Monday the 24th, to make your final moves. The round will last from 4PM EST - 9PM EST. There will be bi-hourly responses.
Choices will remain open tonight. I will respond to everyone starting at noon tomorrow!

A Passage
iloveyouDIE ~ The bookshelf creaks and groans, sliding aside just enough for you to worm your way around, into the darkened passage beyond. It's pitch black, but thankfully, you can see in the dark. This portion of the manor is like none other, halls lined in stone. You get the vague sense of being in some sort of dungeon, minus the innocuous, foreboding dripping of water.
You've come this far, though, so you continue on, feeling a chill from some unseen room.
You come to a fork. One passage goes to the left, and the other straight ahead. Before you can decide which way to go, however, your vision is suddenly filled with miles and miles of pinstriped material.
"I cannot let you proceed further," The Butler says, frowning as if you've done something regrettable indeed. Where did he come from?! There's an unholy screech as he swings the firepoker up from the stone floor, sparks highlighting the dark as the metal strikes it. He swings the poker at you, wielding the rod like it were an extension his own arm.

Sayuri_Nitta +^ You manage to wrench the surly beast from your head and toss it aside. The cat hisses, but skitters off through remains of the door, back the way you came. Your partner looks properly sheepish through all the nasty cuts. "Sorry," He grins. Manda +$ You carefully push open the door through which you could see another light. Since the door was already somewhat open, there is no noise as to your entrance. This affords you an interesting, candid sight: a slender, long-limbed creature rolls luxuriously over the sheets of a king-sized bed, issuing soft, gleeful noises. It’s humanoid, tall, and wearing what you assume to be some sort of suit. You’re so weirded out that you just kind of stare for a moment.
_They haven’t spotted you yet, either. So what do you do?
> “Uhhh, what are you doing?”
> Quietly back out the way you came> Check yourself out in the mirror
Vashtya (xx) + You step over to that mirror, glancing over the craftsmanship. In this darkness, it seems carved out of jet and silver. Judging by how rich the rest of this place is, it probably is.
You look at your reflection- you're flecked with mud and blood, and something unidentifiable. You frown and begin to brush some of the scruff out of your face when, suddenly, there's another face peering out at you.
She's pale, pale, pale, with dark horns and black hair, eyes rimmed in eyeliner. The way it seeps down her face, you could almost suppose that she's been crying. But to you, she smiles and giggles.
"You're a right mess, aren't you?"
You look behind you- there's no one there.
"Eyes here, idiot. Hee hee. Who are you?"

> Tell her your name and why you're here
> Leave the room

I practically jump out of my skin as Ratwel appears before me. I was a fool to think it was sanity I thought I saw in him when we met. He's an absolute nutbag.
In a desperate move I duck as he swings and try to get past him. I feel like I have gotten so far, so close to the truth, but his appearance may be the last thing I see!

Sayuri_Nitta +^ The door, thankfully, is open. You breeze through, and are heralded with... music.
Soft music, playing to your left. You're in an entryway, standing on a beautiful throw-rug that leads left, over tile, into a semi-darkened room. You can hear music there; it sounds like a small string quartet, with the occasional tingle of an organ.
"Hey, look," Your partner says, guiding your vision not to the other room, but above. There are chandeliers hanging down, pretty little glass and iron fixtures like the one you saw in the foyer. But there's something else. It's a grate, and it's hanging open. It's just big enough to fit you, you think, but it'll be a hard reach. Since you've got your partner, though, you could get a boost.
"Upsy daisy?"
> Go left, to the room you hear music
> Ask Sir Rotgud his opinion
> Get your partner to give you a boost into the small passage> Duck and run straight ahead
iloveyouDIE ~ You dodge Ratwel, who hisses in the first mark of fury you've seen. You can hear the click-click of his shiny shoes following you down the hall as you barrel forward.... and nearly go, head over heels, into a pit.
It engulfs most of the room, and you can hear a growling rumble somewhere deep, deep within. Uh-oh. Have you met a dead end?
Ratwel fills the doorway with his height and his long arms, and when he sees you, his pale eyes flash and widen, a smile beginning to crease his features.
What's it going to be? The pit... or the butler?

The Ballroom
Sayuri_Nitta +^ The room is massive, black and grey tiles. It's a ballroom, and it's empty. You could see great parties being hosted here, and banquets being laid along the long, white-sheeted tables that lay along the sides. You see the source of the music: in one corner, string instruments of every shape and size lay leaned against the wall, strings plucking themselves on some invisible force or humming a bow across themselves. The organ, however, is not alone. There is a man there, tall and tailored into a suit. His coat-tails hang over the bench and his slender fingers play slow and deliberate across the organ. He stops, however, turning his white-haired head to look at the strings.
"No, no, Horatio, it's a 3/8th tempo," He tells the strings, who pause under his direction, "Don't get greedy, Claudia. You have a solo, so you don't have to throw your bravado over the rest. Softer, darling."
"WHO IS THAT?" Thunders Sir Rotgud and, suddenly, the man is looking at you and your partner.
"Oh, hello," He greets you, smiling thinly. "I was wondering when you'd arrive. What a mess you've made."

I stop suddenly as the tall, and vaguely creepy looking man halts his playing and looks over. 'You knew we were here? Who are you?' my hand hovers near the pocket where Sir Rotgud resides.
