The old man let out a garbled sigh, and Notwen thought he caught a whiff of something more rank than the overlying garlic. Slowly the old man began clearing the clutter off of the table, but once he removed the cloth it was revealed that it was a large rectangular chest. "Word from my brethren around the world has reached me." he said as he pulled an old rusted black key from his cloak and fumbled at the three key holes on his side of the chest. "Four of the legendary swords have already been found and you are the fifth to acquire one, meaning that there are only two more left in the hands of the old guardians. We have utterly failed at keeping the blades hidden from the world." With a final flick of his wrist, the old man unlocked the final latch. Removing the key, he lifted the top until gravity made it fall backwards on its hinges. A wave of garlic-y air assailed Notwen for a few seconds, causing him to shield his eyes from further irritation. He opened his eyes to see that the old man was standing still and looking into the chest with sorrowful eyes. "Behold, the Hiramekarei." said the old man, without taking his gaze off of whatever was in the chest. The dark-skinned blonde approached the chest cautiously and also looked inside. There were two hilts sticking out from beneath what appeared to be a very large, flame-shaped blade wrapped in bandages. Not only was the sword big, but when Notwen tried to lift it he found it to be quite heavy. There must be an easier way to carry this... he thought. After checking the bandages, the crippled Uchiha found that there was a loose bandage that could be slung over his chest and shoulder to carry the blade over his back. Careful not to overexert himself, Notwen lifted the blade out of its chest and slung the bandage over his shoulder. After adjusting it for comfort, the crippled Uchiha made for the door. " I'll be taking my leave now. May you open the door for me?" The old man walked over to the door and unlocked the mechanism. A torrent of fresh air washed over Notwen, who was all too eager to leave the stinking shack. Once he was outside he turned to face the old man. " Thank you for being so honorable under all of these circumstances." and with that said he set off for Rose's house once more. Upon his return, Notwen was greeted with the smell of cooking fish and the sound oil bubbling in pots. The dark-skinned blonde stepped through the threshold and declared his arrival. " Welcome back!" said Rose, who had walked into view with a small stack of plates and cups. " How did the search go?" she asked as she set down the plates and cups on the small table in the kitchen. Notwen smiled. " It went great, and i ended up finding a pretty large fish." he said, closing the front door a little so no one from outside could see what was going on. He removed the bandage that served as a shoulder strap and set down the Hiramekarei as slowly as possible. The sword's blade created a dull metallic thunk as it hit the ground, causing Rose's eyebrow to perk up. " That's one heavy fish you got there, huh?" Notwen laughed. " It really is!" Musamaru peeked around the kitchen doorway. There were flour specs dotting his face. " What's all this talk about fish abou-...." he began, but his eyes rested on the Twinswords that rested against the dark-skinned blonde's side. " That thing is huge! Where did you find it?" Notwen walked to the wall and slid the Hiramekarei behind the couch until it was completely hidden from view. " That's a discussion for later. Right now i have to get this smell of garlic off of me." he said as he smelled his arm and grimaced. " The bathroom is across the hall from our room." said the young guide before he went back to tend to the cooking. Notwen thanked Musamaru and retired to their room to find his clothes. After a quick shower and changing of his outfit, he joined the others in the kitchen for a lunch of fish and chips. They talked about memories from home, the cruise, and what their next moves were going to be. Once lunch was over and the dishes were done, Rose and Notwen left for the customs building again. The two of them paused outside of the building, Notwen looking at it as Rose looked at him. A gust of wind blew in from the west, tousling their hair. " Today is the day i restart my life. I wouldn't have been able to make it this far without you, Rose. For that you have my undying thanks." The black-haired woman smiled. There were reasons to her kindness that she couldn't reveal due to a promise she had made to Ichijiku, but she put her hand on the young Uchiha's shoulder. " Don't worry about it. It was all my pleasure. You just make sure you do things right this time and take better care of yourself." Notwen held her hand in his and nodded. " I'll try my hardest." He said, looking her in the eye. Releasing her hand, the crippled Uchiha began walking to the revolving doors. " You can return home, Rose. I know my way back. I will see you and Musamaru later." With that said, he entered the customs building. During the next few hours he sat in a room across from a cloud Jounin who drilled him with questions based on information that the form had required to be answered. At the end of it all, Notwen was deemed an official citizen of Lightning Country.

Meistu giggled a little as she watched Zagula's facial expression change when Meistu mentioned buying her whatever she wanted for food She knew Zagula loved to eat especially good food and Meistu didn't mind coughing up the rio to show her best friend a good time. She knew Zagula would be having a rough time adjusting to her new blind state so anything Meistu could do to cheer her up she wanted to do. Meistu also noticed the cold chill it was rather nice considering where she had been until she came back here, the hidden sand village was always so hot and dry the nice cool breeze was refreshing. Meistu let her thoughts drift off thinking back to being in the sand, first off the sand always got everywhere and Meistu meant EVERYWHERE it didn't matter what you wore she didn't know how people could stand being out in the heat and the sand.
But her thoughts snapped back to her when Rizu spoke up about reacting. "I can understand that I have no idea how either of you can get around being blind I use my eyes way to much." Meistu said as she looked back towards the village it was a lie, she actually didn't need to rely on her eyes but she did know the exams where coming and if she had to face Rizu, she wanted any kind of advantage she could get. Meistu followed Rizu in the direction he was leading them, he was right scaling would be coming up and Meistu would have to work hard to help Zagula climb down to the bear nest, then again if Zagula didn't want to scale Meistu could always make a clone to keep her safe while Rizu and Herself took on the bears Or Meistu could even send a clone with Rizu if she wanted.

With the night winding down, the large grey wolf continued on with the training that he’d planned to give Hayato. With the clones standing in front of him and Hayato watching from the sidelines, the wolf lowered his head and then with a large breath raised his head and started to howl. This howl was quiet loud but it wasn’t anything that could do any damage. What the devastating part of this attack was was the fact that there was a small ripple from the earth that traveled to the clones. Once the ripple got to the wolf’s clones, there was a sudden sinkhole formed underneath them in which only one clone escaped from by jumping to the closest ledge possible. Hayato could only watch as these skills impressed him and also made his body slightly sting due to the work out that he was forcibly getting in a few moments when it should have been over a much longer period of time. The wolf closed its eyes as it gave a quick assessment into the timing he had left. There was still time for one more skill and some information. With that, the wolf focused chakra to its paws and stomped down on them slightly making next to no noise. This small action formed into a much larger action in which actually sent up spikes of earth tearing through the last clone making it vanish. This last skill shown seemed to sting much more then all of the other skills. Then after all of that was done, Hayato felt his body relax to the point in which he could stand up like he normally did. This was odd as he thought that the wolf had actually wanted him to get used to that posture. He looked over to the wolf about to ask him about it. The wolf however was already sitting down in front of Hayato. “There is only so much that I can show you before your mind starts to fail under these circumstances. So with that, I’m placing all of the other skills I was hoping to teach you into the back of your mind. Eventually you will gain this knowledge.” Hayato looked at the wolf, and then slowly sat down in front of it cross legged. “Why… why did you choose me though? I still don’t fully understand what is happening here.” Hayato stated as he was still wanting answers on what was going on right as of this moment. The wolf closed his eyes and lowered its head. Not sure on how to say what was going through its mind, the wolf looked back up to Hayato and sighed. “What I can tell you Hayato, is that part of the reason is genetic. Far ago in your mother’s family history, a young boy was able to befriend four spirits in the wild; a wolf, a bear, a hawk, and a snake. These spirits where the guardians of the wilderness. There are more out there, but these four were the elders so a pact was made. These spirits would use the boy as a vessel in order to keep a physical guardian for all wilderness, but the boy had control over the spirits. Ever since then, the related offspring of that boy have some part of his mind. A host though must have at least a quarter of the mind-set he had. You have over three quarters, close to the exact mind set he had. You were meant to be a guardian…” Hayato sat in silence, learning a little about his inheritance but more about his parents as well. Even though they weren’t true guardians, they acted like it so Hayato would know what it was like if he became a guardian. It just so happened that he was a true guardian. Before Hayato could continue reflecting everything in his mind, the wolf stood up and nodded. With that, everything went black. Hayato opened his eyes to notice that everyone was just getting up from their sleep. He figured that it was best to leave what had happened to himself and just continue on with the trip. The day seemed to go on quiet fast as they eventually made it to the hidden cloud. Hayato grinned as they entered the village, but they still needed to rush to where the exams were going to be, and that is what he did along with Aya and their guide Kai.

Zagula smiled warmly even though currently Meitsu was the only one who could see it. "Its alright Rizu-kun. If Mei-chan wasnt with me right now id probably be freaking out right now. Due to their current state not even my two teachers could keep me as comfortable as she does right now." She spoke softly attempting to turn her slightly red face towards Rizu by the direction of his voice. Though her words were all true she had intentionally left out certain details. Granted unlike her friend Meitsu Zagula had no intentions of joining the Chunin Exams. Unless somehow her friend managed to rope the purple haired kunoichi into it somehow. She didnt put it past her at all. Her close friend always had ways to rope the girl into something with promises of something Zagula desired. Though as of now she didnt have any intentions of trying to climbing higher in ranks. With her lack of jutsu not to mention being more blind than their new teammate she likely didnt stand a chance against anyone else who would be participating. And she highly doubted theyd let her pair with Meitsu for the exams.
Thinking again about her being blind nor having heightened senses she recalled the fact theyd have scale down the mountain. Maybe she should stay up top and let them deal with it. Granted it would mean she wouldnt be helpful at all but at least she wouldnt be in the way or slow them down any. She wanted to voice her opinion on this but the words couldnt seem to escape her throat. No. She couldnt just stand there and not even try to help them. She was a part of this team as well. She would feel even worse if she didnt at least try to go with them to help in some kind of way. Instead she told them."I'll do my best not to fall off the side." She said with an uneasy smile. She was to stubborn not at least try and get down. That and if anything did happen she was sure Meitsu would help her.

Quote: Fast Travel/Time Skip Destination Takera walked out of the main building after having an audience with one of the Advisors of the Raikage. A jounin walked out beside Takera and turned to face him. " I see they accepted your request. You're lucky you had what you did, or you may not have gotten accepted. I don't understand why it is you've come to Lightning wanting to join our country, but rest assured you'll be under surveillance for a while. We can't exactly just trust you because you provide some valuable information to us. Now follow me. I will lead you to the place you can call 'Home' here in Lightning." the jounin said as he turned and began walking, keeping his eye on Takera. " My intentions are not ill, but you can see it for yourself in the coming days or weeks even, sir." Takera moved to follow the Jounin. They had a light conversation and the Jounin briefed Takera on the rules of the village alongside handing him his new headband, but the Jounin stayed weary of Takera. Trust isn't so easily given, especially in such a situation. Their last destination was the apartment in a three section building. His room number was 29 and located on the 3rd floor. The Jounin looked over Takera one last time and then proceeded to walk away. Takera let out a stressed sigh knowing the pressure was on. He'd have to gradually earn their trust, but for now he wanted a shower and clean clothes. He took his clothes off and took a shower, then came out in boxers and a white tee. From there he placed a set of slippers on and moved down to the appliances on the bottom floor and had his clothes and such cleaned. It felt relaxing to be in a home of sorts once again. After he got dressed he headed out into town, leaving his mask, and bag at home and just taking his base stuff as well as a headband he wore on his forehead from Lightning. Takera felt odd as he walked down the street. He was new and people were weary of him. He got the feeling there wasn't gonna be any love from this village for a long time. He settled into a seat at a local restraunt and ordered a small specialty meal of Lightning. After he enjoyed the meal he overhead two people standing infront of the restraunt talking about the exam and how people from other countries were showing up. This interested Takera, so he sat and drank a glass of water he hadn't touched till now. One of them spoke of a ninja from the Hidden Leaf. Takera's interest began to grow. It was possible it might've been Drake, but there are plenty of other shinobi in Fire and this is the exams, but before his thoughts could continue, the man spoke again. " The leaf ninja seemed in a hurry to get settled in. He had short black hair and a black duster coat." the man said. Takera nearly spit his water out. Over all the time that had gone by, he had nearly forgot about Drake and was surprised to hear he was there in Lightning. He had doubts but immediately he rose and left the money on the counter. He walked up to the guy outside of the restraunt. " May I ask where this Leaf Ninja went exactly? Did you see?" Takera asked with strong curiousity in his voice. The man looked at Takera once over and his face became a bit confused. " It was the hotel just down this street, turn left and head down 4 blocks. The hotel should be around there. Why do you need to know? And I haven't seen you before. Who are you?" The man questioned. Takera thought for a second and then answered: " I'm new. I became a recent resident/ninja. As for why, I may know who he is. Thanks for the information." Takera walked down the street and followed the man's instructions. The man just gave Takera a weird look as he walked away. Takera arrived at the hotel/inn and looked up at the tall-ish building. " So he's here, huh?" Takera questioned rhetorically. Takera walked inside and up to the front counter. Someone was checking out infront of him, so he waited patiently. Once he got up to the counter he placed his hands on the counter and spoke. "Have you seen a friend of mine? He was suppose to arrive recently for the exam. He's a ninja from the Hidden Leaf." He said as the innkeeper turned to face him. The innkeeper gave it some thought and then looked over at Takera. " I do believe that a man from Leaf checked in here last night. Give me a moment, I'll see what his room number is." The inkeeper said as he turned to check the list of guests. A few moments later he turned back to Takera. " Yes, he checked into room 14. It's up the stairs on the second floor and the first room on your left." The inkeeper exclaimed. " Thanks" Takera replied before turning and heading towards and then up the set of stairs to the 2nd story. Takera reached the top of the steps and walked over to the door that was titled '14' and knocked on the door 4 times just loud enough to wake a light sleeper up incase he had been asleep. The voyage from Earth to Lightning was nothing less than enjoyable for the two genin and the fox. With a free ticket to Lightning from Earth to the Chuunin exams, life seemed a lot less stressful. Time passed quickly with the aid of the all-you-can-eat buffet just a few doors down from where the Inuzukas were given to sleep and their morning routine exercises. The two were ready for whatever the Chuunin exams had to throw at them, possibly, with a new whole arsenal of jutsu and techniques that they couldn't wait to show off.
They finally reached Lightning Country several mornings later. The way the cruise was set up, the passengers would be arrive when the sun would rise over the mountains. It would have been a pretty sight if Hibiki and Kuro weren't impatiently waiting to dock to get over to the exams as soon as possible. They finished their morning routines early and sat in their cabin. They were going to go have some more of the buffet, but they wanted to save some room for the food offered in The Village Hidden in the Clouds.
When the cruise liner finally stopped and all the passengers finally filed out, the Inuzuka and his fox ally rushed forward, away from the crowd. Most people were saying hello to family and friends or meeting up with old acquaintances, but these two Genin were looking for their fishy friend. They tried peering over the heads of the crowd, (despite their height), and finally spotted Kyu slowly making his way through the crowd, "C'mon you slab of kalamari! We're almost there!" He called over the crowd, flailing his arms around like a small child as he did so.

The month had passed quite slowly for Notwen, who had spent every day after the discovery of Hiramekarei training under his advisor, General Rai Oh of the eastern militia. The general didn't like him much upon seeing him for the first time, but after the first week he had taken a liking to the crippled Uchiha. There were a few things they had in common: the General was also crippled, having lost his right leg in a battle some years back, his hair was naturally blonde and they both shared the same skin tone. While under his watch Notwen went through a special training regime designed by Rai Oh himself that would raise the dark-skinned blonde's stamina and toughness without triggering any episodes due to the boy's internal injuries. The general watched as the Uchiha completed a set of pilates. Nodding his head in approval the General cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, " Hey, Notwen! You've done more than enough training for today. The last thing you want is for you to put too much strain on your body! Besides, the Chuunin exams are a day away and i don't want you ruining your chances of passing!" The dark-skinned blonde ceased his exercise routine and walked up to the general, who had a muscular build and was at least a foot taller than himself. " Yes, General, sir!" Rai Oh chuckled and tossed a blue towel at his student for him to dry the sweat from his face. " You're way too serious, boy. Lighten up a little." he said as he began walking away with a distinguished shuffle toward the barracks. " Go ahead and shower. I need to go to a quick security meeting for the exams. Wait for me outside." " Yes, sir!" replied the Uchiha before he headed in the opposite direction to the locker rooms. The training routines he had been through had toned his upper body muscles, arm muscles, and leg muscles. There was no baby fat left on him, making Notwen look slightly older. He found his locker and unlocked the combination lock with three twists. It had become so routine that the dark-skinned blonde found himself walking into the shower area in half a minute. There were about five others showering in the partitioned stalls. Notwen chose one close to the exit, went into it and showered for the next ten minutes. Fifteen minutes later he stood outside waiting for the General to come out of his meeting. I wonder how long this meeting's going to take... he though while leaning against the outside wall to the training facility, a few feet away from the front door. The dark-skinned blonde sighed, thinking about the Kiramekarei. The twinswords was in the possession of his personal summon Kaala, who was currently back in his homeland of Redwing Valley. Notwen had entrusted the blade to him since being in possession of such a treasure would dangerous, given the fact that several shinobi from around the world would be converging here for the Chuunin exams. If it was possible he'd try to take one from someone else but he would not give anyone else that opportunity. Quote: Lines in this post(and subsequent posts) will be reserved for the next update.

Drake sat on the bed of his hotel room. He was wondering when the Chuunin Exam was going to begin, as there had been no real call out for the participants. Drake, after receiving his blade from the old man, had returned to Fire to bring the sword to the Elders. But, upon his arrival to the fishing village, a Leaf ninja had been sent as a courier to deliver a message to drake from the Elders. The letter had told him that he was to participate in the Chuunin exams, and that even if he succeeded in his mission or failed, he was to go straight to Lightning and the Hidden Cloud village. Drake had traveled to Lightning for a few days, and then he finally arrived. But, as he pass the main gate of the village, it occurred to him that other Genin from other country's would be arriving to Cloud, and that some may even be after the Seven blades, namely Samahada, the blade he acquired in the country of Water. So, with haste, Drake went to the nearest hotel, purchased a room and stayed the night. Now, he was wondering what to do with the blade. He had examined it already, and discovered it's traits of taking chakra, and giving it to the wielder. But, with so many shinobi in the village, it would be hard for Drake to hide the Samahada, especially during the exams. As Drake sat on his bed, he almost didn't hear the knocking on his door. Drake got startled, and then calmed down. Whoever this was couldn't have known he was in this room, or even who he was. It's possible someone saw him come here to this hotel, but why now come here. Drake waited a few moments to see if anything would happen, but there was no more knocking. So, Drake stood up and walked carefully to the door, trying to make as less noise as possible. After a moment, Drake put his hand on the door handle. Then, right before he opened the door, he felt a strange sensation course through him, and suddenly, there was a spear made of lightning in his hand. Drake didn't take the time to be startled, as he had already had the door half way open. Then, without warning he thrusted the spear forward, and stopped only a few inches from the persons face. Then he said "Who are you? And what do you want-", then stopped speaking as he saw who it was: the Uchiha he had met all that time ago. The person was standing there, though he looked different from before. The Uchiha had cut off the sleeves off his robe, plus he had a sash around his waist. He also now wore a Cloud headband, plus a metal plate on his right arm. Then, Drake looked at the mans face, and saw that his eyes had changed to the sharingan. When Drake made eye contact, he felt the chakra in his right eye course through, and felt the Eye transform it to a completely black color. Without waiting to hear what the Uchiha said, Drake reached forward with his hand, and grabbed the guy by the robe, pulling him into the room. Then Drake quickly closed the door and locked it. After taking a breath, he tried to power down his Eye, but realized he couldn't. He didn't understand why he couldn't, but right now wasn't the time. He took another breath, then turned around to confront the Uchiha.

Takera waited outside the door for a moment. Is he not here? I'm sure the innkeeper would've have said something if Drake had gone out. Takera thought to himself. At the moment his questions rose to mind the door swung open and an arm extended forth placing a physical bolt-like spear inches from his face. In the same instant the Sharingan reacted and formed in Takera's eyes. "Who are you? And what do you want-" Drake cutoff from what he was trying to say and grabbed Takera by the shoulder pulling him into the room and shutting the door behind him. Takera let Drake pull him in without resistance and upon being pulled in he noticed that Drake's eye had begun to change before passing Drake by. Though Takera became curious about Drake's eye once more, when he stumbled into the room and regained his balance his eyes widened considerably at the sight of the legendary sword Samehada that laid propped against the wall next to Drake's bed. Takera began breathing harder and his heart beat faster. Takera immediately turned to look at Drake who had now stood facing Takera. "How did you manage to acquire that sword?!" Takera rose his voice with a strong curiousity in his tone. The sharingan began to receed and his eyes returned to normal. Takera was baffled that he was denied a sword and it just so happened that Drake acquired Samehada of all the swords he could've gotten. Takera thought back on the reference book he found in the old man's house back in Wind Country that had images of each sword in it except for 2 of them. Among them Takera remembered Samehada, but the book only gave a name and picture. The details of the swords' abilities were still a mystery to Takera.
