Laiha was disappointed to see Natalia coming back, and even more so when she joined her. Laiha glared initially, just staring and watching the fuzzy girl approach and speak. The devourer had half a mind to start chewing on her plate as the gnomes worked, but then there would be nothing to put the food on. Of course, that meant she had nothing in her hands at the moment.
She looked down at herself, trying to figure what the girl wanted. She still smelled funny and was working on Laiha's appetite. Oh, wait! The thing everyone had jumped for, right. She protectively put a hand over her pocket and looked back up at Natalia, this time more unsure than threatening.

Petro's discomfort was slowly easing up as the conversation wore on and Haku and the other winged ghoul joined their group. When the gnomes arrived to announce it was meal time, Petro brightened considerably at the prospect of food. Sure he was a monster horse but it wasn't unusual for them to eat meat. "A quick bite after a brief fight sounds great!" he declared with a nod to the sphinx's invitation.
Facing the gryphon, it dawned on him just then, that "Never got your name. I'm Petro, case you didn't get mine." He gestured to the "table" where Tari and Haku had settled themselves, "Ladies first," he said with a slight bow, reminiscent of what he had shown the snake ghoul. Speaking of which, he glanced around the cabin. He'd wanted to tell her (and some of the other students) that she was incredible during the fight against the ghost sheet thing.

"Yes, that." Natalia disregarded Laiha’s motion to guard her pocket and propped one elbow on the table, pointing her index finger loosely in the girl’s direction.
This "interaction" with the devourer would have made Natalia cringe!…if she hadn’t already come to terms with the way the purple girl seemed to be. No matter how beautiful and debonair she was, and no matter how elegant her ‘ways’ may have been, it would never change Laiha’s—or anyone LIKE Laiha's mind.
She ran her free hand through her dark blue hair, pushing it away from her eyes as best she could. "I promise not to steal it. I may play rough, but I know how to also play fair."

Play rough? Playing rough assumed playing at all. How could you trust someone who might jump you for your new shiny? Laiha edged away and gently pulled the trinket from her pocket, then holding it to her chest protectively. Natalia could see, but she couldn't touch. Father had told her to be good and to try and make friends, or at least not bite. She wouldn't bite.
Yet.

With her arm still crooked, she settled her chin into the palm of her up-turned hand and sighed. "Wary little thing, aren't you? No matter, I suppose that works." And it did, seeing the object glitter in the dull glow of the room gave Natalia enough detail to fill in whatever blanks there had been.
Taking whatever generosity the girl offered in strides, Natalia spoke again with her nose gesturing to Laiha's hand. "Wonder what it is? Is there anything in it?"

Tahki didn't think it weird that she wasnt to cold but if other people did maybe it was. The gryphon faked shivered to give off the effect that she was cold even if she was quite alright in all honesty. Still she wanted to fit in.
"Ahh.." Attention had been called on her again and kinda took her by surprise, "O-oh. Im sorry. My names Tahki..err Tahki Yuki that is but .. if its easier I mean Tahki is just fine." She gave the boil a shy smile. "I'm sorry to not have given it earlier..."

Sitting and waiting for the meal as one by one they sat, Haku was brought back to a memory of the family dinners they sometimes had (as in every one of his brothers and sisters managed to make it), where they would often tease and test each other to pass the time before the head of the house took charge. Considering the presence of a sphinx, the idea of offering riddles to the group came to mind.
"Something to pass the time? I know a few riddles if you will indulge me," Haku said, shivering once more (almost as if seeing Tahki do so alerted him that eh was indeed cold). "I might not be a sphinx, but I can try to make them hard. Let's see . . ."
He paused and pondered. " . . . Food can help me survive, but water will kill me. What am I?"

"Naw, don't apologize, Tahki," Petro scratched the back of his head as he said this, "You probably mentioned it before'n I just wasn't listening," he laughed, sounding completely at ease in admitting this. He noticed her shiver, not realizing it was feigned and suggested "Maybe you could sit with Nefertari and wrap wings? Hers were pretty warm." Yes, he is clearly speaking from experience.

Aww, it looked like Astra wasn't able to get the shiny after all...
She felt disappointed, but for now it would have to wait. The cold draft that was coming in through the window and freezing the other students was also freezing herself.
"cold...cold" she mumbled, looking for somewhere she could hide and warm up. Oh hey..one of the students had a really long, bushy, and most importantly, warm looking tail. And she seemed busy trying to look at the shiny thing they all tried to catch earlier.
Most people may have asked, but this fae didn't really feel like asking. It wasn't like she was going to rip it off or anything, so she tip-toed over to the much taller looking student and jumped over the tail, hiding behind it so she could escape the chilled air.

Minnie feels the coldness around her.
"I think... Its... Your aura? You're being cold guys. I think. I... Hope?"
says Minnie with smaller voice on the 'hope' part. She sits right next to Astra.
"Its real cold isn't it?"
says Minnie to Astra. Minnie grabs her bag with invisible extension spell, and pulls out a huge, puffy, warm coat.
"Here you go. Use it."
Minnie puts the coat in Astra's hand, then stands up.

Amidst her conversation (however one-sided it turned out to be) with Laiha, Natalia felt a slight tug on her tail. Nothing painful, and in fact she would have shrugged it off if the two girls hadn't started talking right behind her...Gazing down to the two individuals, a light chuckle escaped her.
Getting close to her tail for warmth? That was kind of cute.
Watching the jacket switch hands, the were-lemur decided not to say a word to either, glancing back to her purple seat neighbor and continuing to wait for any kind of answer.
Haku...wasn't it? Catching his riddle last minute, the girl lulled an answer that was farfetched; she wasn't entirely listening though.
"A baby on a pool deck"...Wait, what? Oh jack help her.

J.P. look around and saw everyone talking. He want to go up to one them and start to talk to them to but he didn't know what to say. So he just did what he all way do. He yell out a big loud HELLO to anyone and everyone hoping someone would talk to him. He wag his tail and waited with big puppy eyes. Oh how he wish to make a friend.

"No," Haku said evenly despite inward wtfness he had at the wereghoul's answer, just in time to wince as another of the passengers barked to get attention. After the glass breaking and metal-giving-in sounds, this inugami was starting to get fed up with loud noises. Pointed giving the boy a look, he indicated an empty spot at their table.
"No need to shout."

Time for a Game!G wasn't sure where this situation was going. It made him mildly uncomfortable. That meant... With a rattle of his game-bucket, the swamp beast announced "Gaaaame tiiiiiime." And so it was! Gingerly fishing out a pair of hissing, wiggling dice, G gave them a toss and winced as they all but ricocheted off the windows. Whoops.
"Closest to G's number gets a pet! Or seeds!" He said enthusiastically. Hopefully people would want to play, right?
And there would be no babies on anything. Rules!Roll two 20 sided dice!
The three people closest to G's number will get a prize!

"Are the dice supposed to moving around like that," Morrigan asked, surprised. Not only were they moving around but they were making noises. She walked over to pick them up from where they bounced off and instantly dropped them. She was sure one of them had just bitten her! What the hell kind of dice were these? She had to bend over to see what numbers the dice had rolled. She wasn't about to touch them again.
"Not even close," she grumbled. Why did they have to go and bite her like that anyway?
