Selael The Pyromancer Selael nods slowly, though it seemed he didn't like the notion of someone actually owning the feather... As he said earlier, he didn't believe the feather should belong to anyone. His apprehension became almost visible on his face... He adjusted his robe once more, waiting for the Wind Shift to take effect.
This time, he saw it coming and was more prepared for it. He wobbled a bit beforehand, but regained his footing rather quickly. He prepared to follow Maarick to wherever the Princess was to turn in the feather...

Tell them all to never fear Tell them what they want to hear Tell them all the blissfull lies Watch them leave with hopeful eyes... Eric Halen Your Fortune awaits --------------------------- The breeze seemed out of place in a desert city such as Aden. Eric was hungry, and wanted to find some place to eat. He had a fair amount of money on him, so he was going to eat a nice, above average meal. He walked past many good places to eat, but none of them really suited his fancy. What was he to eat? He didn't want soup, and he didn't want a simple salad. He wanted something more fulfilling. He wanted a feast, with exquisite meat. He could afford it, so why not get it? Eric's mouth watered at the thought, but still, he found no place that served what he really wanted.
Eric had heard that the food got better as one moved closer to the castle, so Eric began to travel towards the castle, hoping to fing a meal that would indulge his hunger. But still, nothing seemed to satisfy. Eric continued his walk towards the castle, until evenually, there it was. The castle stood tall and regally. Unfortunately, much to Eric's dismay, no restaurant serving what Eric seeked. ...Let them waste their wealth on you though you say what isn't true Go and live to your delight The fortune teller strikes tonight

Maarick turned to Selael and just smiled. "In time you may learn." He said turning away from him. He then then proceeded to walk to the edge of the clock tower. Maarick looked down quickly then turned to Selael and nodded. He took a step off, falling. As the ground came closer, Maarick landed bending his knee's. He gave a quick glance up the clock tower to see if Selael was coming but then quickly turned and began to walk toward the castle. ((sorry it's short))
Lilith The Celestial wake Lilith looked from one side to another as her head was under Dadrik's arms. A gesture of her looking if anyone was around. She had a playful smile on. Obviously there wouldn't be anyone around but she thought it put emotion into this conversation. " Well I don't know. Dadrik may get a little upset that I told you that his little brother could beat him up." Lilith said sarcastically. "But since I like you so much Foxy, I guess I can." She said with a little giggle. "Ok, so you seen Dadrik open up. After he says ten percent. But that's all you seen. We can go up to 100 percent. With each level our power increases." She said with a slightly sarcastically serious face. By this time they were close to Dadrik's room. " But we have to say it to unleash it. Hence why he says it. But, Maarick is the exception to that. He doesn't have to say it." She said with a quick giggle, but then went back to her playful serious look. " The difference between my brother is in the percentage itself. He is stronger by 50 percent. Meaning even if Dadrik open's up 50 percent of his power. Maarick would be able to go toe to toe with him." She said with a quick nod. "But he doesn't really go into his because...." She then bit her lip a little and looked away for a moment. " He doesn't like the cost of it. None of us do." she told Beatrix as the doorway to Dadrik's room was now in site. " We are about there." She said with a smile returning.

Beatrix listened closely to Lilith's words. Her eyes widened when she explained how powerful Maarick really was compared to Dadrik. What also surprised her was that Maarick was actually younger than Dadrik. The way Maarick could calm Dadrik down made her believe that he was the older on. She also wondered how they got such power to begin with. She didn't remember anything in the book that said about it. Her ears lowered and she let out a soft sigh. The question that still burned in her mind was, what are they? She looked over at Lilith and raised a brow when she said something about the cost of using the power. "Wait...what is the cost of it?" she asked
She looked ahead at the door way to the room. She hadn't really been paying attention to her surroundings. Trix looked around an a frown appeared on her lips. Great...I should have been paying attention just a bit...I have a feeling that I'm going to get lost in this place... She shook her head and looked back over at Dadrik then to his sister, waiting for some answer.

Selael The Pyromancer Selael walked toward the tower in suit, his normally frosty stare seeming to drop to sub-zero after the "In time you may learn" remark. He kept himself in check as he approached the clock tower, the robe flowing behind him as he walked into it. As far as Selael was concerned, putting the feather in the hands of any single person was just a bad idea... When people have power, they lack the self control to not use it. This princess is likely just like anyone else, and it'd be erroneous to believe that anyone could possibly handle power like that without being completely ignorant to it.
"Your continual patronization grows tiresome." His voice held no real emotional content, but the choice of words made it clear that he was at least mildly irritated. Just because he was unnaturally powerful didn't give him a place to push Selael about and treat him like a child. He supposed that respect is a concept that escapes these people. They fancy themselves so supernatural and unbelievably powerful that they don't need to respect anyone and can act however they want... He kept his temper in check, though... There would be a time to release it... Like if this princess turned out to be untrustworthy.

Maarick stopped and turned to Selael. He let out a sigh, It seemed like Selael misinterpreted his meaning. " I mean no disrespect by that." He told the man. He sensed his irritations both in him and his words. " I only meant that when the time comes, you'll see why I say it is hers. The phoenix 'will' Rise again. And its coming fast. The thing I ask you is... if it comes down to it. Will you protect the people, or be on the side of those who seek to use the phoenix because they are of the supposed side of Aden? You seem to have a sense of justice. " He then cocked his eye at him. " Also, your taking what I say out of context. I do not mean to patronize. Merely open your eyes what you refuse to except. I know you believe the feather not to be any one person's. But would you really refuse that which would make the phoenix whole again? Also, the feather will be guarded if your worried about that. I'm not giving it to the Princess necessarily. She is returning it to the tower it was once in. So that Aden can protect it once again. Your afraid of someone taking the feather and using it. But there are plenty of people in Aden that can get ahold of the feather for they're own use. People who are trying at this moment. Clarence was one of them, but now he's dead. And since he is dead, maybe he will open up an opportunity for us to find out who was really behind the kings death. As well as why they seek the feather." Maarick then turned and started to walk through the streets toward the castle but stopped before he got to far from Selael. Looking over his shoulder Maarick took a small breath. " If I offended you, I am sorry. " He said turning away to continue walking toward the castle.
Lilith The Celestial wake Lilith looked down at the floor when she asked that. They just then reached the doorway. Going inside there was a nice bed along with a desk, large door leading to a patio looking out to the lake. " Well...Thats something not even I would like to share. My brother would be mad." She said taking Dadrik away from Beatrix, carrying him over to the bed and laying him down. She then walked around the bed and to the patio, looking out to the lake. She stood on her toes and stretched out breathing in the air and taking in the false suns light. " If you knew then it may change your perspective on us. You may think us monsters just as the books of past say." She said opening her eyes and looking back to Beatrix.

Beatrix titled her head the the side and a frown appeared on her lips as she watched Lilith carry her brother over to the bed. She looked over at Dadrik for a few moments before joining her out on the balcony. "Monsters? what do you mean?" she asked. "How can I even think of you in a way?" she shook her head and she walked over the the banister that was along the ledge. She looked out at the lake and let out a soft sigh. Their home was rather beautiful, she had never seen anything like it before. All the mansions she had seen from outside gates can't compare. Not even the Castle in Aden. "If you won't tell me then thats fine. I won't push a matter if it's something you do not want to talk about....I just can't see how I can ever think of you in that way. You all have helped me so much. Maarick even called me family...Thats something I've never had." she turned around and face Lilith. "As for what the books say about you...I don't believe that I've ever read anything that talks ill about your family. I only know what Clarence's daughter had read to me." She walked over to Lilith and took her hands. "But like I said. I won't push it if it is not something to talk about." Thought Beatrix did feel a tad disappointed. They knew of her and what she was but she knew nothing of them. Only what she had read or heard. It felt as though she really didn't have their trust but it something that she would have to live with. Trix let out a heavy sigh and let go of her hands. She returned to the banister looking out at the scenery below. "It's really beautiful here...I have never seen anything like this before"

Selael The Pyromancer He continued up the stairs, noting what he was being told... The Phoenix rising once more would be something interesting to see, but highly unlikely. As for the royalty being corrupt, he was fairly sure exactly what he would do should it become evident that one of them became corrupt... He'd burn them to cinders with the flame they foolishly sought to control. He did grow tired of Maarick's constant protesting and acting like Selael wasn't aware that people were trying to take the feather for their own ends. Why else would he be torching anyone who stole any feather from the Phoenix? This wind user was incredibly irritating... It's been taking every fiber of his existence to prevent him from trying to torch the smug b*****d here and now. But, he'd save it for later. There was someone who was more deserving of being incinerated than a mouthy jerk who makes it his point to show how much better he is all the chances he can get.
He did not speak, though. He kept silent. There was still a solution... Torch whoever used the feather for the wrong reasons... Or simply used it at all. He did secretly wish that people were more like him... Though, that would be an impossible request. No one would want to control themselves as much as he did, at least, no one he met. No one was worthy of the Phoenix's power except the Phoenix. He already understood that. He was perfectly fine with the Phoenix rising again and being made whole... It's people handling the feather he had objections to.
How can he trust people who let their emotions dictate every action they take?

No sleep No sleep until I am done with finding the answer Won't stop Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer Sometimes I feel I going down and so disconnected Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted . As Lilith was about to speak she just closed her lips and continued to gaze at the lade. Dadrik slowly opened his eyes turning his head quietly toward the two girls. He listened to the last part. There was something in her voice. Slowly he got out of bead, being sure not to alert Beatrix. But with her ears he probably wouldn't succeed. He then walked to the balcony as she spoke, leaning against the door way. Once she mentioned this place was beautiful he smiled. " It quite is isn't it." He said with a smile. His face then became more serious."What she means by monsters from the books is..well people wright about things that they see, about occurrences that weren't meant to be seen. Accidents, construeding what they really were, what really happened.. Your book was only one of many. But not all the books are directly linked together. One would find the books which Clarence's Daughter ready you and one of monsters. But they would never figure that the beings in each book were one in the same. There are Legends of our family, the Da'vion's. And legends of other creatures. Creatures that hunt Vampires......" He took a breath in and out, still not looking at her. " The price is blood...not our blood...but.." He paused for a moment. " Vampire blood." He told her not looking at her. As if he was ashamed.
Maarick knew his words were just irritating him. He could read it clear as day. " I supposed I'll just shut my mouth now..." he said a little disappointed. The continued to the castle walking the streets. Finally they made it to the gates to the front of the castle being stopped by guards. " Halt, what is your business." A guard asked the two men. " Oh, pardon me, I'm here to see the princess. She is expecting me. Can you please go tell her Maarick is here with her belonging?" He said kindly to the guard. They looked at each other real quick and one nodded. " We will go check, please wait." One said then turned and ran into the castle. ((Now we wait for the princess))

Selael The Pyromancer Selael seemed to be satisfied that he was no longer being talked to. Business was finally being conducted... Well, only starting to be, but at least now something was getting done with the feather. He pulled up one of his tomes and began flipping through it as he waited for the Princess to finally address them. In the meantime, he'd be reviewing his spells and how he'd be using him... So far, he hadn't actually had to do anything, but eventually it may get to the point where he'd be able to employ his skills... It may be swiftly eclipsed by whoever happens to be nearby, but he preferred actually being able to act to waiting for something to happen.

Beatrix was too occupied with the conversation that she was having with Lilith and the scenery that she wasn't paying much attention to the Dadrik approaching. When she heard his voice her ears perked up and she turned around. She greeted him with a smile but it faded when the look on his changed to a more serious one.
Trix tilted her head to the side as she listened to Dadrik closely as he explained. When he said blood was the price it confused her for a moment. When she heard the rest of what he had to say she was silent and stared at him with wide eyes of shock. "V...vampire blood?" she asked. She was unsure really what to do or say. "As in you have to feed off of vampires?" she wasn't really sure what to say. She had never even met a vampire before but she had heard of their kind. People who were turned or who were born with such blood. They really were a secret society of beings. She would have thought that they would be at the top of the list, she had never heard of a being that would hunt them.
Beatrix took a few step toward him. Her eyes looked in to his but his gaze didn't seem to want to meet her's. She could tell that he was ashamed of this. "Hunt..does that mean kill as well?" she asked.

No sleep No sleep until I am done with finding the answer Won't stop Won't stop before I find a cure for this cancer Sometimes I feel I going down and so disconnected Somehow I know that I am haunted to be wanted . Dadrik moved his eyes farther away when Beatrix tried to meet his. He couldn't really believe he was telling her all this. This is something that they don't tell many at all. " Essentially..yes. It means kill. If we directly bite a Vampire..it is deadly to them no matter what we do. That's how we are made. But if I bit a human or you. I could chose for it to harm you, or not. . But.....it goes farther then that. Vampires are in incredible pain when doing so. And for alot longer then just they're death. We could say, take it out of them and drink it...but for some reason the effect isn't the same as if we...took it directly from the source. " He explained to her. He felt that if he knew her past, then she has a right to know about him a bit more. " And without it we break down, become weaker and eventually can die." He told her. " It's not like we have a choice...nor is it like we had a choice to become this...." He said finally meeting his eyes with hers. " We only go for vampires with ill intentions...ones that hurt people." Dadrik assured.

Lilith The Celestial wake Lilith then jumped in the middle of them. "That is why Maarick hates it as well. He think's it's wrong to do so... So he doesn't do it very often at all. That's why he can't go any further then 50 percent of his abilities right now. It's been..way to long for him to go without it. It may not look like it but he is in a bit of a weakened state right now." She added in.

Beatrix's ears lowered as she listened to him. It really was such a painful way to die. To feel pain even after death and how helpless that must feel to do anything to stop it. She wouldn't have guess that this was what he avoid telling her. She remember asking him about what he was and he never gave her an answer. It wasn't like they could stop this either. It was either this or death and she didn't want to think about them dying. It did make her feel a bit better to know that they only went for the vampires with ill intentions. She trusted Dadrik's word. Trix did fell in a sense happy that they did trust her enough to tell her about it. She gave Dadrik a small smile but it faded when she heard Lilith's foot steps toward them.
Her gaze fell on Lilith as she jumped in the middled of them and spoke. "Weak state?" she was right. She would have never guess that he was weak right now. He still seemed to have incredible power. "Thats not good.." she mumbled softly to herself. She was concerned about their brother. "How much longer do you think can go without it?" she asked. "And..uhm...is there a name to what you guys are?"

Dadrik nodded at Beatrix. "Yeah, none of really would with how he handles it. He covers it up but right now he is actually in some pain along with struggling with his need to...do that." he said hesitantly. "But I am afraid of what might happen if he doesn't soon. It's been way to long, more then he should let go. He's once lasted about 300 years without doing it...but that ended badly...real badly. It's called going berserk for us. And he's done it a couple times. That's where people get they're stories of horrid creatures. How massacres of towns happened in less then a day. But the bad thing is...the longer he is in that state. The stronger he gets....he can reach a level far surpassing his 100 percent...." Dadrik explained to her, he did have a concerned look in his eyes. " Reason why I'm telling you this is because you have a right to know. And..if it came down to that, I wouldn't want you to find out by it happening like that." He said with a small nod. "As for what we are called....no one of these days know this name, but we are Crusnik's..." He replied to her last question.

Beatrix frowned as she heard about the results of Maarick's lack of blood intake. That didn't sound good at all. If he goes berserk at the castle then everyone in Aden would be in danger. She hoped that didn't happen, especially while he was returning the feather to the princess. she fought back a shudder towards the thought. To think that Maarick could hold so much more power, that worried her if he didn't get what he needed.
Trix's gaze met Dadriks and she walked over to him. "Crunsik..." she repeated, learning the new word. She reached out and gently took his hand. "I've been curious for some time to what you guys were...and why you didn't want to tell me when I asked a couple times before...I see why." she let out a soft sigh and glanced over at Lilith for a moment. "I remember Maarick told me that he thought if I knew then it would change my perspective you...and Lilith, You said that as well." She looked back up at Dadrik and gave his hand a little squeeze. "I'll admit. I would be terrified of you all if I knew when I met you.." she looked away from him but a soft smile appeared on her lips. "All of you have helped me and accepted me...how can I ever think that you guys were monsters? You three are the only people who actually took the time to help me...You are far from such tales that people tell." She looked at the damage on Dadrik's coat and frowned. "I'm sorry about your coat...among many other things that have happened to you."
