Liplopman XxLeComtesseAndrogynexX Dorian smirked at Nam's words and showed him the cover of his "Advanced Transfiguration" book. It was a pretty light tone for its contents, or so Dorian thought.
"skates? ...um... yeah, maybe I could find something in here...or if you have them somewhere else, can you not summon them?" he inquired, almost naively and hoped his suggestions could be of some use. He sat himself down on the ice and flipped through a couple pages((of to bed right now... will catch up later)) Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Nam smirked back and crawled over to his side in an almost feral manner. "Not a bad idea, but I don't have any, I've never skated before. Ciara said Liviana was suggesting it though, maybe she has some." He peered over Dorian's shoulder at the book's contents.
So far he saw how to make pumpkin's into carriages (that explained Cinderella. He wondered who on earth could have dreamed up something like that.), pea pods into canals (this must be a transportation section), leaves into lanterns, wrappers into handbags...
He glanced up at the girls and silently gestured for them to come over. He figured if they didn't care to, they wouldn't.
(( Alright. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the wee buggies bite. ))((Thank you.)) 1st year. Dorian scratched his head trying to find something to aid him and the others get some ice-skates. If the others did not have any, then perhaps one of them could know how to produce them out of thin air... maybe. "Um... who knows how to produce objects out of thin air?"

Ciara noticed Nam gesturing for her to join him along side Dorian.
She stood up a bit shakily and wobbled, slipped and slid to the edge of the lake, her arms whirling at her sides in a desperate attempt to keep what little balance she had.
She shook her head at Dorian's question, not having the foggiest idea on how one would go about conjuring something out of thin air. She mused at ther term 'thin air' wondering if there was such a thing as thick air. Would think air be fog or was that another beast entirely.
With a small blush, she realized she had completely jumped tracks on her train of thought and hoped she didn't slip into her dazed look that was a clear sign she was elsewhere at the moment.

Nam didn't know how to conjure anything. He went back to thinking about how to make some though. He'd learned how to turn matches into needles in transfiguration, perhaps he could try turning sticks to skates. And he knew there was a permanent sticking charm, he could look that up. He'd looked up the duplicating charm, they could all double their shoes...
Nam saw Ciara was having a hard time staying steady on the ice. He nudged Dorian softly with the handle of his wand. "Looks like she could use a hand." He whispered in his ear.

Kima stepped outside onto the chilly grounds and looked around for a place to sit. She wandered around and found a quiet place along a row of trees, looking over the vast lake and the surrounding forest. From her bag, she pulled out one of her books and laid it down beside her. With a sigh, she placed her back against the tree and looked out toward the horizan, and allowed her mind to wander.

Ciara paced back and forth, wondering where cheep and practical skates could be found. Hogsmead? She doubted it.
"Come on Ciara, are you a witch or aren't-" Her verbal berating of herself was cut short as she stumbled and finally slipped across a thin sheet of ice, slicker than the rest of the lake. Her arms flailed at her side to prevent the inevitable, but it was to no avail. The next thing she knew, she was flat on her back, looking into the grey sky above her. For a moment, all she did was watch as the delicate snowflakes gracefully wafted down from the heavens.
"Ow," she groaned.

"Ciara! Are you okay?" Nam skidded over on his hands and legs and his head interjected her vision of the sky. He wasn't even sure why he was so concerned. He heard the ice cracking beneath their pooled weight. Guess it's now or never... I hope it works. He pointed his wand at the plate of frost beneath them. "Glacius." There was more cracking, but this one was of water solidifying and expanding. He sighed in relief that he hadn't sent them both into freezing water. He looked down, scanning her features carefully.

Ciara looked up at Nam, her eyes a little less than focused. She tried to focus on his voice but it seemed distorted, fuzzy almost. She blinked several times and brought his face into focus.
"Hi," she said a bit unsure.
Color crept across her cheeks at how awkward she must have looked. She hid her face in her hands, embarrassed she had caused trouble because she was careless.

Nam was concerned when her expression was swimming and all she said was 'hi', he thought maybe she'd hit her head so bad she'd forgotten where she was or something like that. But then she did that signature motion of hiding her rosy face behind her palms. He smiled. "I'm glad you're alright." Thinking back to their conversation in Defense Against the Dark Arts, he added, "You were very graceful just now." Perhaps he was just creating a new definition for the word, but he meant it. He couldn't describe what it was, but he felt it.

Ciara peeked through her fingers at him, not daring to reveal any more of her bright crimson face.
"I'm so graceful, I should change my name to better personify it," she quipped sarcastically. Her voice was muffled but she spoke the words still in good humor.
She removed her hands from around her face and sat up slowly, catching herself as her hands more than once lost their traction on the ice.

*Watches as Ciara falls and Nam rushes to help her* Hmm... *Begins to ponder his response and his obvious denial of releasing more information* Well... If you change your mind. *Nods to Nam, then begins sliding around on the ice with her slippery shoes, humming tunelessly to herself*

(( yeah...I totally missed all of that... xD)) Dorian stood up to go over to Ciara who seemed to be better now. "Pardon my absentmindedness there, and I am glad you are seem to be not so injured by the ice. And thanks to Nam's quick reflexes." he added awkwardly and gave Ciara a smile. On the subject of creating/acquiring skates, Dorian was not so positive anymore, so he looked at the ice and began to trace swirling patterns on it with his gloved fingers.
