Tayu flushed with the praise...unlike the simpering compliments of the nobles back home, this one was without need for higher power or greed. It was pure honesty.
But it faded quickly as she turned to Ty Lee. "I am also curious to know why." she said, clearly upset, "Why...after all that's been achieved from peace...would you follow some one else's desire for destruction? Azula's aspirations for the world wouldn't keep people alive. She and Ozai...do you think they'll care whether or not they slaughter a whole continent?"

Tai Lee just stared and after 10 minutes she replied Azula forced me to or she would destroy everything I cared about. She then asked what are you going to do to me?

Tayu looked over Ty Lee carefully. She wasn't able to look at any of them in the eye, darting around desperate for escape. She was someone who had not recieved the end of mercy often...leaving her frightened and unpredictable.
"Please excuse me sensei."
Tayu, once again summoning her slight Earthbending, broke two of the bars holding the prison up. She then grabbed the shocked Ty Lee by the arm and walked her forcefully to the edge of the quarry. The work from the day had caused her honey-colored hair to fall long and loose over her shoulders, making Tayu looked more defined.
Ty Lee wriggled worriedly, but stopped when Tayu halted them at the edge...a long drop down should Tayu choose to push her. But instead, Tayu looked out over the mountains, thick with forests and winding rivers.
"See these mountains? See these forests? I've learned from my classes that it takes the earth over a hundred years to carefully build it to something like this. It does nothing but give, the enviornment blooms with resources and life for anything that comes to it. Even when a tree falls and dies it gives back to the earth by decomposing and enriching the soil."
"But with fire...there is nothing more to give." she continued, with a steady grip on Ty Lee's arm, "It can burn this entire forest down within a day and leave nothing, and it will take another hundred years to build one anew."
Finally, she turned Ty Lee to look at her. Ty Lee was older and taller, but Tayu was determined to set her straight. "That's exactly the kind of path that Ozai and Azula pursue...a short and violent path that gives birth to nothing. It's only followed by people too impatient to wait for things to bloom on their own...a stupid path. If I were to let you go now, returning to them would only leave you as scorched and barren as this place when they're done with it. In more ways than one. Even so..." she looked back over the lush landscape. "King Kuei always said that no goal worth pursuing was ever easy."

Trou looked at Tayu from behind a tree and listened to them.
Ty Lee then said. "I doont want to return to that old life. I want to help rebuild this land and stop Ozai and Azula from destroying the world. I even know where they are keeping the Avatar and his friends. Please don't send me back to them, please."
Trou looked at her and used his earthbending to see if she was lying, but she was telling the truth. He walked up to them and said "she's telling the Truth Tayu, and also here is your beads back all 44 of them."

Terra sighed, "Does anyone know where we have to hide that Azula, nor her friends, father, and son, doesn't know where we're going to stay!?" She asked the gang.
Roku shook his head, "We have our home, but she use to live there."

Tayu gently cupped the beads from Trou, and tied them in a drawstring bag, before turning to Iskander. "Sensei, perhaps we could continue to train as we travelled. I never meant to leave this place without mastering Earthbending first...but if I didn't take advantage of the situation then it could be the difference between whether or not the Earth Kingdom falls."
Ty Lee was hanging back, unsure and still unsteady. Tayu gently took her by the hand. "It's all right. I'm sure if you explain yourself and ask them, they'll be ready to forgive you. And when everything's set right I'm going to help you-"
But she was cut off by the cry of a hawk. Everyone turned, and saw a familiar messenger hawk flying, bearing the signature Fire Nation ensignia. "But that's a messenger hawk from the Fire Nation court." Tayu said dazed. Ty Lee took the bird unto her arm. "Look!" Ty Lee pointed, "The royal seal...could...could Azula have sent this?"
Tayu was unsure. But either way, she unhooked the clasp on the messenger tube, and read silently.
Something was wrong. Very wrong.
Tayu's eyes grew wide with every passing line, her lip trembling in her old terrified self. She crumbled the letter up into and ball, clenching it in her fist.
"It...it is nothing. A mistake." she said quietly, containing herself. She looked around before seeing a still burning bush. With a hurried pace, she threw the crumpled letter into the fire, letting it burn until it was nothing but sparks and ash...

Tai Lee was worried about this new war that Ozai and Azula were planning.

"It's nothing!" Tayu said in a fluster, "Please...lets just get ready. We need to find Terra and Raki and tell them of this development."

Tai Lee was worried but she then asked um... I know that this is unusual but why are you helping me, Miss Tayu?

Putting his sword on his back, back facing Tayu and Trou, Iskander turned back to Tayu for her question. "I never said your training was on hold. Of course you'll train! You'll train till you're able to crush all foes that stand in your way! ,,,or pass out form exhaustion. Whichever comes first." he said, jokingly, laughing as he started off towards the direction of the nearest town. They needed supplies, and with Iskander's home containing mostly heavy meat, it would take too long to cit it and package it, not to mention they didn't have a waterbender who could keep it cold for them as they traveled. So, bread, water, possibly wine if he could, were the top of the list items. And of course, he could always go "fishing".

As Iskander and Trou began to pack, Tayu put a hand on Ty Lee's shoulder. "A long time ago, I was told it was essential to marry well and be an ideal princess in order to preserve the dignity of my throne. But..." she looked at the pouch of royal beads, omitting one hidden under her clothes. "There's so many ways to do that. And if we're going to help protect everyone then we need to learn to forgive people who deserve it."

Meanwhile, Terra and Roku helped everyone get on Appa. Terra went to the ropes and shouted, "Yip Yip!" Appa flew high in the sky and they hear a fog horn, it was one of Azula's battle ships and Ty Longe was on the ship watching them.

Iskander passed Tayu, he stopped, and glanced grimly down at her. "I'd give up on the idea you can save everyone, kid. Not only is it impossible, it's unhealthy to dream on." he said, before walking off to make sure there wasn't anyone still around. He didn't wait to hear Tayu's response to his statement.
