As the massive wave thundered toward land, the shark within dove to swim underneath it. It could smell Mizuki and it thought the water creature would make a wonderful pre-landfall snack. It turned to angle it's progress towards her, powerful jaws gnashing as it swam. Above water, the sound would have been terrifying, like a thousand porcelain knives all clacking together in unison and grinding particles of bone as they slammed together. In a matter of seconds, the shark would be upon Misuki and unless she was faster than the monster, she'd likely find herself missing limbs in a moment. Getting to land was an option, it would take the shark a bit to get steady on it's legs, but that split second would have to be used to sprint away. It's land-speed couldn't match it's swimming power, but it's size and thus stride well made up for it's cumbersome body. The whooshing sound of the repeated biting was getting ever closer and the window to act was shrinking rapidly.

Mizuki had down her best to stay still but her best wasn't good enough. The mermaid could try to out swim it though it would be fruitless to do so. The dance teacher could charm it with her beauty though she didn't want the creature in love with her. The teacher could summon the legendary trident of Atlantis though there were good reason to avoid that too. As the shark creature came towards her there was one final thing she could think of. She was a siren of the sea. She could hopefully stun it long enough with her voice to get away. The mermaid let out her sonic scream hoping it would by her enough time that she would have to use the trident.

Sakura came running in as fast as she could. She had a staff for water shifting in her hand. She knew what was happening and she wanted to help. When she came to the beach she noticed a girl. Then she heard the sonic scream coming to the girl. Sakura thought to herself, I have save the girl before the shark thing gets to her! Sakura then noticed that the shark was hurting because of the sound. Sakura screamed as loud as she could. "Good! Keep screaming!" Sakura then shifted her hands. It was good the girl was in the sea. Sakura made a strong, frozen water shield that was thick and as high as the shark. So that way if the shark attacked then the girl would be protected. Sakura then made it rain, and the beach turned dark. Sakura froze the rain near her and made it pointy like a sword. Sakura then got her staff, and twirled the frozen rain faster and faster. When Sakura got a good grip she threw the frozen pointy rain at the shark. She knew that it wouldnt kill it, but it would kind of hurt it. The pointy rain pieces stabbed the shark deeper and deeper. She hoped it would at least get hurt. Sakura looked at the girl, and was really worried for her. "Hey! Do you want me to pull you out of there?"

The shark was nearing Mizuki when she screamed. The creature reeled, visibly tensing with pain as the water reverberated around it and it's senses were abused. Even so, it's momentum carried it but instead of slamming to the woman, it hit a thick wall of ice and bounced off. For a moment it was stunned, it's nose slightly bloodied from a nick in the ice. It wouldn't be had by frozen water again. By now, the wave was also coming loser and the riptide more strong. The current began pulling at Mizuki and the winds picked up on the beach where Sakura waited. As the shards of ice came at the shark, one might swear it smiled. When the ice sickles hit the water, the sea offered enough resistance that they slowed and moved off course, perhaps a dozen of these needles actually striking the creature. With the water bound woman shielded, the shark came for Sakura. As it reached land, the eight crab-like legs fanned out and hoisted it up. It was faster on land than perhaps Sakura had expected and it charged her, mouth chomping as it had in the water. Open, shut, open, shut, all while sending a sickening and gut wrenching sound through the air. The rain had little effect other than to fuel the incoming tidal wave. Sakura would be swallowed whole if she didn't defend herself.

Mizuki saw that her screams were working. She could still fight in the water. She didn't need her legs to do everything. Her smile of victory turned to the look of horror when she notice the ice wall. Not only could she be trapped and the creature come below her but there was a student in danger as the shark changed who he was attacking. Her scream couldn't reach that far. The mermaid swam closer. Trying to make as much noise to get the shark-crab after her over the student. "Hey Ugly." She called out yelling. "Look free fish." She added. It was a reason she could never date a cat. Her other choice was to us the trident.

Sakura was stunned when the shark came closer. Now, her eyes were widening. She couldnt belive that the needles were doing nothing to the monster. Sakura couldnt move while the monster was charging at her. Sakura was happy that the other student was helping her and was trying to get the shark to her. "Thank you." Sakura smiled but then she had to get serious. She tried to run away from the monster and when she got near the sea she stood there. Then she got her staff and started waving it. While she was waving it some water from the sea was following it. Then Sakura made the water circle the monster. Faster faster Sakura waved it. Then when there was enough water she carried the monster up. Then Sakura froze the tornado frozen solid. Then she set the tornado with the shark gently as she could so it wouldnt break. The shark could still move still. Then Sakura was focusing and charging her power.

[[Panda, you're god-modding a bit so please be careful. Just watch the auto-hits. Thanks smile ]]
By all means, the shark should have gobbled Sakura whole but somehow the girl managed to squeak by so that she was on the water side of the beast. This land prey seemed easier than that one in the water, but she was quick. The shark spun around for another go at the little water bender. Just as it was beginning to accelerate, water began to circle it. Salt water wasn't about to scare it and it charged straight through the swirling rapids. Just as it was about to chomp down on Sakura's torso, the water behind it froze, trapping his tail. It made the shark jerk back with the sudden weight and his legs scuttled trying to rebalance itself. When Sakura set the frozen tornado down, the sharp bottom lodged in the sand and with every tug the shark made, it dug deeper and pulled his back fin down with it. Soon, the shark was somewhat pacing side to side as it tried to move forward and finish off the girl who had done this to it. It gnashed its teeth more furiously that before but he was stuck and couldn't put his sharp teeth to work. He wasn't flexible enough to bend around and bite away the ice.
The tidal wave was getting ever closer and would crash on the beach soon and wipe out a mile of wild life and any students that happened to be caught in it. Not to mention, Mizuki would be hurl up and crushed against the earth as the wave came down and Sakura swept away with the force.

((Sorry sweatdrop ))
Now since the shark was digging and digging its way through the sand Sakura had no idea what to do. She got more and more nervous every time the shark moved. She turned to Mizuki and chuckled. "Have and other ideas?" Sakura knew that she had to work with Mizuki as quickly as possible. This shark was too much to handle for only two girls.

Mizuki had to get out of the water. That would mean removing her mermaid tail and showing some things that she didn't want the world to see. She wouldn't be able to get free if she didn't. The teacher swam as close to shore as she could without beaching herself. Using her arms she removed her bottom. All she would have on how was her swim bra. "Box him in." She called out. Even if they could beat it, they could at least contain it till someone got her to fix it. Mizuki now how do deal with how keeping the shark busy while the student boxed him in. Maybe she could get it to ram his head in the ice confusing it for a time. The teacher walked to the front. slamming fist against the ice and again yelling at the creature. It was like taunting it.

[[It's been a week since either of you have posted and I need to close down this event.]]
The shark tried to swing around to bite at Mizuki as she smacked at the ice cone holding it in place. The fervent gnashing now that he could almost taste the woman in his mouth was becoming ever more bone chilling. While lashing his head back and forth, it kicked out with a hind leg at the staff member, trying to bat her away from the solid funnel and into its chomping range. At the same time, it was turning back to try and snap up Sakura. It would have one of them if it killed it.
Just as it pulled the ice close enough to crush down on Sakura with its jaws, the tidal wave breached and came crashing down onto the shore. The force obliterated the ice that had held the beast captive, setting it free. He would have jumped on one of the girls, but they were being swept away by the water. Both of them tumbled end over end, rendered unconscious by the blast. They were separated and pulled toward unknown destinations. The shark turned to pursue Mizuki, but a vibration came through the water as he gave chase that made it stop. If it could have shown emotion, it would have looked mighty grumpy as it turned back out to sea.
The two girls' fate was uncertain. Would they come to more harm? Would they drown? Would they ever be found again? At least they weren't eaten, they still had a chance.
[[Look for you characters around campus. I will be making posts regarding them shortly.]]

Lillie stopped with Yuri on the land balcony that over looked the beach. The balcony had several picnic tables on it and it was away from any houses. Making it a perfect stop to look at the stars on a beautiful night. "The beach is rather popular during the day and night. During the day the students and teachers can swim and during the night there are romantic picnics and star gazing every once in a while." She told her friend.

▬Yuri § Solotov▬ Smiling as he looked out to the deep blue waters that met the sky at the horizon, Yuri stepped forwards a little and leant on the railings of the balcony. "I can see why it's such a popular place." He said, smiling when she mentioned star gazing. He had always had an untamed curiosity for the stars that seemingly hung in the air at night, hiding away when the sun came up, only to reappear when the sun set again. Looking down at the white sand, he saw that there wasn't many, if any, people there at the moment. Looking back at Lillie, he smiled. "Race you to the shore?"

Lillie giggled. It was a childish notion that was always fun to do. "Last one there is a rotten egg." She joked before dashing away and towards the shore line. It had been a long time since someone called her out to do something. It was fun and she wished she had more friends to do it with more often. "Slowpoke." She called out to Yuri.

▬Yuri § Solotov▬ Yuri was traling behind by a little, but mostly because he wasn't exactly ready whe she had taken off. Closing the gap till it was almost neck and neck, Yuri made it a bit too late, hitting the sand a split second after Lillie did. Once the two had slowed down to a stop, he couldn't help but laugh as he caught his breath. "I guess you win this round then." He said between small fits of laughter. He couldn't remember a time where he laughed like that, let alone have fun like that. He sat down in the sand and smiled up at her, shielding his eyes from the sunlight with his hand. "I'll win next time, I promise you that." He said jokingly. (Tiz getting late, I gotta get going soon, might be able to fit in one last post if I'm lucky XP)
