Far off in the distance, easily about 2 kilometers away, the group of seven stood. As a single, well disciplined, well coordinated group knocked a single arrow back and aimed high into the sky. With an impressive feat of strength, the group simultaneously drew their bow's back to their shoulder, and the arrows were launched at an amazingly fast speed, granting the arrows excessive distance verses any average bow user. Obviously, these ninja were no chumps.
During their arrows silent traveling arc to above the Suna ninja, the group of seven performed simultaneous hand seals. In plums of smoke, the single arrow would transform into 100 arrows, making for a now cluster of 700 arrows! The arrows would actually go tip up, and the shaft itself would open up to reveal an umbrella style arrow that would then to sprinkle needles down to the suna ninja below. The needles were dense and powerful enough to block out the Hot Suna sun. This was not just an attack: this was an assassination squad.
The wide spreadness of the needles would assure that each ninja was in danger from the countless needles would would seek out their targets. Where the hell was this attack even coming from!!!!

Knives noticed it suddenly get dark, but that was a pretty obvious thing since this was the dessert of Suna after all. "Oh balls." He swore looking up at the black cloud suddenly appearing in the air. "Everyone cover!!"
"NO! I SHUKAKU WILL NOT DIE THIS DAY!!
'Oh well nice of you to join us Shukaku.' Knives thought as he was enveloped in Sand, growing real tired of cowards attacking from afar rather than be up close to their enemy.
(Now excuse me while I turn into Sonic the Hedgehog and dash to go pound my opponents into the ground)

James was paying good attention, and it was easy enough to spot the figures on the horizon, the slightest look of a bow in there hands, they where to far away for his biosense to really give him info, but people didn't just ******** around in the desert.
When the giant wave of needles made its way through the air, James looked up and clicked his tongue on the back of his teeth.
"That's cute, they think they know about needle techniques."
James raised his palms, and let out two mach one blast of wind, scattering a large amount of the needles back and away from him and the other shinobi. James would make sure to cover himself and Ayame for sure, and let out a third blast to cover Kamiya.
James kept his steady stride. "Spread out kids and get to work, support each other and watch each others backs. Combine your techniques."
James kept walking, reading his opponents, and readying himself. Someone had picked the wrong group of Shinobi to ambush.

Kamiya was so sick and tired of people. "(insert copious amounts of insults to the baddies)" Kamiya had had enough. as soon as James had blown the needles away Kamiya knew he had to help somehow but unless he knew where the baddies were or was actually able to do something about the attacks. as it was however he was unable to do any defencive actions right now.

The quick actions of James would insure the safety of the other traveling members, destroying many of the the needles but due to there sheer number, merely bouncing several back into the air. Ken, in his shield, would be perfectly defended against the onslaught of the needles. A perfect layer of them would be sticking out of his sand layer. Due to the sheer size and number of the needles, each successive layer would drive ones already in the sand deeper and deeper, until he would notice and see the a few tips sticking through his shield. Sheesh that was close! But they were not free yet not by a long shot.
Un-contested, possibly due to the distance and ambush, the attacking foes conversed amongst themselves. quickly as they performed their seperate actions. heir conversation was fast, like they some how new each others responses

Thee of the ninja formed a set of hand seals, utilizing their chakra to grip 100 needles each (so 300 needles) and control them, sending the ones that James had redirected back towards the team of ninja, making a dome style attack to pin down the defending ninja.
the other 4, drew their bows back with 4 arrows a piece this time, making a similar bombardment to the last attack. This one however, the arrows didnt multiply. Instead, they would seek to land in, or even around the Suna ninja cluster. Explosion tags on the arrows would detonate on impact, sending even more shrapnel, dust and debree everywhere.

Seeing needles get through the shield the first time Knives knew that they had to move. Rule one was always move. "James we can't stay here! You know that as well as I! We have to get moving, NOW! We're sitting ducks out here if these cowards won't come to us we have to take the fight to them! Also, James, they must not know who we are!" he chuckled
Doing some really really quick math and with some help with the Shukaku Knives figured a rough estimate of where they were. "We're gonna have to move fast! We've got roughly a mile or so to go and if they're doing that!" He shouted pointing out the second set of needles coming towards them. "We seriously are in trouble, we have to move now! Kamiya follow me if you can keep up!" he called pulling up another sand shield thanks to the Shukaku. His hands already beginning to move knowing that this was going to be the fastest way to move as he flickered to where he figured the location of his enemies was.
