Today was a school day and school was FUN. Why was school fun? Well, obviously because school made you learn things and make new friends and Granma was there and.... He didn't have to watch stupid cowboy movies. Now, Quentin would never admit to it, but after more than a year of always seeing cowboys on TV, he was getting pretty fed up with them. Sure thing, he wouldn't be watching any of those movies once he too was a grown up and had his own TV. No, he would watch other grown up shows like... like... Well, he didn't know since all that ever was on TV were cowboys, stupid yellow sponges or those men who all loved each other a little too much that Daddy always said they shouldn't be watching... not that he cared anyway. Those show really were boring. They would just spend like five minutes talking about something important and then spend the next twenty showing how they loved each other. Quentin really had no idea why anyone in their right mind would find that interesting at all.
...But enough talk about TV. Today was not a TV day; it was a School Day! Oh, he couldn't wait to learn many new thigns. He had already learned to read during the summer all by himself! Well, some words, like dought still didn't make any sense to him, so perhaps, they would learn what those words were today? Or maybe they would learn how birds could fly? He would love to fly and it wasn't fun that he hadn't figure out how to do it yet, but all in due times! One day, he would be a flying and talking about dought!

So the day had come? The day that all active boys feared as summer drew to an end. School... A nemesis that even some as great as a King (June) could not tolerates. But how could you blame him? It was a place where you were trapped in a room all day and talked at by some idiot adult who thought they we're better than you. And no one was better than June. And even though he wanted to skip more than anything, with Ray in class with him, he wouldn't be able to leave. Heck, with Ray with him, he even had to show up early. And as he thought that while standing outside the door of the classroom he smacked his little brother in the back of the head. It was his brothers fault he was here, so June made sure to punish him. And with that he entered the classroom. No one here really. Just another little kid and... Her. There was no way he was talking to her. Careful to avoid any eye contact, the blonde boy walked into the class and headed towards the back, so he could wait for the day to be over.
The younger King brother had different thoughts about today. School was anything but bad! Ray had gotten up extra early to get ready. His mother even praised him! That's not why he did it though. Ray was just that excited to show up. Plus, he got to be in the same class as June. Being close to his brother made the boy even more excited then normal. He bounced on his toes while he waited at the door when June stopped outside of it. He stopped when he was smacked. His brother always hit him. It was just something Ray had gotten used to. It wasn't something someone should have to get used to. However, it was normal for the boy, and didn't bother him in the slightest. It might have if he knew June's thoughts behind hitting him. Though, for the young white haired boy, it seemed nothing more than a sign of affection. That's why he was able to keep his good mood as he entered the room. School was going to be great!

-Rune Vatonage & Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-
School! Rune had been looking forward to this day actually! She had gotten up easily and once she was dressed in her uniform and her pigtails neatly done, she was at the door bouncing around that they had to get to school. Ellie found it cute, and so did Yoakim probably but neither of them was ready for that much hyper in the morning... not from her anyways. She was brought over by Ellie, almost kicking her mother out as she zoomed into the place with a big smile. Normally there weren't many kids her age but... maybe this year would be different. Maybe she'd-Hey! Rune's smile managed to widen even more at a familiar face, or white hair. "Ray!" said the girl happily once she was near him. They hadn't seen each other in a while, but she was happy to see someone else here. Even if they did meet only once, kids bonded quickly, and Rune remembered the kids she met. Adults were sometimes forgotten, but hey no one was perfect.
While most kids were excited or dreading the entry to school... Eet didn't know what it was doing here. The kid had stared at the door for a good time before Conor kind of kicked it inside. Kind of, because he had just started walking and Eet was in the way. Nothing new for Eet, not even it's clothes. Unlike it's cousin who was pristine and pretty, Eet was in that classic blanket that was kinda brown by now... at least the bottom part anyways... The child glanced around, slightly confused at what was going on before following Quentin for a while, until he wandered on his own and left it with John... who was looking at everything and stayed behind. After a couple of steps Eet reached the end of the room and huddled itself in the corner. It was comfy like the one back home! Like Eet's corner! Of course whoever was up front or spotted Eet would probably freak out at the brown eyes staring at them...

School. Junior dreaded this each and every day that he had to step out of his home, shrug on his backpack, and leave to the small schoolhouse where he knew no one, not even himself, wanted him to be. His dad and aunt would probably be happy as long as he was outside, so school probably wasn't something they cared about. After all, Junior already knew from Jacob that both of his 'parental figures' had dropped out before even finishing, with Jacob just barely passing so he could hang around his friends. All in all, the only person who seemed to hold any importance to school in Junior's life was Gladice and she.. well, Junior wasn't sure what she was to him. She wasn't related to him and he didn't really do much but watch television when he was over.. He wasn't even sure she remembered he was there at times. But, that was what happened when it came to Junior. People forgot he was there. Which was why him even bothering to ditch school or act out or any of the things that crossed his mind seemed pointless when no one would even notice he was doing it.
He frowned as he approached the schoolhouse, pausing in the hallway to look to the classroom that all the younger kids were headed into. He sighed before heading back towards his classroom. He missed being in Ms. Rhodes' classroom, really. Even if he was largely ignored, he at least had something to do. Inside Mr. Koyama's classroom – the same room he had walked into – it tended to be just him and the teacher. Mr. Koyama was nice, but he was just as quiet as him! It was just plain old schoolwork all day long before he was let out to walk back home alone. Oh, well, at least he managed to get all his work done in the classroom before he had to go home and no one thought he was a nerd when it was just him. ..Well. No one if he didn't include himself. He shook his head and shuffled his way towards his desk, sitting down and spending the rest of his time staring at Yuuto in wonder if that was what he would end up being years from now.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Another day, another day.. But, today, Ed had found some sort of difference. He had left Vi home alone, but he didn't have much fear for her when she was with his dad – after all. His mother trusted him to take care of Ed when he was little, right? ..Or.. he thought so.. He didn't have much of an idea of what it was like when he was little, but his studies of Vi had all been done in hopes that he would come to learn about it. Still, it was confusing and he didn't get any of it any more than he had a few days ago. But, he wouldn't stop trying. This was just a recess from that because he was going to learn today. Ed loved to know things and, of course, then tell all the things he knew to everyone else. Which was normally Vi because dad didn't like hearing him talk very much – but that was okay. Vi would just be very smart when she grew up! The boy nodded slightly to himself as he walked through the double-doors of the school, standing in the middle of the hall to watch the other students quietly.
Ed's hands went to tug somewhat on the straps of a rather plain looking backpack as he waited because, for once, his dad hadn't told him to get something more normal looking. A plain blue backpack was normal enough, Ed had guessed, which fit just fine with him, though the bright red racing car t-shirt wasn't something he liked at all. Still, he held his tongue and simply watched for a child his age to walk by, turn left, and walk into one of the few rooms of the building. It was as good a room as any to start in, so he followed the child into the classroom to stand quietly beside the door in watch. Someone was bound to do something that looked right to him, then he could mimic without having to ask anyone!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
While Ed was rather adverse to asking questions, John was full of nothing but questions! His soft blue eyes were wide with wonder as he stared every way and more around the classroom – which wasn't anything new. John acted like this no matter where they went, so long as it was someplace he didn't remember going into before. His hand was on Quentin's shoulder because of that was the only person he knew and he really didn't want to get lost! It was Eet's job to get lost and he didn't know how mad dad would be if he tried to take Eet's job away from it! But, boy, the room was big! With so many kids too! He spoke loudly as he squished himself closer to Quentin, pointing at Rune, “I know her! Quin, Quin, I know her! She's, uh.. She's our cousin.” He nodded and smiled as if it was something Quentin couldn't figure out on his own, before his attention went to everything else as his words illustrated.
“Where's the teacher, Quin? Is it a kid? Oh, what if the teacher's a cowboy? What's that? It's black.. and it's a board – what is it? Is it a window? Why can't we see out of it? Can we? Is it dark outside? But, it was light when we were outside – oh, Quin, Quin, are those desks? Can we have a desk? I want one of the desks – I'll go get a desk.” Thankfully, John's excited questions which always came with a shake to the other were put to a halt as he let go of the boy and walked off to find a desk for himself. It wasn't often that John found himself talking too much because he didn't often have anything to say! But with all the kids walking around and knowing that he was going to school like a big boy and like how Spongebob went to school.. He was pretty eager to get started! He wanted to learn how to drive a boat too!

A.N.G.E.L.I.N.A. - - - -Held in the eager grasp of Angelina, there was an oversized, uncomfortably heavy, gold plated lunch box and, on his back, a cutesy backpack decorated with various sugary sweet candy images. It's contents of assorted gourmet foods, flecked with gold flakes, an idea that his fader regrettably learned from some ancient dead guy and his horse, were really of great disinterest to Angelina. His plan was simple; dump the food, and get some school food. Simple, easy, school food. Angelina liked simple - the only strong, sweet, melty flavor he needed was chocolate! If every meal could be made of chocolate, it would be so! Could he wear chocolate? He looked down at his dress, then his hands, that had melted chocolate still prominent in areas he thought too difficult to clean anyways. Would be messy, but worth it! As his thoughts of chocolate drifted about his simple thinking mind, his feet took him to his class's doorway without realizing it as he stared at his palm. When his curious eyes glanced up, he gave a startled 'oh' and then a surprised grin of joy. Kids, not locked up or held prisoner – or kidnapped! Lifting his lunch box in greeting to the small class, he spoke confidently to the peers without so much a glimmer judgement as he had no idea what it could possibly mean past judging whether a chocolate tasted good or not. "Hello!" There was no teacher lady, so he just had to pick a seat to – oh. It didn't take his eyes long to focus on what was the prettiest sight, next to chocolate, he ever saw. A girl – or really a girl he knew! She was familiar... Very familiar.. She was – oh, snot bubble girl!Grinning in joy to a familiar face, and such a pretty one at that, he thought it a perfectly fine idea to greet her, but just to be careful she didn't touch him. Though, such a pretty girl couldn't be a skosgra, no way, no how. His hands tightened on the little metal handle in enthusiasm, and he walked forward, true to his path towards the little white haired girl he had once known as Rune, but all too fast forgotten her name. Since all the times he knew of her it was just her face and games. Closer – almost there, he could hear her now and – suddenly his feet swerved from his path almost involuntarily and he found himself heading for the back of the class towards a seat lacking of students. His hands were kind of sweaty and he felt like he just ate too much candy, he wanted to sit. Setting the box down, and his backpack, he sat questioning what just happened.

Gemma Rhodes In any other situation, one would think that this teacher was just a little off her rocker, but most oher students who had been there the year before, as her own, would know that Gemma was a little scatterbrained. As she stumbled her way into the classroom, just a little irritated by having seen Judith earlier when she had reported in for duty, to see all these wild, energetic children. Once her feet had finally dragged her to the foot of her desk, she unceremoniously dropped everything she was holding onto the desk. There was a brief moment where she simply closed her eyes and breathed, calming herself. And then, like a light switched on, she was the most perfect embodiment of a stepford smiler. Brown, of course. Gemma was always brown.
"Good morning, students~" she sang, moving around the desk to stand in front of it. She clapped her hands, trying to further grab their attention, and smiled. "Ok, all of you, sit down wherever you like~" She waited until all of them were seated, it really didn't matter where. "Ok, first of all, there are some new faces I have seen before among us~!" she tilted her upper body, not exactly looking at anyone in particular; but more looking at all of them and remembering the ones she could remember! But first of all, "But, you know what? Instead of going straight to the introductions, that nobody likes, I'm going to have you all do an exercise. A different, fun exercise, hmm? How would you guys like that?" she asked after standing up straight, that creepy teacher smile that didn't go away still plastered on her face. It wasn't that she stayed brimming all her teeth, mind you, more that she had set her face to look as sunny as possible. She wasn't the nice, playful teacher for nothing!
"Okay, first rule, the students who are above the 5th grade will move to this side." she instructed, pointing to one side of the classroom. She didn't expect there to be many for that side, but she had to point it out, nonetheless. "And the smaller ones can move to the other side, please? Once you're all accomodated, I'll give further instructions." Again, another smile. "Well? Go on." she verbally nudged, cue hand movement to emphasize her point. As they all scrambled, because the author really feels no desire to wait three rounds of everybody posting for just the instructions, Gemma moved toward the blackboard behind her desk and started writing down something: her name, in a fine, loopy lettering. Ms. Rhodes.

It was at time like these that Quentin started to worry that his adoptvie brother was severly touched. Touched by what? How? He wasn't quite sure, but judging by the way John was acting, there was something touching him and it wasn't with good intentions. Yet, Quentin, in his usual I-am-curious-yet-I-don't-care, attitude, simply stared at John blankly for all of the boy's soliloquy, then stared some more when he was gone, to finally simply shake his head a little and returned to his book. With an attitude like this, you would belive that this was John's first day at school, but no mater how often Quentin would answer him all of his questions, he would soon forget the answer and ask them all again the next them. Yes, John was touched, but Quentin didn't care enough for that, especially now that their teachers was in the room!
Ohhh... she was so tall! Probably the tallest woman he knew! Of course, it wasn't hard when the women he was around the most was his aunt, Alanis, and his his grandmother, Gladice... Then again, there also was his Aunt Ellie, but he didn't see her nearly enough to remember her exact size and if she was taller than Ma'am Rhode or not. He sat himself straighter in his chair, taking mentally note of what the theacher was saying, making sure to not miss a single words! he could miss some very important information and then... IT WOULD BE THE END OF THE WORLD. Or so said Grandma Judith that one day he had seen her, so he made sure to listen to what Ma'am Rhode had to say... Oh, now that he thought of it, Grandma Judith was taller than Gemma.. Yes, Gemma not being the talest woman in Quentin's life had just coast her a little bit of respect from the boy. From now on, she'd just be old plain Gemma in his head and now Ma'am Rhodes anymore.
He stood up from his desk and made his way to the side of the room that the teacher had told the students of his age. He wonder who else would be sent there with him. Obviously there would be John and he was pretty sure that his cousin, Rune, would be there too... and that white haired boy who had sat not that far from him seemed to be his age too. Yes, the four of them would probably be part of the same team. As for Eet... was Eet considered a Student?

Already somewhat cozy in his seat, as much as he could knowing he was at school at least, June sat and watched other students enter the classroom. It was one of the reasons he liked the back of the room. He would be able to see anything and everything that happened in the room. Though the class seemed a bit strange. The boy didn't know anyone besides Yuri and Ray (obviously), so seeing the newcomers(to him) walk in was kinda fun. First was a small girl with white hair, who he had mistaken to be Ray for a split second, until she ran over to his brother's side. Then there was some... Kid who scurried over into a corner by June. Weird. And then two other boys, one who knew the first boy who was loud, and the other one looked rather timid. Then lastly a girl, dressed in pretty fancy clothes. She was headed towards his brother and the white hair girl, but then switched courses to the back of the room. The back of the room not consisted of two weird people, and June of course. He was starting to get a little fidgety. Maybe it was because of the kid in corner, or the fact that watching his brother talk to a friend pissed him off. Whatever it was, he wasn't happy.
And that would have normally changed with the arrival of the teacher. Usually that would have meant the arrival of a new target for June. However, this lady was tall. Too tall. That angered the boy quite a bit. Her personality seemed to counteract that though. She didn't seem boring like other teachers. Though he wasn't going to like her just based on that. She could be even worse than other teachers, he didn't know. So he decided to keep an eye out for her. Especially since she already assigned them something to do. How tedious... And on his first day to. June didn't feel like complaining though. Not yet at least. So when she instructed them to split up, he obeyed. Although he regretted it as soon as he realized he was in a team of three, and one of the people was the goody two-shoes that had been bothering him all summer.
Normally someone as quiet as Ray would have to worry about not being able to make friends. Though it seemed the white hair boy didn't have such a problem as he was approached by a girl he had met just earlier this summer. He remembered cause that piece that he dropped into the water had stuck in his mind for quite a bit afterwards. Whatever the case, seeing the girl put a smile on his face... Or it would have, if he could smile. Physically, yeah he could, but that expression never seem to show on his face when he was actually happy. Instead he looked at the girl with his blank look and waved with one of his small hands. And he would have tried to talk, if not for the older girl who tried to come up to the two. Even though she didn't actually approach them, it still distracted Ray so that he didn't have time to chat with Rune before the teacher walked in. Which when Gemma did, Ray took a seat in the front of the classroom. The best spot in which to hear the teacher.
Sitting didn't last long though. Almost immediately after he did sit, they were instructed to move. A team project it seemed. Ray didn't really like teams. He was a lone worker type. So being with a bunch of other kids was out of the boy's comfort zone. He was never one to disobey an order from an adult though. So he got up and hurried over to the opposite side of the room as his brother. He could tell his brother was a bit excited. For June, teams meant a chance to win. Although academically, even for the 4 years younger Ray, the younger brother had a way better chance of doing better than the older. The white hair boy seemed more interested in learning than competing though. Which is why his eyes focused on the teacher rather tha the kids that were now with him in his group.

Yuri had taken a seat at the back of the classroom, as she always did. She hated being within the teacher's range of attention, and so she always tried to distance herself as much as possible. Others would probably argue that the best place to sit would be in the front, since most competent teachers focused on the back sections, but if she felt like she was anonymous, that was good enough for her. She glanced up as a flash of white caught her attention, spotting June right away. She debated greeting him, but decided that she shouldn't be clingy, as to avoid bothering him, and so she stayed quietly where she was, though she looked over the other children who were joining them. None of them looked like the kind of people she'd hang out with, but she had long since learned not to be discouraged by appearances.
This was by far the smallest school she had ever been in, and as she assessed her classmates, she was struck by the realization that she was easily the oldest one in there. Not only did she tower over her classmates, but she seemed to be the only one obviously bothered to be in the same class as a bunch of six and seven year olds. In her old town, she would be starting middle school, but it looked like anyone older than herself was in the other classroom, the notably quieter -- and emptier -- one.
She didn't get much of a chance to mourn her seemingly dead social life, because the teacher came in shortly after. Yuri liked Gemma, from the short amount they had known of each other, more than most of the teachers she had had before. She was nice, and kind of strange. It was refreshing. And so when the woman announced that they were doing a team activity, Yuri's heart leaped. This was a chance to make friends! She was excited, until the teacher continued. They were separating by grades. June was in the fifth grade, wasn't he? It looked like they were going to be grouped together again. Slowly, she rose from her seat and moved over to stand next to June, offering him a small smile. "Looks like we're going to be together again," she greeted him politely. Silently, she was hoping that it wasn't going to just be the two of them. She still didn't know her classmates well enough to know.

Morgan was fashionably late for school, but it did take quite some time to find the right size of cardboard box to hide in. It also took that much more time for him to find scissors that his mother wouldn't snatch away. On top of all of that time, he had to measure the length the holes needed to be so he could fit his legs in. Then he had to fight with this box because he hadn't factored in the size with jeans on. He finally got himself into the box and then had to get back out and cut a rectangle shape for his eyes. He then snuck into his dad's secret room and grabbed the super special spy paper to put over it. This way he could see out, but no one could see in. There was no way that he was going to school if people could see him. He then worked to get the box back on and dropped a couple times as his mother walked by so she wouldn't figure out his plan and scold him for being the "most childish scaredy-cat" she had ever seen. He waddled down the steps and continued to pull his legs up into a fetal position quickly if he heard or saw anyone. He was just a normal old cardboard box, nothing to look at here.
The hiding every few seconds left him a lot later than he could have possibly imagined. At one point, he even saw a large bush covered in some kind of flower. He screamed and ran across the street which led to a longer detour out of the way. He eventually could see the school up ahead and was overjoyed by this fact. It wasn't that he liked school, in fact, he dreaded school. But, the walk here had been all the worse than it would be to curl up into his box while inside. Bugs and other outside things couldn't reach him inside the school, after all. The steps were a lot more difficult than he imagined they would be. He was glad that he was late because he knew how silly he had to look crawling up the steps and didn't need kids making more fun of him. Hopefully someone else would bring a box to school, that would make this all a little more easy. He realized once at the top of the stairs that he did not have hands in this box. He leaned back into an awkward position and lifted his foot to try and grab the handle and pull it. He tried to no avail three times and then just decided to curl up into the fetal position in the box and wait for someone to walk by.
Lucky for Morgan, another little student was late. Beatrice was running down the street, her backpack bouncing on her back and her lunchbox swinging back and forth in her hand. No one had bothered to wake her up and for the first time in awhile, both babies were asleep. She continued running along her way and ran up the stairs. She stopped and looked at the little box sitting in front of the door and knocked on the top of it. She had been here for quite some time and it just didn't seem like it was normal for a box to be sitting there. "Helloooooo?" She knocked again and crouched down beside it.
Morgan stiffened up at the sound of feet walking up the stairs and even more when there was knocking on his special fort. No one should be able to tell that he was in here, it was a foolproof plan. "Ermmm, no one here." He mumbled out to her, hoping that she'd believe him. It never even crossed his mind that there had to be someone to do the talking. He just kind of sat in there, holding his knees up to his chest for dear life. He needed inside where there were adults to protect him from the people. Hopefully they weren't scary stranger adults, that was the worst kind. He'd rather die then deal with them. Maybe that's what this would amount to. He'd die, rot right here on these steps.
Beatrice tilted her head at the sound coming out and pulled open the door. "Okay, no one. You can go inside now." She stood beside the open door waiting for them to slide on in. She really didn't want to be anymore late. This was her last year with Miss Gemma, after all. She needed to get inside, so she walked over to the box and shoved it in the door. "There ya go." She patted the top of the box once they were both inside and started running past it and down the hall. Beatrice entered into the room and walked over to where Yuri was standing, she knew they were in the same grade even though she had no idea what else was going on. She held onto her lunch tight and waited to figure out what she had missed.
Morgan was so terrified that he was practically in tears on the floor of the hallway. He didn't understand why the girl had taken such force and pushed him inside. He would never think that it was a good idea to push someone like that. It was way into there comfort zone and he just wouldn't break that barrier. So, it took him a few more minutes to regain composure and start down the hall. He could hear a few people, so he figured that was where he was supposed to be. He sat outside of the door for a minute and then entered after he was sure it was where he was supposed to be. He had a bit of a difficult time getting in since he was scurrying on tip toes, attempting to not show his legs. He sat on the inside of the door, completely unsure of where he needed to scoot. But, then he spotted a boy he had met at a festival and knew that they were close to the same age. So, he made his way slowly over there and pulled his legs back up into the box and held them tight. School was sooo terrifying. He honestly wished he could have sat on the sidewalk forever. (OOC Morgan Team B Beatrice Team A)

-Rune Vatonage & Eet Alvey-LeBlanc-
Oh the teacher was here! This brought a smile to the girl's face. Well another one... Everything about school made Rune ecstatic. Surely she wouldn't be a brain when she was older, but she would appreciate knowing things! For know, she'd be sitting in front of the class for the seconds she had been before the teacher called them into teams. They hadn't done a group thing before... not that she remembered anyways. "What are we doing?" asked the girl, just a bit impatient. Just a bit. Now that she was in her team, Rune wanted to know what they were going to do. She was already happy being with Ray and... her cousins, yup her cousins. So... now what? Surely the clumsy yet adored teacher had plans for this. But the little girl for the life of her and her little braids could not figure out.
Eet stayed right in it's place at this. Well that was a lie, it shifted just a bit from it's position to move to where Team B was. Just a bit, but otherwise the child would be at it's corner staring at everyone. It wasn't Eet's fault! This was probably the constant name calling of it being a cow... Still Miss Rhodes was looking at the sheet with a head quite intently, so Eet moved two more steps! But that was about it really... Now Eet pondered where so many kids came from... They were, actually cute. But they had to be heavy... and knowing it's luck, Eet would end up carrying them... and Eet didn't want that. Maybe there was another pumpkin laying around for it to eat. Or... the dreaded paste that would be what Eet would be doing in school for future years. Right now though, from the spot Eet was at, it moved to a bookcase, searching for the paste pumpkin. It had to be there somewhere... Oh pencil~ Did it taste good? Only one way to find out... If anyone cared, Eet would munching on the pencil. A yummy wood flavored one.

A.N.G.E.L.I.N.A. - - - -Angelina sat with his head stewing in a muck of confusion as he thought about how sick his tummy felt, his back stiff against his chair and fingers curling into his dress, not even caring he was wrinkling the pretty cloth. Swallowing, a part of him felt slightly.. smaller. Glancing up at the lady who walked in, he gave a reassured smile to the distraction. He really ate some bad chocolate... Which was unusual cause chocolate only did that to him once when he saved some candy for a long, long time before eating it. Wasn't this candy new? Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out some messily wrapped chocolate that had been very obviously nibbled at and poorly wrapped again. Slyly, or really just letting it fall from his hand as he attempted to whistle casually to himself, ( since he didn't know how to whistle yet ) the candy dropped onto the floor and he gave a small kick to push it underneath another kids desk. Wasn't his candy anymore~ No more tummy aches for him. Smiling, a more Angelina happy smile, he returned his attention back to the teacher who.. just got done talking. Having just barely to make out the last of her directions before watching the students begin to sort themselves out, Angelina gave way to a few panicked glances to his left and right. What's going on? Oh no, they're all organizing! Why wasn't he? Oh gosh, he's the only one left. Em – uh..
Jumping to his feet, he bolted to the most populated side, his best guess was to hide in a crowd of – pretty white hair, big chocolatey, sweet colored eyes, cute fa – Rune!! He realized in terror as he had started to bolt at the small girl unwittingly, almost meeting an impact with her, before coming to a stumbled immediate halt with a pitched scream of panic. Did he just scream? No, of course he didn't - or was that okay for girls? Okay, maybe he did scream. But, just to be safe, before anyone could realize what happened, or in his head pretend she din't notice, he very hurriedly ran to the opposite side to where the older kids were. At least he could hide in the shelter of their larger shadows with his shame. He was never so awkward around kids! He was always friendly and confident and – sniffling at the burning embarrassment on his cheeks, he concluded he wasn't liking school so far. Standing with sagging shoulders and averted eyes to the teacher with an intent to never look at anything else, he pretended nothing happened at all and he was entirely okay – yeah.. Okay. Anyone above fifth grade..? Ed had perked up and stared intently at the teacher as soon as she entered the room and commanded their attention with her teacher authority! But, that soon faltered as she informed them of their instructions. What grade was Ed in? He didn't know! Everyone was all in one classroom and he was never told if he had a grade or not – he didn't even know if he was in the right classroom, outside of the fact that there was a good handful of kids that were his height! He didn't like not knowing things and it had him frowning at the woman. She should have told him – she was the teacher. But, yelling never did anything good, so he looked back at the other kids to watch them move. They all seemed to know what they were doing. He didn't like that either – it made him different and he knew his dad didn't like him being different. So, he walked back and forth as if he did know like everyone else until he saw Rune. He remembered her very well, considering she was the only child outside of Vi that he had interacted with yet. Rune wasn't smarter than Ed, but dad had taught her the same things he taught Ed, so she wasn't stupider than him either. If they were both the same, then wouldn't that mean they were in the same grade too? It made sense to Ed and, so, he walked over to stand next to the girl, quiet as a mouse and staring over at the teacher for further instructions.

“Oh, oh, oh!” John had raised his hand eagerly, his eyes a glimmer as he run up to the teacher after she finished talking, pausing infront of her to jump up and down so she saw him. “I know where to go! I'm in first grade, Ms. Rodeo, and I'm gonna be in team....” He stopped, looked back at the kids, then back at the teacher – which.. which team was he in again? “Uhhh...” He sounded as he thought, just so the woman knew he was still speaking and wasn't finished yet. Anyone below five was.. three.. four.. two.. Wait, but, John was five years old, he wasn't below five! He was five! Which meant he got his own team, because he wasn't a smaller one and he wasn't above five either! “I'm Team COWBOY.” He announced with a firm nod at that, his arms spread as he turned to walk back over to the center of the classroom and stand there. For three seconds before he realized there was a box. Not wanting anyone else to get the box before him, he hurried on over and jumped ontop as if he was riding Eet rather than a square box that could hardly hold his weight. But, thankfully, something inside stopped him from collapsing it to the ground! Proof that it was the right horse for Team Cowboy!
