You are also right, Gro. When Leaders aren't training, and someone's all day training, eventually they will be replaced. Hence I was considering increasing how long it take to actually gain higher ranks in it.

Tonight is the night we become great!The Stars will show us the way! I dunno... Maybe just simplify the stats, as well? Letter ranks there, so that s**t is still defined, however the training wouldn't be enough for them to pass up the leaders right away. Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

I agree Lanny. Here's how I think of it:
If say someone was an S-rank person, people of his rank and the rank below can move just fine fighting against him, it's the people 2 ranks and under who won't be able to move under his spiritual energy.
Example: Aizen>Grimmjow (Grimmjow was forced onto his knees)

Quote: Reiatsu - This is your Reiatsu level, your Spirit Pressure. This is highly important, for when someone of 3,000 or more Reiatsu Points than you do releases their spirit pressure, it becomes a physical pressure on your body. To increase points in this, one must use spiritually based techniques and/or meditate. Either way, one must write 1000 words of training for each rank they are (E=1, D=2, C=3, B=4, A=5, S=6, SS= cool to obtain one point of Reiatsu. As for Reiatsu. D-ranked humans start with 1000 points. For distribution, each point you put into your reiatsu increases your reiatsu stat by, say....25. This means people can be HUGE in reiatsu. That's how I was doing Reiatsu levels. The use of the system was also going to be used to determine how someone Ranked up, after reaching a certain number of points. Exactly, Gro.

Mana. In Naruto: WotS they had a nifty system for that. Like
Str ==> Def ==> Sta ==> Spd ==> Reiatsu ==>
Okay. So, those are the stats. Now here are how much a letter cost:
E = 1 D = 2 C = 3 B = 4 A = 5 S = 6 SS = 8
How this worked was that each rank was given a number of points. With those points, they had to buy the stat. So, for instance:
Str ==> SS
This would take the points for each letter. E = 1, D = 2, etc. So to buy an SS-rank for STR you'd need 29 points.
That's just an example.

Tonight is the night we become great!The Stars will show us the way! I'm just saying... If we're having an issue with the idea of leaders being replaced, I'd have to say go with a more generalized stat system, however I still say we have to have something which deems more than just...
"My power is stronger than yours. Quit moving." What happens pre-release? Does someone go running circles around Kane, avoiding most strike? I'm in favor of keeping the system, even if simplified further.
And on that note... I have to go sleep. xD Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

Mana: Well Haku suggested that pre-release and Shikai, Kane is not at full power as is the other leaders of the races. So if a regular Captain fought Kane, he could match him blow for blow (if he was fast enough) and even hurt Kane. It's after Bankai that Kane can turn the tables.

*nods* each person, in their stats, will have to write down what their stats are at for each release. That's the only way I can see it.
What would be a simpler model, thougH>

The pie graph thing in the Bleach databooks, except:
The normal graph is for pre-release.
If you have Bankai (or similar release) each stat can have a max of 500 for a total of 3000 max.
Perfect Bankai (Or similar) would allow you to have a max of 1000 in each stat so that a maxxed out character would have 6000 points.
Would you like an example?

Stats as So-taicho, Pre-release
Strength: 70
Defense: 80
Mobility: 100
Intellect: 90
Kido: 100
Reitsu: 100
Total: 540
Bankai:
Reitsu: 500
Strength: 450
Defense: 450
Mobility: 500
Intellect: 500
Kido: 500
Total: 2900
Stats, Perfect Bankai
Reitsu: 1000
Strength: 900
Defense: 900
Mobility: 1000
Intellect: 1000
Kido: 1000
Total: 5800
Now Intellect doesn't mean book smarts or street smarts as it means perception, how observant you are to your surroundings. A mentally retarded person would not have a high Intellect stat.

I'd take out Mobility and Intellect, though.
How would you rank them up, however? I like how that works, but we need someone to explain how to rank it up. My idea is that we use the stats to decide rank, but for your chart I'm unsure how we'd do that.
Or do you think we should rank up in some other way?

I wouldn't, mobility is just as important as strength, as is intellect.
I really don't know how to rank up though, and personally I don't see how to go about doing that.
So my alternative idea is to forgo any kind of stat system.
