u_u Ugh. Having him be so freakin' quiet was even worse than him asking. It was like having someone mad at you and not knowing why, then they refusing to talk to them- it was that sort of unnerving frustration. If anyone would understand it would be him. But... he wasn't...
"Is... there somewhere nearby I can sleep? Just to regain my strength? I have something to clean up as soon as I can get home... so it'd really only be for a short while."
I bet he'd make an interesting target. She shook her head at the incubus's comment and Aly at the same time. No, no, she shouldn't stay here. If that last man had found her at her home, who knows who could find her here? Even if he was an a**, he didn't deserve to be attacked at night...
"Nevermind, you're probably sick of me as it is." Ugh. Freakin' ninja assassin bullshit.

Alosha ws taken aback by her sudden changes of mood.
"It's up to you, you can stay here if you want, there's plenty of room within the centre, a few guest rooms down the other corridor which leads off from the main room. If you don't want to.. " He sighed a little, tilting his head to one side.
"If you go, at least let me know you're alright this time... after last time you just .. disappeared I didn't know whether you were ok, upset, angry.. " He was a little cold now and pulled one of the scattered towels over his shoulders, grasping it with his long pale fingers.
He was slightly worried. She seemed to be bothered by something but he didn't want to intrude. Her business was her own.

She stopped sighed and sat down across from him, sinking into one of his bean-bag chairs and staring at a point behind his head. It was easier to talk to a spot behind his head. "I was frustrated. Social situations, especially intimate ones between myself and another, tend to embolden me to say things I ought to keep to myself... not because it's uncouth, just that I get ahead of myself. Especially with men." She frowns. "No offense, I was just raised with sisters."
"I didn't figure you for such a caring sort.. and really, in this case it's better that way. I'm indebted to someone so... so it's probably for the best that I stay alone..." She looked like she was quietly musing to herself then as she bent her head down.
....
No wait, her breathing had changed. She had fallen asleep. sweatdrop

"Depends what you mean by caring" he murmered. Slowly he realised that she had fallen asleep. He sighed out loud at this strange woman who had invaded his life. "You are an odd one... never before.."
He muttered light curses which he didn't really mean as he spread a sheet out over the thick plush rug where he usually slept. He picked Sy up with ease and lay her down on top, covering her slightly haphazardly with a blanket. He'd had to take care of others before, usually he hadn't much cared about them though.
that done he had decided that it'd be best for his health if he *didn't* sleep in the same room. He picked up the still sleeping Keanu. Little thing must be a pretty sound sleeper, he thought.
He moved the food he had brought from the party down near to Sy, on the table, gathered up some paper and pencils, put out the lights and closed the door behind him. He'd have to find somewhere else to spend the night.

She woke a mere few hours later, her dreams dark and chilling, filled with blood and death. Startled, she looked around. Where was she? What time was it? Touching herself to make sure she was still a human and not a cat again she stared down at the blankets and clothes. That's right. She was... she was at Alyosha's. Sighing to herself she glanced around and saw he had left her food as well. Okay, so maybe he wasn't as much of an a*****e as he had led her to believe. Besides, didn't he take care of one of the Aerandir? What an odd father figure he must make. As she stood she carefully folded the blankets and put them to the side of the rug and stood, taking the cake in her hand and munching on it hungrily. She ought not to leave here without leaving something in return. He had gone well out of his way to lend her clothes and a place to sleep... for as much as she put him out, she owed him something. Muttering under her breath she disappeared a moment and then returned no more than five minutes later, in the kitchen, this time eating what appeared to be a juicy fruit that looked like a mango but was as crisp as an apple. Carefully she put a large back in his refridgerator, careful not to jar the contents. Inside was a bento, something she imagined a kitsune might like for lunch, and a small bowl of miso soup. Inside the bento was some sashimi, some shrimp tempura, steamed rice wrapped in seaweed, and winter squash with asparagus. A note was then left on the table that had significantly less food. Syrenrei Alyosha, I know to ask you to write would be silly, for I know you won't. I have left in good spirits, so try not to worry, I just have things to tend to at home. To repay your kindness I left you a bento in your refridgerator- I bought it since I cannot cook and I didn't want to use your kitchen and food to bake anything. I will try to return when I can, if for no other reason than to return your clothes. Thank for not asking much of me. a** as you are at times, I think despite yourself you have a good heart. Syrenrei After signing her note she folded it once, weighed it down with his ink pad, and promptly left to go clean up the dead body that was decomposing on her bed at home.

Dragonfly had no problem with Syrenrei and Alyosha going off on their own. She rubbed Iniko's head lovingly, nuzzling into her cheek, before remembering the reason she had come to the center in the first place.
She pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket, scribbling a note quickly to Alyosha, setting it on one of the tables in the room. She smiled semi-satisfactorially, and headed for the door to head home. The Letter Dear Alyosha,
I was wondering if there was any information you could provide Iniko and I about delving deeper into the heritage of the Aerandir. Anything that you think may come in handy for Iniko's path -- but don't knock yourself out! Even just a few notes will help me out. I'm doing research myself on the way of the Shaman, and so far...
Well anyway, any information you could provide me with would be much oblidged. Thank you in advanced Aly!

Ieyasu wandered into the community centre, distractedly nudging the door closed behind him with one foot. He wasn't busy - he rarely was, although he suspected that could change in the future - and he was just heading over to see if anything interesting was going on here.
Stepping into the main room, a quick glance around told him that the circular area was once again empty. He moved over to a comfy looking chair that was accompanied by a little table. Setting down his bag, he pulled out the jar with the fluff in it and set it down on the table. He could keep an eye on it there.
With a soft thump, Ieyasu flopped down onto the chair. Idly, he glanced around himself. Plenty for a kid, or perhaps one of the gryphons, to play with here, anyway. Vaguely bored, he produced a small, crystalline ball from somewhere on his person. Leaning back against the chair, he began to toss the ball up into the air, catching it again as it came down. He then began to make the moves more complicated, rolling it for short distances along his lower arm before flicking it back up into the air again.

Fae hadn't gotten out too much this weekend; she was busy planning out a layout for her house. Deciding she'd walk to the Centre, she had passed many houses of none which seemed too active, or at least on the outside. With her satchel bouncing at her hip and Pueblo nestled in her arms, Fae approched the Centre doors. Slowly, she pushed them and easily they glided open.
Almost immediatly she spotted the white haired Ieyasu. "Hey," she called out gently, her voice always soft in greetings. She liked to approch people calmly in case they werent in a good mood. It seemed they were the only ones around so far.
Pueblo flapped her creamy-coffee colored wings, giving a soft flap sound and cooed. She gripped Fae's forearm with her front paws and swished her tail, beady eyes fixed on Ieyasu sharply.

As Fae entered the circular room, Ieyasu caught the little ball in one hand, glancing over abruptly in Fae's direction.
"Ah, so there are other people about. Hey." Lounging casually on the comfy chair, he grinned a little. The little gryphon was with her too, he saw.
"Sorry about running out on you like that the last time. Had things to see to."

Fae's eyes caught the bright ball Ieysau had caught. Curious, she wondered what it was but didn't say anything yet. She smiled politely. "Yeah, I bet everyone slept in too."
Pueblo cocked her head, her sharp eyes now staring at his hand. She cooed quietly in her throat and flapped her wings again, this time in Fae's face until she was released. Springing from her arms, her wings carried her body to a glide and landed at Ieysau's feet. She had seen this man before- he seemed so interested in her as she was interested in him. She pawed at his foot, then ran around behind his seat where his hand was. Quickly, her nimble beak reached up and nibbled on his fist.

Ieyasu grinned at the little gryphon as she nosed around his feet. Twisting as she ran around behind him, he reached to give her a gentle scratch with his other hand.
Turning, he looked back up at Fae. "Maybe. I was just passing time.. loitering's probably the word for it."

She appeared standing in the middle of the room, dripping wet. Tiny hints of icicles mad her hair stick together and hang straight without the slightest hint of life left in it. Her soaked clothes seemed not to be as frozen as her hair, although it chilled her to the bone and dripped to the floor, forming a puddle. A cut on her cheek from earlier and a huge gash in her thigh made blood trickle down her to the floor, and her other clothes had already set-in dark stains that were also obviously blood- but not hers. She had not a single wound on her chest, upper thighs, arms.
All she seemed aware of this centre is that it was warm, and safe. There were no assassins. She was safe. Ieyasu and Fae were in front of her, but her eyes didn't seem to notice them.

Fae nodded, then watched her gryphon run around him. "She's never this curious and open around people.." she blinked. "Maybe it's the thing you have in your hand?" She looked at him, hoping he would answer her question.
As Pueblo's fur smoothed over her back from the man's hand, her ears twitched and she looked up at him. "Peep?" She pawed at his fist.
Fae looked to the table where his artifacts were sitting. "Ohh, so these are your artifacts." She leaned in closer, trying to figure out what they were. A fox...perhaps, and maybe an eagrett? Then suddenly, a bright flash caused her to fall back in starttlement. "Woah! Ieysau! You're artifacts-" She pointed at the from the ground she was now sitting on.

He glanced at Fae for a moment, pausing before he replied. "It's nothing much. Just a ba-" Cutting off, he glanced sharply at the jar on the table next to him. His eyes widened slightly. "Hey - that means they're getting ready to combine. Alyosha told me." He grinned.
Then, a wounded, soaked and altogether miserable looking female appeared in the room. Talk about an entrance.. He stood up abruptly, staring over at her.
"Hey.. uhm.. you need a hand there..?" Just what do you say when somebody covered in blood just appears in front of you? Both of his hands were empty now. As he had risen, he had quickly slipped the ball away, out of sight.

She simply stared at him a moment. There was something different about him... almost like Alyosha, but somehow different. If the numbing pain hadn't been throbbing through her legs she might have walked towards him so as to reassure herself.
His hair was white too. Surely he was a hanyou or youkai. "I don't trust our kind to help each other," she replied emptily and carefully pulled out a chair, sitting down. He had seemed sincere enough, but it was too... perplexing to rationalize out who was worth trusting and who wasn't. Her head ached now as well.
