"Just friends, huh? Well you were acting more like Ichi's property than his friend! You accidentally fall into Ryumon over there, and from that look Ichi gave, its easy to see that got him a bit pissed. He tells you he didn't like that, and you say you'll be more careful next time? Your sitting here apologizing for something that's not your fault just because he got jealous!"

It was hard to tell who Akeru was actually angry at, Ichi or Tsukiko, and exactly why. In truth, it was Tsukiko that had gained her ire. To her, Kiko seemed to be following Ichi like some trained dog, and that a woman would reduce herself to such a thing was disgraceful and sickening in Akeru's eyes.

"Well, I suppose some women are willing to lose their backbone to stay with a man, even though I don't understand it. Sad, really, but I guess everyone has to live their own life. So, Ichi, did you train her or did she come like this?"

Akeru folded her arms, still somewhat glaring at Tsukiko. Even though the girl was getting the most of her scorn, Ichi wasn't exactly free from it either. She saw him being with Tsukiko as taking advantage of her submissive personality. None of her ideas on the matter may have been true, but she never had anything good to say about people in a relationship, or ones that looked like they were.

As Akeru heard Ryumon speaking, she sighed. She realized she really spoke out of turn. Weather or not she disapproved of how the two were acting, everyone was there to have fun, just as Ryumon said. So she probably should have kept all that to herself.

"*sigh* I guess you're right, Ryumon. Err...s-sorry for all that. Should have kept my mouth to myself..."

Ryumon was lucky that Akeru never looked directly at him. If she would have seen him staring at her and blushing, there was almost no way to avoid her pounding him into the sand...

Ichite-ru Shujouteki

U-ummm... why a-are...

As Akeru continued to 'talk' about Kiko as well as Ichi, Ichi who still had the towel o his sitting on top of his head stepped between Kiko as well as Akeru. "Y-you said y-yourself... y-your my friend" Ichi said looking at Akeru. "I-if you are.... d-dont talk like K-kiko like that.... please" Ichi said doing his best to stand up for Kiko; which was something he had never done before he was used to getting verbally attacked and just sitting there and taking it; not bothering to talk back to the other people. "K-kiko's m-my friend..... s-so if you are to, P-please be n-nice" Ichi said bringing his hand up and grabbing the towel that was still on top of his head. Ichi remained standing there between Kiko as well as Akeru, his glance remaining on Akeru. "O-okay?" Ichi asked still looking at the girl from the Sand; this was about as forceful as Ichi could be without actually getting angry (Which didn't seem to happen very often)

...we ...at the B-beach?

As Ichi and Tsukiko spoke to her, Akeru sighed and rolled her eyes. Tsukiko looked like she was ready to rip her head off, but Akeru didn't sweat it, she had already apologized and all.

"Geez, you two, I already said sorry, what do you want me to do, go back in time or something?"

She certainly still seemed a little peeved, but she was trying her hardest not to say or do anything offensive again, which was definitely a struggle for her. Luckily, she had been getting practice in just that area. Akeru completely erased the look on her face and replaced it with a smile.

"So, what were you guys doing to keep entertained out here? Even though I live around a lot of sand, I can't say I'm an expert on beaches, you know? I myself have just been lounging and relaxing, but that gets boring after a while..."

It was easy to see Akeru was just trying to change the subject, but she also did want to hear the answer. Just like she said, lounging around was getting boring, and seeing as she wasn't one of the pathetic girls that were at the beach to get noticed by guys, she was actually at a loss as to what to do with herself. There had to be stuff she could do there that she couldn't do at home, or else the whole trip there would have been a complete waste.

"Hmph, turning your back and ignoring people, how very mature of you... Listen, I'm sorry for what I said and all, I didn't mean it. But mature people forgive and forget, they don't act like four year olds."

Akeru didn't know where Ichi had found this girl, but she definitely wasn't from Suna. People from Suna were strong enough not to let simple insults effect them.

"I was just trying to ask a simple question here. Listen, Tsuko or whatever your name is, I'm not trying to make you upset here. I'm sorry, I really am. Lets just let bygones be bygones and all that, we're here to have fun, not pick fights, right?"

Akeru didn't know why she was bothering trying to make up with the girl when she could have just used her as genjutsu bait. Maybe it was for Ichi's sake; there was nobody that knew him that wanted him angry at them...

Day in the Sun

"Why I'm here? Now that's a question I'd like to ask myself. I was pretty much forced to take a vacation here..."

Akeru said that mostly to herself, though it was still within earshot of Kiko. Akeru knew she would have definitely been more comfortable if she could take a break somewhere else where she could be more fully clothed, but she was told to go to the beach, so that was where she went.

"Look, I understand what I said was wrong, and that's the reason I apologized. I'm really not the kind of person that does so when they aren't actually sorry. I said something I shouldn't have and I'm sorry for it. Now, both of us are Ichi's friends, right? Can't we try to put my mistake behind us and be friends, or at leace try being nice to eachother?"

Akeru figured even though she didn't like people in relationships, it was the idea of the relationship more than the actual people themselves. So there was no need to be unfriendly towards them, and if she saw something she found sickening she could just not watch next time.

"So what do you say? Are you going to accept my apology, or am I going to have to beg or let you hit me first?"

Ichite-ru Shujouteki

U-ummm... why a-are...

Ichi looked back and forth as Akeru and Kiko verbally jousted with one another; the boy let out a slight sigh; he had tried to stand up for himself and Kiko but it didn't really seem to have mattered; seeing as how the two girls had pretty much ignored him other then a small comment from Akeru; Kiko and Akeru remained going back and forth; at least Akeru was trying to help the situation. Ichi didn't look over at the boy as he spoke; he simply remained standing in place looking back and forth from Kiko to Akeru; the towel remaining in his head as he did this; Ichi nodding slightly To the boy as he continued to watch the girls.

Akeru gave a smile when Tsukiko finally decided to forgive her. Even though the girl didn't exactly look happy, Akeru knew it was still a step in the right direction.

"Thank you, Tsuko. I'll definitely try to avoid upsetting anyone again."

Akeru knew that tsukiko and Ichi had been able to enjoy themselves before she arrived, so maybe they knew more about what there was to do on the beach besides lounge and soak up the sun. She already got plenty of sun at home, Akeru wasn't in need of any more.

"So, like I said before, I'm pretty new to beach vacations and all, so I found myself without anything to do here. You were saying something about a sand castle before, right?"

Besides knowing that the beach was near water and people wore very little clothing there, Akeru knew next to nothing about the beach. She looked a little intrigued at the fact that they were building an entire castle out of sand.

"Umm...if you're building a castle, isn't it better to make it from something other than sand? I mean, sand doesn't make for the best defensive position. And isn't building a whole castle a lot of work? Isn't this supposed to be a break from working?"

You could see on Akeru's face that she felt slightly foolish asking about these questions, like she was just waiting for someone to burst out laughing at her ignorance.
