Misaki Sumizome "Never take life too seriously. Nobody ever gets out of it alive, anyway." --------------------
M isaki couldn't help but feel deflated. She remembered the 3 hours she took writing the last letter for her dad, trying not to sound too needy but letting her dad know she loved and missed him. And he still doesn't know because of this nosy little girl. Angerly, she stomped up to Sora and snatched her opened letter from her. "You messed it up! Now I won't see the others for a while, either! Thank you very much!" Misaki mumbled to herself as she stalked to the other side of the room. She flipped over a box and grabbed one of the newer envelopes from the stack underneath. "Aoi probrably knows where he is" she mumbled to herself as she neatly refolded her letter to fit the new envelope. "Maybe Uncle knows as well. Mom might.... She has to keep tabs on him to make sure he's away from the village." She nodded as her letter rested in its new home, then turned to give Sora an evil glare. "You're helping me fix this"

"You know Aoi?" the girl blurted out after the initial moment of shock, her question coinciding with Misaki's demand. Sora's expression was a genuine mixture of hope and surprise. Her original reason for climbing up the mountain, despite every nerve of her body telling her that she shouldn't, was to see if she could find anything about the whereabouts of her friend. the girl thought, almost pleadingly, As with before, Sora was practically off in a world of her own, she had been ever since Misaki so much as mentioned the name, "Aoi."

M isaki shook her head at Sora. She couldn't help but to smile a bit. "There you go, ignoring others again" she muttered as she stood up. "Yes, I know Aoi. She's one of daddy's closest friends. She was supposed to visit me this week. It's her turn. Of course, she can't now." Some of her old anger resurfaced as she held her letter up in front of her face. "Since daddy never got his letter telling him I'm still up here." She clutched her teddy a little closer to her chest. I don't wanna be up here alone again.

Sora ๑ HikariBlue Bird XXXX ๑ XXXX Run Around Forgive and Forget but don't Repeat No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. ❂As Misaki clutched her doll, Sora was torn. Part of her wanted to comfort the girl, especially since it was partially (okay, maybe completely) her fault that she was upset. Another part of her wanted to press her with questions about Aoi, especially since she seemed to know a lot about. ๑ Finally, Sora decided that she had better try and atone for what she had done before demanding more. It was only good and right to go about her question that way. "I'm sorry," the girl muttered apologetically, then couldn't help but ask a question that she had thought of just then, "Although, if you don't mind me asking, if you don't like staying up here on the mountain by yourself, then why don't you go down? There are a lot of people in the village." On the letter, if Sora remembered correctly, Misaki had mentioned about being stuck on the mountain but Sora hadn't thought that the writer disliked being cooped up so much. It sounded like a question born out of just curiosity, not a question born out of annoyance.☪Chakra Points= 34/39 Kunai: 20/20 Makibishi= 15/15 Shuriken= 31/31 Senbon= 40/40 Exploding Smoke Grenade= 7/7 Flash Bomb= 7/7 Exploding Tag: 10/10 Steel Wire: 10 meters/10 meters

Misaki Sumizome "Never take life too seriously. Nobody ever gets out of it alive, anyway." --------------------
T he hairs on the back of Misaki's neck stood on end. Down there? With the crowds and noises? Away from all of the animals and the mountain's protection? She tried her best to look mad instead of nervous. "If my choices are to go down to the village and mingle with the very evil people who wish my wonderful daddy dead or to stay here on the mountain with myself and any animal that crosses my path, you can really guess where I'd rather be. Those people are MEAN! Weren't you listening to me earlier? I don't like them, the stupid people there. They are stupid and there's too many of them and... And..." She was panting a little after her rant as she tried to think of a good comeback. Finally, she chose to sit down on the floor and pout. "Point is, I don't wanna go."

Sora ๑ HikariBlue Bird XXXX ๑ XXXX Run Around Forgive and Forget but don't Repeat No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. ❂Sora instinctively closed her eyes and turned her face a bit to the side as Misaki charged into a full-blown rant. Actually, she could swear that it felt as if the shouts coming from the other girl caused her hair to blow back a bit. Of course, Sora couldn't see herself so she didn't know. To the naïve kunoichi, Misaki really seemed angry without a hint of nervousness. Not fond of anger in any form, the girl figured that she should probably try and explain things from the other side. She didn't know why, it simply felt like the right thing to do. There were two sides, often even more, to every argument, that was the most important thing that Sora, surprisingly, had been taught by Ukiyo indirectly by reading his diaries. Misaki, as the daughter of Ukiyo, the leader of a rogue organization, and Sosay, the raikage, deserved… no needed to know of the existence of the different sides at the very least. ๑ "Well," Sora tried to explain the villager's side as Misaki sat pouting on the floor, "I don't know who's view is right or wrong, your dad's or the village's, but you can't really blame the people of Kumo for wanting to… ermm… kill Ukiyo. As their sannin, your father was trusted by many of the villagers to stay in Kumogakure and protect it. That trust was broken brutally when he decided to abandon the village, taking one of the few jounin of Cloud and the Nibi host to make things worse. The result was Kumo losing much of its power. Then, as if that wasn't enough, he nearly killed the Raikage and forced many of the village's remaining shinobi to face darker versions of themselves. From what I hear, at least one ninja died and another one lost his leg during their fight. Even I ended up in the hospital after having my darker version explode on me." At this point, Sora grimaced painfully as she remembered the experience. It was a miracle the girl was still alive. Taking a moment to bring herself back to the present and to regain her train of thought, Sora started again, "My point isn't about your dad being wrong and the people of Kumo being right or even the other way around. My point is why don't you go down and give Kumogakure a chance?".☪Chakra Points= 34/39 Kunai: 20/20 Makibishi= 15/15 Shuriken= 31/31 Senbon= 40/40 Exploding Smoke Grenade= 7/7 Flash Bomb= 7/7 Exploding Tag: 10/10 Steel Wire: 10 meters/10 meters

Misaki nodded, knowing Sora's words made sense. Still, she never made eye contact with the other girl. "I don't care who's wrong or right. I just... They just..." She held her teddy closer and closer to herself, unsure of what to say next. "I don't... Like a lot of people, and they're all over the village" she whispered. "I'm scared to go down there for many reasons. There's too many people, not enough trees, too many roads... And if they find out who I am? If anyone discovers who my father is..." Misaki actually began to shake uncontrolably because of the thought.

Sora ๑ HikariBlue Bird XXXX ๑ XXXX Run Around Forgive and Forget but don't Repeat No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. ❂It was only when Misaki made her reply and began to shake that Sora realized, . "Why are you so nervous?" the girl asked, not able to conceal a small laugh. She wasn't laughing to make fun of the seated girl, but laughing of her own mistake and the Misaki's cuteness. Sora continued, "Don’t worry, no one knows that Ukiyo had a daughter, the most that's been said about that topic are just rumors. If you're that scared, then why don't you just change your last name? As for there being too many roads and stuff, well, you'll see it's not all that bad. There's a really pretty lake and the markets are really exciting. Besides, you can't forget the area surrounding Kumo. It's all mountain." As she talked, Sora made motions with her hands and arms to try and describe physically what she was mentioning verbally. It was obvious that the girl was excited. She loved her village not only because of the people living in it, but also because of just the village itself. It was her home and she admired it. Honestly, she didn't know anything about good and bad, right and wrong but what she did know was to protect what she cared for. Her village was something she cared for.☪Chakra Points= 34/39 Kunai: 20/20 Makibishi= 15/15 Shuriken= 31/31 Senbon= 40/40 Exploding Smoke Grenade= 7/7 Flash Bomb= 7/7 Exploding Tag: 10/10 Steel Wire: 10 meters/10 meters

M isaki kept her head down as the girl talked, but could hear the wonder in Sora's words and honestly became curious. She discribes it as if there's magic down there... Why does she love it so much? "I guess going down there wouldn't hurt too much" she said as she began to tug on her bunny's ears. "We could leave the letter back where you find it and... You could show me around... As long as you promise to be my protector." She glanced shyly up at Sora, trying not to sound eager to see what she's seen. An idea flashed through her head and she couldn't help herself from squirming at that point. "Maybe I could... Possibly visit... Y'know, the Raikage?? My mom?? Could we see her for a little bit?" Excitement built up inside her as she thought about seeing her mom again and exploring a new area, but she quickly kept it clamped shut. I shouldn't be eager to see bad people.

Sora ๑ HikariBlue Bird XXXX ๑ XXXX Run Around Forgive and Forget but don't Repeat No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. ❂Sora nodded eagerly after Misaki finished her string of demands, "Sure! I promise to keep you as safe as I possibly can and we'll see what we can do about meeting the Raikage!". Then, just as she was about to head back down, the girl remembered something. Her voice, now toned down a bit as she began to think seriously, Sora asked, "You don't want to be known as being related to Ukiyo, do you? At least, not in the village, right?". The fear that was nudging at Sora was that others, especially the Raikage, would recognize the bits of Ukiyo and Sosay that presented themselves in Misaki's face. Admittedly, Sora only noticed it because she had known that Ukiyo and Sosay had a child and it could easily be said that Misaki had the Anigan so it was completely possible for her to look like Ukiyo. Harder to explain would be her semblance to Sosay and who else would be better at noticing it than the Raikage herself? Sure, resembling Sosay had nothing to do with Ukiyo, but if seeing Misaki made Sosay remember…. Sora was certain that the Raikage wouldn't harm her own daughter just to find Ukiyo but… one never knew. ๑ Additionally, for all Sora knew, Nagisa was on the bottom of the mountain and would know that Misaki came from the top, meaning that she could be related to Ukiyo. How else would another girl accompany Sora down the slope? Sora trusted Nagisa and considered her a very dear friend, one of the major ties that held her to Kumo but, like with the Raikage, she didn't know how the jounin would handle the knowledge that Ukiyo's daughter was right in their grasps. It wasn't that she cared for Misaki more than Nagisa but she would rather have it so that neither side received any injury. Not hiding anything from Nagisa could hurt Misaki but hiding Misaki wouldn't hurt Nagisa, that was how Sora was thinking as she thought of a way to bring Misaki down and hide her.☪Chakra Points= 34/39 Kunai: 20/20 Makibishi= 15/15 Shuriken= 31/31 Senbon= 40/40 Exploding Smoke Grenade= 7/7 Flash Bomb= 7/7 Exploding Tag: 10/10 Steel Wire: 10 meters/10 meters

((the mountain doesn't really have any paths, it is all pretty difficult. Perhaps they could go down on the other side, Sora could meet Nagisa then sneak off and pick up Misaki?)) Nagisa leaned against the tree. Sora had been gone a while, if she didn't return soon... Nagisa wasn't going to wait much longer, she would go up there herself if she had to. Her mind wandered as she continued to wait a little longer. Sora was the one who originally sent Nagisa here the first time. To find out what was at the top. Now it seemed Sora herself was going to find out. Nagisa just hoped it wasn't a danger... ((i'm kinda curious how Nagisa would react to Misaki. if she were to find out))

H er hands tightened around her bunny as Misaki shifted in place. "Yea, I figured if they hate him as much as I guess, they'd probrably instantly dislike me. Do you think I could use your last name, Sora?" She stared up at the girl, pleading silently with her eyes. "Or, if you're too well known, do you know of a last name I could use? I'd feel alot better that way." Misaki gave a soft smile as she stood back up. "But that could always be discussed as we head down the starry side." She said all of this as she hurried to one side of the room to grab her katars, then grabbed her mostly empty bag from under her bed and placed her katars in it. Then she grabbed at Sora's hand, some of her old bubbly energy returned, and headed out the door. "I call it that 'cause it's the best side to go and star up at the side!"

Fail better. ❂Sora, who had been concentrating on a possible last name for Misaki, was surprised at the sudden pull of her hand and soon found herself half-tripping, half-running down the slope of the mountain. Soon, the girl recognized that they were going down the same side that she had come up on. While, admittedly, it was the shortest way to the village, it was the most likely place for Nagisa to wait should she have chosen to. "Wait!" Sora warned as she tried to find a steady foothold to break with, her fear of tripping and rushed breathing causing her voice to shout out unconsciously, "Someone might be down there!".☪Chakra Points= 34/39 Kunai: 20/20 Makibishi= 15/15 Shuriken= 31/31 Senbon= 40/40 Exploding Smoke Grenade= 7/7 Flash Bomb= 7/7 Exploding Tag: 10/10 Steel Wire: 10 meters/10 meters

Misaki stopped abruptly and almost fell on her face from her downward force. Someone else here? "You come with surprises, don't you girl" she mumbled more to herself than to Sora. She pulled out 3 needle-shaped sharpened wood from the side pocket of her bag and held them, poised and ready to use. "Is she friend? Enemy? Someone who knows about daddy and wants to do something... Against him?"

Kaito half walked half stumbled into a clearing near the summit of the southern mountain range. He was fond of the area for the simple fact of the frequent occurance of thunderstorms which he found to be incredibly soothing during a training session. He could already see the makings of one in the not so distant future. He pushed the thought aside and continued into the area and threw his pack on the ground. He carried a sleeping bag, food, water, scrolls and a weeks worth of reading material. He planned to be up here for sometime so he began setting up the tent, oblivious to the people around him
