Hi, my name is Andrea and I'm 15 years old. I first became intrested in Buddhism in middle school and I have even done a project on the 14th Dalai Lama's life in school. (Sorry if I misspelled, I'm havin' a serious brain malfunction right now sweatdrop ) I want to learn more about Buddhism and eventually convert to it when I move out of my house. I have never taken a shine to Christianity or the Catholic faith even though my parents are Catholic (I think sweatdrop ). I believe more in the teachings of the Buddha than that of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for allowing me to join your guild!

Hello, the name I want you to call me by is Miza. I'm 17 years old (about to be 18 in five weeks) and I live in New Orleans, Louisiana.
I was raised Roman Catholic, but due to my lack of faith in Christianity, I decided to "try-out" a few religions. I was first a "Fluffy" Wiccan because the religion seemed interesting. Then I learned a bit about Buddhism at a local Zen Temple, and I noticed that most of the morals that I personally follow were beliefs in the Buddhist religion. I then became a follower of the Kemetic Orthodox faith, which is basically the religion of the Ancient Egyptians (I still love this one). Then I followed Islam. I felt as though Islam was the right way for me, but my faith slowly faded away. Now I am trying Buddhism again. I feel as though I only breached the surface of this beautiful religion, and I thirst for a deeper understanding of it.

Hi my name is Haley, im almost 13
being born into a (loosely) christian family, i just considered myself christian, but i have formed my own beliefs other than what people around me have been influencing upon me, and i think buddhism suits me well. for about the past year i have been considering buddhism, and now i am finally converting, and i feel happier following something i have spent my own time choosing biggrin

My name is... sorry confidential . I really like the Buddist religion and respect much more than most other religions 3nodding . Since I don't have to surrender my faith to become Scientologist, I can happily apply the Teachings of Guatama Sidhartha. While applying the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard as well. The Buddha is one of my favourite people. He rocks. My socks. I like chocolate chip muffins...a lot. My starsign is Halos and my Zodiac rhymes with Taurus.

Hello everyone!
My name is Janna, I am 26 and have been seriously studying Tibetan Buddhism for roughly a year, with a mild curiousity of fumbling around the idea of Buddhism for about 5. I look forward to all the conversations!
Ciao for now!

My name is Allyson, and I'm 16. I am a Mahayana Buddhist. I became interested in the Buddhist teachings...I guess it was a long while back, but I'm only just starting to try to learn about it recently. I guess my love for anime and all things japanese led me to Buddhism...don't know how or why though... sweatdrop My family has no idea...i think. My friends/acquaintances all know about my "different" views on religion and I get questioned about it daily.

Hello. My name is Ben, and I've been studying Buddhism for almost 4 years now. I've recently felt a real resurgence in myself lately, and feel much more wholly commited to it. I feel a closer connection to Ch'an/Zen than anything else, but I have studied Theravada and Tibetan Buddhism equally. I hope to be able to share valuable insights here. 3nodding

Hi! My name is Amanda and I'm 27-years-old. I have been a Zen Buddhist for 2-3 years now. My mother raised me and my sister without religion because she wanted us to find our own paths in life, rather than to have someone hand them to us. Most of my family is a different religion. My mother is Baptist, my dad is Methodist and my sister tends to follow more of the Jewish beliefs mixed in with Hinduisim. My whole life has been evolved around helping others despite my own troubles and to always learn about the things around you before jumping to conclusions. I lead a poor life offline and I try not to let it get me down by believing that God has something planned for everyone. Yes, I do believe in God. Not all Buddists demolish God. I have sought a lot of redicule for accepting the ways of Buddhism. My family is from the South of the United States and I do live in a racist area. Everyone here is Christian and there are tons of Christian churches anywhere. If you are seen as anything but Christian, you are kind of labled a devil worshipper, or going to hell, in those regards. I have kept my religion to myself and do not discuss it unless someone asks or is interested. I take pride in what I believe; I just choose to ignore everyone that is ignorant about Buddhism in these parts because it would create a lot of trouble for myself.
