[A]shrielAshriel sighed thankfully as she heard Raevyn in her head. She excused herself to the bathroom, and she hurried to the back alley, grinning at Raevyn. "Thank you so much." Honestly, she was tempted to add pervy kitty as she took the paper bag. "I took notes...that made everyone stare. Still, I got them, so you better be thankful." Thank you so much, Pervy Kitty

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((He's gonna be stuck with that nickname now. XD ))
"Hey, I brought you lunch." Raevyn told her, letting go of the bag. "And let me tell you, that was no walk in the park. I personally think it was fair trade, so I don't need to be thankful." He sat, tail curled around his paws, in the shadows of the alley. "You should probably hurry back before anyone misses you." He commented lightly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

--yup-- [A]shrielAshriel smiled. "Fine, I'll go back now...pervy kitty." She said as she walked off, hurrying back into the cafeteria. He-he.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn's fur bristled. "I'm not a pervy kitty!" He yelled inside Ashriel's head. Huffing, he turned and stalked into the alley, beginning his trip home. This time though, he could stay as a cat. Earlier, he'd been using his human form because a cat carrying a lunch bag would look weird. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shrielAshriel smirked at his voice inside of her head as she sat down to eat with her friends. Of course, they brought up the fact that they were coming over- Ashriel had to breath deeply during this.
--time skip to end of school day--
Ashriel grabbed her things as the bell rang, hurrying out the door. Both of her friends, Jen and Lix, followed close after her, Lixini giggling as usual. Jennalin was oddly calm and silent- usually a bad thing. Ashriel ignored both as she walked towards her apartment. At least once during the trip Lixini pointed out that this wasn't the way to Ash's old home.
As Ash reached her apartment building and turned to walk in, Jennalin finally spoke up. "This...this is..." She looked at Ash, her eyebrows furrowed as if inquiring.
"My home." Ashriel said simply, leading them to her apartment. She opened the door quickly and yelled to Raevyn. "Kitty, I'm home!" Hopefully, he'd know why she called him.
--You can take over one, or both of the friends if you want. Lixini, better known as Lix, tends to be childish and hyper. Also a big klutz. Jennalin, also known as Jen, is much calmer, slightly quiet. Tends to believe in the supernatural.-- Please don't mess this up, Pervy Kitty.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Mokay. I'll probably will end up stealing Lixini.))
Raevyn looked up from where he'd been napping on his pillow. He slid off the bed and sauntered into the living, curious about her friends. He was only slightly limping as he walked. He looked up at the three girls and chirped inquisitively, looking perfectly normal. So far, so good. Well, until Lixini saw him. She squealed "Kitty!" and scooped him up, making the cat hiss and lash out with his claws. Raevyn twisted in the air as she dropped him, landing clumsily on all fours, hissing. Lix frowned at him. "Bad kitty!" She muttered with a small glare, rubbing the three bright lines across her arm. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shrielJennalin rose her eyebrows at Lixini, shaking her head. "Lix, you know that most cats hate being picked up. Why would you think this one would be any different?" She questioned her friend, before looking around at Ashriel's apartment. Rapidly, she turned to face Ashriel. "Ash! Why didn't you tell us you were living on your own? Why didn't you tell us you were struggling?" The girl began to lecture, looking straight at Ashriel.
Ashriel frowned lightly at Jennalin. "I didn't want to worry you guys. I'm getting along just fine." She said in response, to which Jennalin only raised her eyebrows. Somehow, I knew this would happen.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn began twining around Ashriel's feet, hiding from the bubbly girl that had promptly forgotten him. Lix shrugged at Jen. "Cause you never know." She said simply, her logic childish. She quickly dropped the subject though, turning to join in on lecturing Ashriel. She crossed her arms and huffed. "Ashy, you should know better than to keep secrets from us. We want to help! The thought of you living here all alone....Struggling....." She threw her arms around Ashriel in a sudden hug, making Raevyn scamper away from her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"I'm doing fine!" Ashriel responded, but she hugged Lixini back. Taking a deep breath, she pulled away from Lix so that she could see them both. "I swear, I'm not struggling. After all, I've got a cat! I can afford a cat, so I'm doing just fine." She started to use Raevyn to her advantage, sighing.
"Just how long, Ash? How long have you been living here?" Jennalin interjected, calmly looking around. Her eyes suddenly seemed glued to the cat as Ashriel mentioned it. Some part of her was bothered by it. "How do we know that you aren't spending most of your money on this 'cat'?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn looked up at Jennalin, then looked away. Most animals didn't like eye contact. They took it as a challenge. He sauntered away from them, tail in the air, and hopped up onto the couch. There he curled in a ball, watching the girls through half closed eyes, the image of a bored cat. Really though, he was listening intently.
Lix pouted, hands on hips. "Ash....." She said, almost whining. "You really should have told us. What happened to you? How did you end up here? How are you paying for it?" She began talking quickly, the questions popping up one after another in her mind. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel took a deep breath as she began to answer the flood of questions. "My parents kicked me out on my eighteenth birthday, so I wound up finding this place up for grabs. I am paying for it using money I get from my part-time job at the shoe store down the block." Another deep breath, and Ashriel was smiling. "I didn't want to bother you guys. After all, Jen, you've been living in a one bedroom apartment for the longest time, and you, Lix, are still living with all your siblings and your parents. It wasn't like I wanted to worry you guys by asking you for anything."
"But the difference here, Ash, is that my family PAYS for my home." Jennalin appealed, looking at Ashriel. "I could always convince them to let me get a bigger apartment!"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Lix frowned at her friend. "Why shouldn't you ask for things? It's not like I have anything to worry about, as my parents deal with everything. So it's not like we can't help you." She said, rolling her eyes. "I know we don't always seem the best off in term of money, but we could have helped somehow." With three younger siblings, things were sometimes tight for Lixini's family. But she couldn't help but feel that that she hadn't been able to help her friend. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at the two of them and shook her head lightly. "I can handle it myself. Besides, I don't want to end up riding off of you. I don't want to go about getting everything for free! I've been handling this just fine for three months, haven't I?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn rolled his eyes, listening to them chatter. 'Jeez. Girls talk. A lot.' He thought to himself. "Still!" Lix's voice interrupted his musings. She hugged Ashriel. "Promise me. Promise me that you'll tell us if you need anything. And I mean anything!" She insisted, wanting to make sure her friend was well looked after. "Sure..." Ashriel said quietly, her fingers crossed behind her back. No, she wouldn't ask them- she couldn't worry them. She'd be fine. "So," She backed away from Lixini. "Do you guys want dinner?"
Jennalin, who was still watching the cat in the corner of her eye, nodded.
