Takeshi walked towards the training grounds when he stumbled upon two Academy Students. They looked at his headband then his hair. "Are you Takeshi Hatake?"['/color] Takeshi looked at the student who asked him that. "Yes I am." "Then you should hurry up and get to the training grounds. Miss Kaede is waiting for you." Takeshi thanked them and ran off to the training grounds. He was already slapping himself that he didn't ask for a description of the woman. Takeshi just walked to the nearest teacher, which happened to be Kaede. "Um, hello Miss Kaede. I'm sorry I am late, my name is Takeshi Hatake."

Takeshi was puzzled when she pressed her face into his chest. He was even more dumbfounded when a doll was placed in his face. When she did finally turn and gave her attention to someone else. "I'd like to learn some Raiton techniques." He rested his left hand on the hilt of his new katana.

Mikomi smiled at the genuine desire of the girl to learn, and listened patiently to her list of skills. After pondering for a moment on what skills of that skill set she could teach, she replied, "Well, I can't teach genjutsu or a weapon style without a scroll, which I'll obtain tonight, but I can teach you the lower level katon ninjutsu. So do you have an idea of what techniques you would like to learn today that are katon ninjutsu? I can teach the other things tomorrow when I have the scrolls."

Daichi decided that, considering all the grief he would get for making a scene about Kaede's outlandish remarks, that he would just choose to not get frustrated by them any further. So he turned his focus to his surroundings and his training. He was starting to feel the effects of his chakra drain; he was somewhat less energetic, but still fully focused and capable of proceeding with the training. So he formed the signs for yet another ninjutsu, and pressurized the air around him by pushing his chakra out and then pulling it back toward him with the air. Then, once it was built up, he released it toward Kaede and Manami. The two ninja were too far away to get knocked back by the blast, but they did receive a gust of wind that ruffled their clothes and hair. A small grin played across his face as he waited to see if either of them responded to his attack abnormally.

"I don't have an exact couple of jutsu I'd like to learn. Just all the lower level[E-D] ranked jutsu I can." Takeshi watched as the other person, who was learning genjutsu, focused on Kaede. He turned away from her for a few seconds. "And I guess all the low [E ranked] jutsu of both Suiton, and the universal jutsus."

The thought of creating more 'festering, and bleeding' wounds disgusted him. Right now he wasn't exactly in the mood for torture, or 'playing,' since he was trying to seriously train. That, and the person who was training him was a little girl, which didn't really provoke much interest from him besides being curious about how she was able to attain her position so early. Manami shook his head and focused on her words, giving the girl a blank stare as she finished. He turned about and looked around the area, noting a particular lack of things for him to manipulated. It would be impossible to disguise anything in this area besides maybe a trap. An idea sprung into his head as he turned to the other person learning from Kaede, reaching down and picking up a small rock. He focused on Takeshi, making the rock that Manami held appear as a Kunai to him, and then he just launched the object at the man.

Katon: Shoumeidan no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flare Technique): The user must mold chakra to their lungs, they are then able to exhale a close-ranged burst of heat and flame, which is like a tiny explosion from the mouth. The blast lasts but a second, and is mostly used to illuminate dark places.

Setsuna maintained her shy demeanor as she carefully watched what the teacher was doing. Her eyes traced the movements of the fingers. Then, when the teacher began explaining what the skill did, the girl's personality shifted slightly. Rather than being attentive and shy, she was now distracted and animated. With an exaggerated jerk of her head, the girl focused intensely on a butterfly fluttering past nearby. The girl waved her head, mimicking the wave-like movements of the flying insect. She was listening attentively, she just didn't look like it. At least, she wouldn't have looked like it if someone was only looking at her head. While her head did its own little thing, Setsuna's fingers were copying the movements that Mikomi's fingers had been making. Over and over again, the repeated each hand sign required for the jutsu. After the first few tries, the repetition seemed a bit pointless as it was obvious by then that the girl had mastered the progression of hand signs needed for the technique. However, Setsuna wasn't aiming for just mastering the hand signs. [1/3]

E-ranks were the foundations for all future skills. As she practiced for the one specific jutsu she was learning at the moment, she also tried to practice for ninjutsu in general. This repetition of hand signs was conditioning Setsuna, making her used to molding her fingers into such strange shapes. Besides, she still had to mold her chakra properly. The butterfly had passed; now, Setsuna's eyes were closed and her face had taken on a calm, serious demeanor, almost as if she was meditating except that she was standing and not sitting. The girl breathed steadily and with each breath, she molded her chakra in an attempt to perform the Shoumeidan no Jutsu. Although, most people wouldn't have thought she was trying to practice a jutsu judging from the posture she had taken. [2/3]

Molding chakra was always the most difficult part. Fingers were something physical, something that had been willingly manipulated since one was very young. Chakra, on the other hand, wasn't usually willfully manipulated until ninja school began. However, eventually, Setsuna succeeded in collecting the chakra into her lungs and then releasing it as a burst of fire once it exited her mouth. Still, though, she didn't stop. Just as with the fingers, the girl continued on, repeating continuously what she had just accomplished. It was a good idea, actually, as could be seen when she failed every now and then despite having accomplished the technique several times already. Eventually, though, the girl managed to keep up a steady stream and when she reached 10 consecutive successes she stopped. Probably the most bizarre thing would have been how she had helped the meditation-like expression for the entire time (she was still standing). The second-most bizarre thing was probably how the girl seemed to not be tired at all despite all the practice with just one technique. [3/3]

Setsuna yawned, stretched, stooped down, and then began drawing on the ground as she waited for the teacher's next instructions.
