Arson shook his head lightly, resting his left hand on Snow's flank as he took back the brush. "He's taken a liking to you." he murmured, looking back at Ayame. Something of a gleam of wicked amusement, a gleam that looked like a deadly combination of Sho and Myka's, sparked into Arson's brown-black eyes sharply as he set the brush down in it's bucket. He wiped his hands against his jeans as he moved back to Snow's face. The stallion pegasi seemed to be thinking the same thing. Now all they needed was Ayame's approval. Hand in his jeans pocket, Arson smiled once again; his all out Devil's Grin. The question was simple, the answer he might've already guessed. Arson offered a halfhearted shrug before parting his lips to say;"Would you like to ride him?"

Ayame's eyes narrowed slightly, and her features turned cat-like. Having spent a life-time with Sho (and what felt like a life-time with Myka), Ayame could tell when someone was hiding a 'secret agenda'. And Arson and both the horse obviously were. Now was not really a great time for Ayame to slowly be taught how to ride a horse. Not when she was (okay, she'd admit it) jealous of Myka for being so sarcastic and confident, as well as struggling to keep her emotions about Arson in control. Ayame really did feel like she was going to explode. She was so locked in her eternal conflict that Ayame didn't notice the water in Snow's trough ripple lightly, like it had been disturbed by a breeze. Finally, giving in, Ayame leaned close to Arson, and brushed her lips against his gently, being careful to keep her hair tucked neatly behind her ears. "Not particularly." Ayame admited after pulling away, not even the slightest hint of a blush on her cheeks. "But I don't really have a choice, do I?" She shrugged. "Show me what to do."

[[wow. you did surprise meh. XD]]
Arson's eyes widened somewhat when he felt something like lips on his. Wait, did Ayame just do that? No. Snow did.' whispered the a*****e in Arson's head. "Of course you have a choice." he mumbled somwhat incoherently. Something pink tinged Arson's cheeks before he abruptly looked away in embarassment. 'Quit acting like such a girl!!' his Inner Ivy/Myka screamed. Arson bit back a scowl as he moved towards Snow's saddle. He began tacking up the pegasi, making carefully sure that everything was in it's proper place. "Just put your foot right there," Arson said, pointing to the foothold, "And be careful of his wings."

Ayame made a half-smirk, half-smile, her white teeth almost blinding. "Didn't expect that one, did you?" She thought smugly, then almost instantly scolded herself. Arson was a nice boy, a very nice boy. And it was wrong for her to tease him like that. "But maybe that's the problem I have with him." Ayame thought she she hoisted herself up into the saddle, and forced herself not to look down. "But he's so cute, and-NO! Bad brain! Very bad! He's just a friend." As if to reassure herself of that, Ayame smiled nervously down at Arson. "You have to catch me if I fall, okay?" She asked, trying to sound like it didn't really matter to her, even though she was scared to death. "If he's only a friend, why did you kiss him?" A snide voice in the back of her mind asked, but Ayame ignored it (also noting that the voice sounded a little like Myka, but that didn't mean anything, right?). Trying to smile, and pretending to be confident, Ayame patted Snow gingerly.

Arson nodded, carefully picking up the reins and moving them in front of Snow. "I wouldn't let you get hurt." he replied. His voice held more meaning than he had originally intended. He carefully led Snow out of his stall and out of the Stables, into the sunlight of the warm afternoon. The stallion whinnied cheerfully, shaking his head. "Alright. Just a few times around before we start flying, alright?" he asked, though he was speaking more to Snow than he was to Ayame. He led the stallion in a wide circle before giving the reins back to Ayame, absently letting his fingers linger for a little longer than he should have. He felt himself go somewhat red before looking Ayame square in the eye. That little Myka-Ivy voice was right. No need to be such a big baby. "Ready?" he asked.

Ayame shrugged. "Ready as I'll ever be." She said weakly, trying to get her mind out of the gutter and focus on the fact that she was riding a horse. Or, to be correct, a pegasi. Gingerly, Ayame took the reins Arson had offered, noting that his fingers brushed against hers in a sort of accident-on-purpose sort of way, and also noting that he didn't blush. Well. That was new. Maybe Arson also had a little Myka voice inside his head, teasing and taunting him whenever he messed up. Because at this point, Ayame was quite sure that was what she had. A godd*mn little Myka voice. Shaking her head, Ayame pulled her thoughts away from how much she hated Myka, and tried to focus (once again) on the horse she was riding. "Wait! I don't really think I'm ready for flying today." Ayame told Arson, although she had to admit (at least to herself) that the idea of flying was certainly...entertaining to say the least. Flying was usually associated with freedom, and freedom was something Ayame hadn't felt in a long, long time. Still, today was the first time EVER that Ayame had been on a horse. Didn't it make sense to take things nice and easy? Or was she just being a coward? Ayame bit her lip. Why was life never simple once you passed the age of ten?

[[sorry for the twinge of godmodding!!]]
Arson smiled at Ayame's comment before he clicked his tongue. Snow picked up to a gentle trot around the circle before Arson let go of his hold and allowed the white pegasi to run at his own pace. Arson clicked his tongue twice before Snow slowly picked up to something of a half-canter and then faster. "You're a natural!" he called, as the white stallion took her around and around. Arson furrowed his brows and let something of a sigh escape his lips. "Whoa, boy." he said as Snow slowered to a stop. He was beside Ayame in an instant and bit his lilp. A thought then popped into his head that he had buried back only minutes prior. A comforting smile on his face, Arson looked up at Ayame. "Then I'll fly with you." he said. Nimbly, Arson's hands were moving back Ayame's hips as he took the reins from her and jumped onto Snow's back. "Hold onto me. First flight's always the bumpiest." he warned before the silent command reached Snow's ears. The pegasi unfolded his wings strongly before he caught the wind and took to the sky.

It was good that Ayame wasn't a screamer, otherwise the entire camp would have probably gone deaf. But, Ayame wasn't a screamer. Instead, she just gripped the reins tightly with numb hands, her eyes the size of dinner plates. "Arson, you are so dead once we get back on the ground." She muttered, not caring if Arson heard her or not. Right now, Ayame was pissed, scared, and awkward. Not a very good combination. She thought about closing her eyes, but...it really was beautiful soaring through the sky, even though, in reality, Snow wasn't flying that high off the ground. Slowly, Ayame's grip on the reins loosened and her tense shoulders relaxed slightly. "This is...nice." She thought, smiling slightly. She turned around again, and sighed happily. "Well, I guess I should say thanks. If it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't have done anything except walk around on the horse in circle on the ground." Absentminedly, Ayame reached for Arson's hand, and laced her fingers through his. "Thank you." Now that Ayame had gotten over (most of) her fear, she allowed her thoughts to drift wherever they wanted. Which probably wasn't such a good idea, since Ayame's thoughts wanted to think about Arson. "Should I just admit that I like him already? But I already told him. Didn't I? So now what do I do?" She wondered as she bit her lip. Gods, Ayame couldn't remember the last person she'd has a crush on. Probably some popular jock back in middle school. But she had a feeling this was slightly different. "Hey, Arson?" She called, leaning forward slightly, and very much so aware of the fact that her chest was pressing against his back. Blushing slightly, and trying to ignore that fact, Ayame continued. "I actually, honestly, really like you, and I think I already told you that. But..." Her fingers tightened around his slightly. "I don't really know how to act around boys, other than as friends. And I know I can be a bit mean sometimes. So, I'm sorry if I'm a b*tch to you. And I'm sorry for repeating myself, because I know I told you that before as well..." Embarrassed, Ayame trailed off, and focused on the sky instead, letting the bright sun blind her eyes, making them water.

Arson laughed. To be honest, he couldn't help it. Flying had always made him feel high and free, but flying with Ayame was a different experience entirely. His eyes widened somewhat when Ayame took his hand, but actually enjoyed the warmth that radiated off of the hand. He laced his fingers in with hers warmly, squeezing her fingers in reassurance. Arson's eyes softened somewhat, resting his chin on his shoulder to look back at Ayame. "Hey." he said, trying to catch her attention. Once he had it, Arson only smiled once more. "Don't worry about it. You have your way, and I have mine. I act like a complete girl when I get nervous around you, and I blush constantly. It's not very manly, but...But I could get used to it." he finished calmly, turning his eyes back on the sky ahead.

(Sorry, short post T.T)
"That's good." Ayame admitted, shutting her eyes and tilting her head back so that her hair glowed gold in the sun. "Because I could get used to being a bit of a b*tch around you, and always feeling awkward, and blushing almost constantly. Besides, I don't think you act like a total girl around me. You just act slightly unmanly!" Opening her eyes, Ayame smiled down at their intertwined hands and fell silent for several minutes, just enjoying the feelings that flying awoke in her. Like freedom, and happiness, and just a sort of sense of peace. Kinda like what had happened earlier in the day when she had controlled the creek. Only slightly toned down. Speaking of earlier in the day...where had Sho and Myka gone? A slight smirked play at the edges of Ayame's full lips, and she leaned forward again, her breath ghosting against Arson's ear. "Hey, did you notice that Sho and Myka were totally infatuated with each other?" She asked him, a slight ripple of laughing in her voice. "Or am I just imagining things?"

Arson shrugged. "Slightly unmanly? I can deal with that." he replied. He tugged at Snow's reins, banking right and then left before leveling out among the sky. They were steadily rising higher into the sky, but still remaining in the radius of the stables. His eyes softened as he looked down at the fingers that were tangled with hers, his smile becoming more affectionate with his gaze. He enjoyed the steady silence and when Ayame spoke once more, Arson laughed loudly."You saw it too? Yeah. I was kind of amazing that they weren't in each other's pants by the end of breakfast." he replied.

Ayame's smile turned into a complete and utter smirk. "Yes, only slightly unmanly." A sudden gust of wind blew Ayame's full mane of hair every which way and she struggled to blow her now messy hair out of her eyes. No such luck. Sighing, Ayame let go of Arson's hand, and began combing her hair back into place with her fingers. Her smirk only widened when Arson spoke. "It was, actually, very amazing. But then again, Sho isn't really big on public displays of affection, so maybe it's not that strange that the two of them managed to control themselves while we were eating. That isn't to say that they aren't off making out in some hidden little part of camp..." Ayame trailed off and was silent for a minute before before her eyes narrowed and she burst out laughing. "Oh my Gods, they're at the creek!" She explained between bursts of laugher, wrapping her arms tightly around Arson's waist since she was still afraid of falling off. "This is just too perfect! I thought we made Sho feel awkward last night when we made him dress up like a girl, but this is even better! Screw Myka, I am never going to let them hear the end of this!" Ayame tilted her head back, still laughing, the sunlight dancing off the diamond post in her nose. "Now all we need to do is hook your sister up with someone, and things will be perfect."

A frown flickered onto Arson's face when Ayame let go of his hand, but he decided not to dwell on the thought. "It was actually more surprising for me considerin how many times she kissed him. I was half expecting them to bust out and bang on the table." he replied, a laugh in his throat. When he listened to Ayame's realization, his own eyes widened and he began laughing as well. For safety precautions, he brought Snow lower to the ground, but still ghosting somewhat over the top of the stables. "This is magnificent!" he replied between fits of his own loud laughter. When he finally calmed down, he had landed with Snow, who was now trotting in that same large circle. He shook his head lamely at her remark about Ivy, a smile still on his face."Ivy isn't really into guys. Bad experience when she was a kid. Besides, she'd much rather play matchmaker with us. She already has." he replied.

Ayame wanted to take Arson's hand again, but decided against it. That would just be too awkward. Sighing, and letting the last of her laughter die away, she composed herself again and frowned slightly at Arson's comment about Ivy. "Is she into girls then?" Ayame asked, not meaning to pry or be rude, but just genuinely curious. A minute later, when Ayame realized what she had asked, she blushed. "Sorry!" Ayame said hastily. "I didn't mean to be rude. I mean...sorry. That was an uncalled for question." She trailed off, and bit her lip. "But you're right. She totally has played match-maker with us, which I can't say I'm totally okay with." Shrugging, Ayame let the matter drop. A part of her wanted to go find Sho and Myka, and tease them until Sho's ears were red (Ayame had a feeling Myka wouldn't really care regardless of what happened, or what Ayame said), a part of her was nearly dying with hunger, and another part of her was debating the pros and cons of dragging Arson around with her, no matter where she went. Making a split second decision, Ayame turned to Arson. "Hey, I'm hungry again, and that orange didn't do much in the way of filling me up. Wanna go get something else to eat?" Dimly, a part of Ayame remembered that boys liked girls who were slender and skinny, and rarely ate at all, but she shrugged this off. Ayame didn't care what Arson thought of her. Okay, that was a lie. She did care what Arson thought of her. She just didn't care if Arson thought she was fat or not. Because one look at Ayame would make it obvious she wasn't.
