"I can't do this," Chris whispered almost inaudibly. She stood up and walked to the kitchen, pulling the cupcakes out of the oven half a minute before the timer went off. She frosted them in silence, then dropped them on the table on her way out of the dining room. She strode swiftly up the stairs and locked herself in her room. She just wasn't in the mood to pretend right now.

 ~Eldest Daughter~ Joshana7777777777777JZ204677777777777ZackiaJZ sighed and turned to leave. She spotted Sam on the roof and a small smile crossed her face. "Sam! Why are you on the roof?" She inquired of him. It was a rather strange place to be considering it was getting cold out. Even JZ, who was wearing, and almost always wore, very little, was getting kind of cold. "Come down here and talk with your big sister. I wanna know why you didn't come eat with us..."

“uh, I’m not coming down JZ. That’s not going to happen. And I don’t plan on eating with you people any time soon. I humiliated myself I front of Zack. Now I can not speak near him.”
Sam crossed his arms over his chest and took a deep breath. Things were breaking down and he just knew that he had to stay stubborn and not get off the roof. The boy’s sweater and hat protected him from the cold but he realized that he had made a bad choice.

~Eldest Daughter~ Joshana7777777777777JZ204677777777777ZackiaJZ raised her eyebrow. Humiliated himself in front of Zack? But Sam seemed to adore Zack almost as much as he adored the old man. What could he have possibly done? "Sam...You can't just stay up there. You've got to come down. You can't avoid all of us forever...esecially not Zack... And definatly not me!." If he wanted to be stubborn...two could play that game.

 ~Eldest Son~ Zack sat silent eating. In the middle of it all, he would stay calm and level headed. He would not fake things, but control he would keep. He used his specialty to bring a piece of paper and pencil to him. He jotted down a note and then sent it to the younger sibling. On the front it said, From:Zack. To:Sam. A pencil and the piece of paper floated in front of Sam. He ate his food, enjoying the nutrients. The note: Hey Sam,
What's wrong? Why can't we eat as a family tonight? I'd like for us to all sit down as one and talk and eat. Please?

Big Worried Brother, Zack.Zack saw that everyone had left already and that didn't make it easier, but he ate anyway. Solemn, silent, and for the moment, alone.

Sam stood up and stuck out his chin, taking a step back away from the edge. In a few moments a note drifted upwards, followed by a pencil and dropped in front of him, he picked it up and read it, a blush immediately colored his face. He's been found. The b*****d knew were he was... With out a second word, he dropped the note, it drifted down to the balcony, and he was gone. He was In Chris's room now, thinking it a good place to hide, she would have already known, and she wouldn't rat him out.
"Shh."
Sam looked around the room and saw that Chris was there, he put a finger to his mouth and shushed her then very quietly he slipped into her empty bed, His body was covered with the soft sweet smelling blankets and he closed his eyes.

Baby Girl CM1399Christiana Martin Chris was alarmed for half a second, as she heard a soft pop that she had not seen coming. She smiled softly as she saw Sam shush her, and she nodded silently. He slid into her lilac colored sheets, and he smiled to herself, and grabbed a knitted blanket to keep him warm. Chris layed it softly over him, and kissed him softly on the head, before sliently sitting on the floor, next to the bed in her usual cross legged position. She had a book in front of her, but she concentrated more on her future than she did on the empty words. Chris knew Sam wouldn't want to be found here. It felt as if she was needed, and a warm and slightly fuzzy feeling took her by surprise.

~Eldest Daughter~ Joshana7777777777777JZ204677777777777ZackiaJZ made a face as Sam 'disappeared'. She reached down and picked up the note from Zack. A smile spread across her face. Sam could try to hide all he wanted...but JZ wasn't going to let him run away forever. She clutched the note in her hand and slowly walked back inside. She took her time going back to the dinning room...she had some quetions for Zack.

~Eldest Son~ Zack looked up as JZ made her way back in the room. "Care to join me? It could be a date if you wish. Only me and you anyway," he replied, half hopeful for some alone time with JZ, yet half upset that the whole family couldn't get together.

~Eldest Son~ Zack heard the slownes at which she put this question or statement together. He knew whatever it was, it was very important to her. He put his last taco down, he could finish it afterwards. "Yes JZ?" he asked, his right hand reached out to grasp her hand, hoping to support her by showing her that he was there for her. His eyes were focused on her and nothing could distract him, even if it wanted to. His eyes showed a caring warmth, a brotherly love, and something slightly more that the other siblings didn't get from him.

"What did you do to Sam? He was fine while I was talking to him but your note..." She placed the note gentlely on the table. "I don't know... He just left. I know our family has its share of problems but you don't think we're falling apart do you?"

~Eldest Son~ Zack shrugged. He didn't wish to reveal what had happened, unless Sam wanted him to. He didn't want to cause any more seperation than there already was. "I don't think we're falling apart. I think we just have our share of problems. Everything willl work out, alright? I want you to trust me on that," he asked of her. He wanted her to hope. Pessimism was infectious and highly spreadable. Same to be said about optimism. He wanted to spread the latter around.

A stong family...Zack? What do you think life will be like once we get out of here?" She always liked Zack's answers to her questions. He had an amazing imagination.

~Eldest Son~ Zack knew what they'd probably be doing, realistically. Fighting for every meal and working thier butt off to be 'normal'-ish. But she didn't want that, he could see it in her eyes. "Well... we'll find a nice house where we can live as a family around other people. We'll have neighbors and a creek near our house. We'll have new places to go, new things to try out. We'll be able to live independent, but also support each other. Imagine this..." he began, waiting until she closed her eyes. "We're listening to the soft rushing water in the creek over a few rocks. The sun is setting behind the soft green trees. My arm is wrapped gently around your waist as we enjoy the peace..." he stated. He softly got up while telling the story, and moved closer to her. "Then, I turn to you in all the peace, the afternoon bird's songs in our ear, and my hands will gently carress your cheeks before..." he let his hands follow his story's movements, "we share..." he got close enough for her to feel his breath, "A lovely..." he then kissed her gently, trying to take every bit of her breath away. He hoped the story and reality blend would push it to it's full extent of effect.
