What do we want to call ourselves, as denizens of Ulorbbath? An eglish language word? Ulorbbathites? Ulorbbathians? Lol
Or a drow word? Let's look at what Ulorbbath means in drow...
ul = suprme or ultra (definite translation)
orbb = spider (definite translation)
ath = shortened suffix indicating a place or location (<-- open to interpretation as it could indicate something else such as a specific institution rather than just a place)
Uss = one or individual... Uss del Ulorbbath = One of Ulorbbath
Ussen = Plural ones or individuals... Ussen del Ulorbbath = Individuals of Ulorbbath
That's unwieldy so possibilities for rearranging might be:
Ulorbbath'ussen...
Shortened to Orbbath'ussen (as "Ul"/supreme is implied already)
Other possibilities could arise from this process.
A completely different approach is to use the akh suffix when describing any band or group which is affiliated somehow (as opposed to a random mob).
Applied to a group hailing from Ulorbbath or a group of people entirely affiliated of and within Ulorbbath, you would simply say Ulorbbath'akh.
So after thinking this out, for the time being I submit three ways to refer to denizens of Ulorbbath using drow rather than english language...
1) Ulorbbath'akh
2) Ulorbbath'uss (singular) / Ulorbbath'ussen (plural)
3) d'Ulorbbath (singlular and plural same)
The last is simply a prepositional phrase (of Ulorbbath) which would used as an adjective in practice... it could be argued perhaps that a high drow would not deign to use this form of pidgen however, it would be eaily understood and useful otherwise. I would consider example number 3 the hillbilly of drow and probably also adopted into undercommon (which is an amalgamation trade language seeded by drow, goblinoid tongues and even some common).
So, enough of my TL;DR, these are just my thoughts, but if you find fault with them I won't be hurt, hehe. Just here to help and offer ideas for others to use as they see fit.
