I'm leaving for basic training Monday. I won't be back until next January. Helliouse is my heir, and thus she is in control of Ulorbbath and Rylinndar in my extended absence.

Until January, take care.~

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair.

Are we still...do the forest thing? Or is that on hold till January?

Man...I miss, Madame Quenthal. cry Things seemed to be moving with her here. The forum had a general atmosphere of possible evil deeds and energy.

To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.

Okay...so I have a question. Well, I have questions.
1. Where do all the other houses, those that aren't on the plateau?
2. Do nobles ever go in the city?
3. Is this thread still active?
4. When will the new threads be open?
5. Are we still choosing a name for the forest?

I do believe that I have some answers.
1.On other plateaus and at the bases of the larger houses.
2.Yes, depending on how fearful they are of being assassinated.
3.No idea.
4.No idea.
5.No idea.

That was my attempts at answers until Quenthal returns! I hope that will suffice.

Sorry. Not only does the Army own my soul right now, but I am dealing with some serious personal business.

1. All the noble houses live on the plateau, or in the side of it, and they live in that district. Someone could live on the island, but that is Rylinndar property...so....

2. Nobles go into the city all the time!

3. This thread is active as me, and I already explained why I'm being a horrible matron mother of the first house. :/

4. If I could get someone else to work on the other threads, basically come up with the idea yourself, type it up all fancy, run it by me, then that would be ******** great.
Just remember, Ulorbbath is a city of odd beauty.

5. We are still choosing a name for the forest.

What do we want to call ourselves, as denizens of Ulorbbath?

An eglish language word? Ulorbbathites? Ulorbbathians? Lol

Or a drow word? Let's look at what Ulorbbath means in drow...

ul = suprme or ultra (definite translation)
orbb = spider (definite translation)
ath = shortened suffix indicating a place or location (<-- open to interpretation as it could indicate something else such as a specific institution rather than just a place)

Uss = one or individual... Uss del Ulorbbath = One of Ulorbbath
Ussen = Plural ones or individuals... Ussen del Ulorbbath = Individuals of Ulorbbath

That's unwieldy so possibilities for rearranging might be:

Ulorbbath'ussen...

Shortened to Orbbath'ussen (as "Ul"/supreme is implied already)

Other possibilities could arise from this process.

A completely different approach is to use the akh suffix when describing any band or group which is affiliated somehow (as opposed to a random mob).

Applied to a group hailing from Ulorbbath or a group of people entirely affiliated of and within Ulorbbath, you would simply say Ulorbbath'akh.

So after thinking this out, for the time being I submit three ways to refer to denizens of Ulorbbath using drow rather than english language...

1) Ulorbbath'akh
2) Ulorbbath'uss (singular) / Ulorbbath'ussen (plural)
3) d'Ulorbbath (singlular and plural same)

The last is simply a prepositional phrase (of Ulorbbath) which would used as an adjective in practice... it could be argued perhaps that a high drow would not deign to use this form of pidgen however, it would be eaily understood and useful otherwise. I would consider example number 3 the hillbilly of drow and probably also adopted into undercommon (which is an amalgamation trade language seeded by drow, goblinoid tongues and even some common).

So, enough of my TL;DR, these are just my thoughts, but if you find fault with them I won't be hurt, hehe. Just here to help and offer ideas for others to use as they see fit.

But I think he is going in the right direction...despite the minor spelling mistakes. eglish=/=English, don't worry though we all make those when we rush.
