The FOX, which he yelled in his head, frowned as the angel walked away from him. He wasn't an animal! Hell, he didn't even smell like one! more like he just owned one, actually...but that was besides the point. "You know, that's actually pretty 'demeaning' for someone who's here to 'help' you...know..." He trailed off, his ears catching the song, and he would've backed up a step if he hadn't been paralyzed by the fear. Like a fox in headlights. He was doomed. Especially when that guy...that thing popped into exsistance. He smelled like a storm front, minus the moisture, and that same spice-like smell that the 'oni' girl had, except stronger. Strong enough to make him sneeze once till he got used to it. Was he another Oni? What was he? Why did he seem to what to eat Thea? And why the hell was he rooted to the spot? Oh, yeah, fear. That'll make ya stupid.

.Thea. Thea couldn't hold her serious expression for long as Sinopa responded. She broke into a smile, and even began to laugh, letting the 'puppy' know it had all been a joke. Honestly, she was surprised he hadn't seen it as one; must be a sensitive spot. Before she could offer a further explanation to Sinopa, he trailed off, obviously having heard something. She heard it to. It seemed to be coming from the left... a distant, but slowly approaching, something. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, to both the song and the fact that whoever was singing it simply wasn't there. Still, it seemed strangely familiar, and a feeling of apprehension was rapidly building in her heart. The lights were dimming, and brightening again, marking a path of sorts as the voice grew louder. Her eyes narrowed, the answer on the tip of her tongue, but not willing to come yet. She knew, oh the information was in there, but it was so improbable it just refused to register. She was drawing a blank. "Sino... we should get out of here," she said, but that wasn't right. The fear was there again. What she should have said was, 'Sino, you should get out of here.' It was a moot point anyway; the moment she said it, the lights went out, and utter blackness enveloped them. She shrunk back in a very un-angel like way, but got a hold of herself quickly enough, changing it into a weak defensive position. Fear was awful, fear was new, and fear was not helping her right now. Why was this so familiar? The lights flashed back on, and had she not been an Angel, and born of the light, she might have been temporarily blinded by their sudden brightness. More shocking to her was the person standing in front of her. No.
Not person.
Demon. Shock was an understatement. A vision from a long distant past was standing before her, and it was not a pleasant memory. She opened her mouth to say something, but only one word fell from her lips. "Xanatos."Action was desperately needed, but she was simply stunned. Perhaps by a combination of shock and fear. It's better to light a candle Than to curse the darkness.

Ϣeather is a great metaphor for life - sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella. ~Pepper Giardino ѴȺϒȖ Current Mood: ☀ Current Theme Song: The Butterfly { ooc: Thanks again Miss Psalm and Mr. Aldrick! <3 I might go to bed after this. I think I contracted a rather nasty cold from my brother and it's wearing me down... @Sory: The song made me lawl so hard. xDD} Ѵayu continued to move forward, his steps slow and deliberate as he trekked forward. One hand moved to his stomach as it gave a growl of protest from the apparent torture and abuse the demon was giving him, the other running through his hair which was as disobedient as his stomach was currently being. Apparently because gravity never held down the demon, it shouldn't hold down his hair, either. Soon enough, the sounds of mumbling caught his ear, like...muddled speech, almost. Stopping where he was and looking down with a surprised raised eyebrow, the demon stared at his stomach, moving his hand away from it and bending over slightly, bringing his head as close to his stomach as possible. "Now ya fall silent. Just when I think I'm hearin' things. Pah! I never needed you anyways, you only made me lag." Yes, he was talking to his stomach. Why? Because his stomach was supposedly talking to him! He could have sworn that he heard voices (and with hearing like that, it wasn't too surprising), and he was going to follow his gut (ha ha...get it?) instinct. Imagine his mild surprise when he heard voices again. Well, whatever they were, they sure as hell weren't coming from his stomach. No matter how hungry he was, he knew it would be a silly idea of his stomach could talk.
Standing still, the wind demon closed his eyes, inhaling deeply, calming his nerves and blocking out the need of his stomach. His shirt, tie, pants, and hair swayed ever so slightly in a gentle wind that picked up around him. His face was peaceful and serene as he concentrated, the whispers of the wind speaking sweet nothings in his ears. How he missed this sound. This sweet, sweet sound.
"...it's all me." "Hmph. Heel, puppy."
The demon opened his eyes, snapping at his discovery. "I knew I wasn't going insane." Now that his stomach was out of the main picture (rather, at the back of his mind), he could focus on what was going on. With a light spring on his step, the demon followed his nose and senses, more or less feeling for whoever might be there (and listening, of course). It didn't take long for him to pinpoint the nearest scent, and what an odd one it was! Was it an animal? A human? No...not quite human, yet...it wasn't a demon. "Most peculiar indeed! ...Heh. Can't wait to uncover it." His steps began to quicken slightly as he got closer to the scent. Closer to uncovering who or whatever these beings were. It took a while for him to get past the scent of the animal demon (for that was he was referring to the creature as, right now) and locking on to yet another scent. Female, yes, just as the animal was male. He didn't smell anything sexual, so either they were friends or...just strangers traveling together. Hm.
He was about to round the corner when, lo' and behold, the lights went out. "Whoever monitors this place doesn't do too good of a job on it," he mumbled, shaking his head and letting his eyes quickly adjust to the lack of lighting. Of course, right as his eyes adjusted to the darkness, the lights were brought back up at a blinding rate, causing him to close his eyes, letting out a gasp of pain as the lights seared his eyes. Hands over his eyes, the demon slowly moved them away, blinking back tears as white filled his vision, finally giving way to the hallway he was standing in. The hairs on the back of his neck began to rise gently, the cackle of electricity filled his ears, his muscles tensing and relaxing. After a few moments, a wide grin appeared on his features, his fangs fully visible. That energy! He could jump up in the air in excitement as he felt that energy!
How long had it been since he fought?! Too long. Too long indeed! His mind was jumping around with excitement, his hands clenching and un-clenching in fists as he stood there. He could jump out there and...!
"Sino...we should get out of here."
That voice brought him back to reality. He wasn't apart of this battle, sadly enough. The full blown smile died down, going to curious as he stepped around the corner and leaned against the wall (currently positioned behind the man and woman). It might not be his fight, but that didn't mean he couldn't watch. And what a scene he happened upon! The odd scented male and female were like statues in the hallway, while the man with the electric power seemed completely content with whatever was going on. Hell, the guy was even singing. He seemed as demented as they came, which was nothing new to the demon at all, honestly. In fact, someone who had an optimistic outlook on fighting was good in his book (he categorized singing as optimistic, especially a song like that). Oh, and look! The woman and the man knew one another! This was going to be interesting. For the moment, he wasn't going to say anything. He didn't want to interrupt whatever was going on. Whether the lightning man wanted to point him out, that was fine, but for the moment, he was going to relax, arms crossed over his chest, and watch with a pleasant smile.

"It's all taboo, but I love what I do~" "Sera, Sera, Sera~" the daemon said, grinning as he did, saying the name with an almost friendly familiarity. He held his arms out, as if expecting a hug or embrace, though he knew such an event wouldn't occur. "It's been far too long, dear, far, far too long. And to find you here! It must be the work of God, hmm?"
As he spoke, one might have thought he was truly over-joyed at Thea's presence; however, there was a volatile undertone, with a venom that seemed especially prevalent on that ringing last word he said.
"You seem more petite than last time. Did you do something to your hair?" he asked, tilting his head to the side lightly. "Or maybe it's the fact that you seem so... mortal. Trying to blend in... silly, silly Sera. Or are you calling yourself something different nowadays like me? I'd hoped that would catch on. I do so love the old tongue, but sometimes it just gets... well, old!"
He giggled lightly, crossing his arms over his chest as if to control the laughter."I'll shred you at once~""The way I did once upon~ a~ dream~"

...Oh. s**t. I'm sooooooooooo screwed.Sino sat there, frozen to the spot, staring at this new male and Thea. Why was he calling her 'Sera'? What 'old tongues'? 'Mortal'? WHAT THE HELL WAS GOING ON?! But, even with all these questions, with all this fear, that paralysis melted away into instinct. Though he didn't move still. Movement meant drawing attention. You did NOT draw attention to yourself when something seemed ready to kill on a whim. Especially when it seems like they haven't even spotted you when you're in plain sight.

.Thea. So very mortal. He cut a cord there, and both of them were well aware of it. Old rivals, neither ever able to actually defeat the other, she had diminished in glory -purposefully, she might add- whereas his power and strength hadn't left him. A full fledged demon, Xanatos could have easily killed her when she was just standing there, dumbfounded by his appearance. He always did like to toy with his prey... "I do seem far more mortal, don't I?" she said, stopping her train of thought right then and there. "Why, not even a second ago I was thinking of all the ways you'd like to kill me, and how helpless I'd be to stop you. Very unprofessional of me."You couldn't force this kind of honesty from a drunken man. Like the hug, she ignored his request for her new name. "But you may not," she continued. Was she ordering around a demon? This demon? "I'm in the middle of something. A great... project. I'm afraid I won't allow you to interfere."She hadn't even noticed the presence of another demon behind her. She had trouble enough with Xanatos. There was no way she honestly believed she was any match for him, but the entire point of Angels was they never, truly, fought alone. Giving up, thinking mortal thoughts, was truly a human thing to do, and she would not cave in to a defeatist attitude. If you think you're going to die before the fighting has even begun, then, well, you're dead already. Thus, as she spoke, she began to gather the energy in her hand, a sword of ice forming slowly; the powers were new, however, and the appearance of the thing might have been, shall we say, less than perfect. It's better to light a candle Than to curse the darkness.

"It's all taboo, but I love what I do~" "Ooooh, she won't allow me~" Xanatos jeered, continuing to giggle, finally turning his gaze to Sinopa. Some sort of bestial creature in human form, that much was obvious from his scent. She was traveling with him, so the two were allies, perhaps even friends. The male seemed rather fit, downright luscious, just like Seraphim. What interested Xanatos more, however, was what the once-angel summoned to her hand.
A blade of... ice.
His grin faltered for a moment, if even that long, before returning to its rightful place on his features. Ice. She'd never shown the ability to use ice. Quite the contrary, he knew that before she wasn't made to use ice. And yet, here she was. Using ice.
It's still just water.
"So, is this little treat your 'project'?" he asked, leaning forward toward Sinopa with an air of confidence... or arrogance, depending on your connotation. He showed no hostility, but was clearly not 'friendly' either. "I didn't think you one for the more carnal desires, Sera, but at least you picked a good one; he looks downright... scrumptious.""I'll shred you at once~""The way I did once upon~ a~ dream~"

Sinopa wasn't stupid. He feared this 'Xanatos', especially when he looked at him. But submission wasn't an option, he felt. Submission made him feel like he could've been food. That 'scrumptious' didn't help matters. Well, agression wasn't his favorite choice, but it was better than doing nothing. Scowling, a low rumble of a growl reverberated in his chest. Human-sounding, but still a growl. Of course, this was more just the feeling of being cornered. The man appeared out of nowhere, after all. Running couldn't have been an option if he could do that.

Ϣeather is a great metaphor for life - sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella. ~Pepper Giardino ѴȺϒȖ Current Mood: ☀ Current Theme Song: The Butterfly { ooc: My voice is going away, making me sound like a boy going through puberty.} ʘh, ho, ho! This was guaranteed to be interesting! It was almost something out of a storybook, really. Two creatures meet after many years (it seemed), drawing out to a confrontation. Whether or not they had once been friends, the wind demon did not know, but he liked to assume they were. Stories were much more interesting when the best of friends turned to bitter enemies. The bad guy would be alone, most of the time, as this lightning man seemed to be. The good person almost always had a type of sidekick, which was amusing because it seemed that way to Vayu, currently. A sidekick who looked as if they knew next to nothing on what was going on. Ha! New friend doesn't realize that their friend has an old friend now turned enemy! Confusing or not, it sounded absolutely entertaining. And here, he had front row seats. Of course, the thought of him and only him being here made him feel...out of place. What right did he have in being here? This wasn't his fight, and he didn't honestly care if he was alone or not, so...why was he here?
Oh, the fact that blood and fighting attracted any and all sorts of demons could be the reason.
Moving his soft red eyes to the oddly scented man, the demon stared. The smell of fear was thick in the air, radiating off the two 'good guys' (as Vayu deemed them). He was stiff, much like someone would be when they had the fight or flight instinct and chose the latter. Or...almost like an animal ready to pounce should the need arrive. Hm...WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS HE?! It was driving the demon insane! He didn't smell normal, but the demon could have sworn he had run into someone like the guy before! Why was his memory lagging? Was his nose no longer what it used to be? Whoever bound him really needed to die (what he didn't realize was that they were probably already long dead) for what they had done to him.
His thoughts were interrupted by the odd growl coming from the man. Almost as if he was an animal. No. Vayu shook his head. The scent was probably from the feathers the man wore. They were coated in the guys scent, of course, but they could still have remnants of the being that they once belonged to. The demon had his mind set on the fact that the man with the bandanna was a human who only smelt like a...thing, because of the feathers on him. So, the growl the human made wasn't an animal growl, he only thought he was an animal (purely Vayu's assumption, now). Silly human.
Oh well, so long as it made the story interesting. Still resting on the wall, he continued to watch, turning his focus on the woman and her odd scent. 'Zeus' had spoken to the woman as if being mortal was odd (which it was, honestly). The woman countered with her own statement of her seeming mortal. Apparently she wasn't.
Wait...what?
By now, Vayu was as confused as can be, but...also excited. Never had he ever wanted to find out more answers and uncover more truths as he did currently. Well...that was a lie, but since waking up, he had never wanted information this badly. Oh, he hoped the two lived so that he could personally find out!

.Thea. Her eyes hardened, ice cold, daring him to test her, to start the fight that was surely inevitable- and he jeered at her, giggled, and basically ignored her, as if she was hardly a threat anymore. If she was to be honest with herself, that was a rather accurate assessment. Especially now that her abilities were altered. Water had been turned to ice, and she had not had enough time to explore it fully, like she was planning to do when she made the first arrow mark to indicate where they were going. But he didn't know that. For all he knew, she was a veteran at this, like she had been with water... actually, he might be surprised to see this new development. Was that surprise? She couldn't be sure. "Hey!" Thea said, suddenly defensive of Sinopa. Very, very, defensive, it seemed. She positioned herself between them, pointing her sword at the hellion. "Stop leering at him. He's mine," she caught herself there, "I mean, he's my friend, uh, acquaintance... and it's not carnal! I will never be carnal. Get your mind out of the gutter." One would think by her stammering she was hiding her true feelings for the man. It was kind of like she was talking to herself. This outburst was followed by a look of confusion, as she wondered at the words that had just come out of her mouth. Did she really just say that? It's better to light a candle Than to curse the darkness.

"It's all taboo, but I love what I do~" The white-haired hellion could only chuckle as the male attempted to growl. How bestial! Oh, he would so love to play with this toy. It'd been so long since he had fun with an animal daemon. However, Thea immediately stepped in between the two, once again, causing Xanatos to giggle childishly.
"Somebody's defensive~" he said, shaking his index finger at the blue-haired angel. "What is it they say? Something about a guilty conscience? And my, the way you claimed him, I'd swear I'd rubbed off on you- oh, and how I would so love to rub off on you..."
As his voice trailed off, he continued to stare at Sinopa (or, rather, where the fox-thing would be if Thea hadn't jumped in), an amused look twisting his features slightly.
"You hear that? She wants you to herself- with a body like that, how could I blame her?" he said, smirking. "The things that could be done to such a thing... and some of you wondered why I chose to fall in the first place. Silly, silly Sera..." "I'll shred you at once~""The way I did once upon~ a~ dream~"

........Wait. What?!It took a moment for Sinopa's mind to wrap around what was actually being implied. And him being food was sooooo not what was being implied, he had a feeling. Of course, with them fighting over him, he felt horrified, but at the same time...he felt the tiniest bit flattered that something that 'fell' and something that apparently hadn't were fighting over his 'body' apparently. Or...something. Hell, as scared as he was, the shapeshifter was EXTREMELY confused with what was going on. Confused enough to stop the growl and just stare, cocking his head to the side like any animal would. Just what the hell was going on in this place, what the hell was that 'Xanatos', what was Thea, and why was he trapped in the middle of it all?

.Thea. Sinopa was oddly silent in response, and as her back was to him she had to turn her head to see him. He was wearing the most adorable puppy like expression, a canine "Oro?" look, head cocked to the side, staring. She didn't dare move any further, not wanting to give any ground to Xanatos. Her sword, crude though it may be, was sharp enough, and pointed steadily at the demon's face. She could look down it's length to see his still smiling features, an amused look as he switched his gaze from her to the person behind her. He was not going to just leave them alone. She nearly scoffed at the thought. Of course he wouldn't leave them alone! He was Xanatos, to call him by one of his more recent names. The hellion was in paradise now, two people to toy with in this the most unhospitible of settings. It made her wonder how he got here- surely he wasn't behind it all? The thought didn't seem to fit. He wasn't organized enough for something like this. No, he was just himself, and knowing him, well... Her bangs fell over her eyes in a fashion much like his, and the temperature of the hallway grew increasingly colder. Xanatos would be able to use them as play toys over her dead body. It's better to light a candle Than to curse the darkness.

It had to be a dream. There was no possible way that a girl who hardly left her room could have ended up on some horror movie set. It just wasn't feasible. She didn't remember driving, or walking, or running. She didn't even remember leaving her room. So how was it that she'd woken up in a completely foreign one? Perhaps it was another form of therapy... No, that didn't make sense. This place was more dreary than her natural habitat, so how could that possibly help?
The purple haired girl heaved a sigh as she rolled from her cot, placed bare feet upon the ground, and trudged off. Her hair was bed-tossed, entwined with white ribbons that seemed almost tangled at this point. Her clothing consisted of pajamas. The tank top was a soft purple color, picturing a cloud with a pouting frown upon the front. The fuzzy pants were darker but matching, printed with repeating patterns of the same clouds, with each making a different expression. They seemed a little too big, almost hiding her feet from view as she trudged along.
She moved aimlessly, her pace sluggish, almost zombie-like. Her expression remained void of emotion, not even fear showing in her dull eyes. She simply gazed at the floor as she shuffled forward, turning down passageways and moving past doorways, never once bothering to peek inside. Not a thought seemed to be inside her head. Her feet just moved again and again, dragging over the dirty ground. She didn't even bother to fully lift them.

"It's all taboo, but I love what I do~" "What? No witty retort? No scathing response?" Xanatos questioned, pulling his head back lightly as if shocked, tilting it to the side as if to emphasize it. The movement of his bangs revealed one of his crimson eyes, piercing and gleaming in what could only be considered predatory satisfaction.
"Perhaps I've hit the nail on the head... oh, you dirty, dirty little girl! So that's why you're so drained!" he said, grinning, honestly, genuinely pleased. "You've fallen, too, haven't you? Forsaken by the one you held so dear mere decades, centuries ago!"
There was a loud crack and an insane flash of light, followed by a heavy release of static electricity. In that split second, the demon had moved from his spot to directly beside her, facing behind her, shoulder to shoulder with the blue-haired enigma.
"You're just like me now, aren't you?" he whispered, his tone suddenly quiet, solemn... mature... sadistic. "You can't even stand the thought of that, can you? To be damned by God for having your own desires, banished because all you wanted was a little free will. And so now, you plan on taking it out on this poor, innocent creature... I've rubbed off on you.""I'll shred you at once~""The way I did once upon~ a~ dream~"
