 Tanto Being a bit skeptical of the boy's claim Tanto took a closer look at the clues that the mist genin presented and sure enough found them to not be enough to confirm Sand as the host. “You are ******** wrong. I'm not going to tell you where but with these clues there are still three countries left, you need to narrow it down to one and go to that village's kage.” Tanto looked squarely at the boy and motioned for him to leave, not having enough information to back up a claim could lead to the attack of an innocent village.

 _I'm Hanjin Tatsumaki.You might have a stacked deck... But I've got the Ace of Blades. Hanjin blinked at the Kazekage, shielding himself from the verbal outburst. "Oh... all right..."
He gave his best optimistic smile and padded out of the office, a bit crestfallen but nowhere near completely deflated. "At least I wasn't disqualified or something..." he murmured, leaving for the village gate in an attempt to find some peer assistance.

 TATSUYA MIYAKI See the lightning in your eyes...
Knocking lightly on the Kazekage's door Tatsuya was a bit hesitant and afraid, he had heard the small outburst he gave the last boy for not having enough information. "Uhhm... Sir? I think I have it narrowed down to the Wind country, more specifically around the borders..." The small cloud genin scooted across the floor, afraid to get close to the Kazekage, not wanting to get his head bit off for messing up. As he approached the desk he placed his own map on top of the man's paperwork face down showing all the clues he had been able to gather with his team.
1. Not within 50 miles of the coast - Raikage
2. Not in Takigakure – Takikage
3. Not in a minor village – Shidou
4. Somewhere south of Kumogakure - Kyou from Kazekage
5. Somewhere west of the Hokage’s Office - Hokage
6. Not hosting the Exams in Stone – Tsukiko from Iwagakure
7. They are west of the Land of Rice – Tsukiko from Iwagakure
8. Depending on where you live, you're going to have to travel way the hell out there, or it'll be right next door. It's not exactly 'en route' to anywhere –Tsukiko from Iwagakure
9. Climates that aren't like Stone –Tsukiko from Iwagakure
10. Being held by one of the five great shinobi villages – Tsukiko from Ichi from Sunagakure
11. Near the border of a country – Tsukiko from Ichi from Sunagakure
12. Somewhere west of the Land of Waves – Tsukiko from Ichi from Sunagakure

Tanto Another one? And this one was smaller than the last, he would have to yell at another so soon? "Are you su- fifteen... Wow, you... " Tanto was actually amazed, from the looks of it this kid had clues from five different villages, with only visiting a few. "Looks like you did good kid, a couple repeats but you got it narrowed down to the Land of Wind. Here you go." Tanto took a moment to take note of the boy, "what's yer name?" Asked the Kazekage as he pulled a map from his drawer and handed it to the boy, a single red dot on a massive piece of paper showed the exact spot of the exams.

Tatsuya gave a slight bow before taking the new map and retrieving his own. "Thank you, my name is Tatsuya Miyaki from Kumogakure." The cloud ninja showed a little bit of confidence seeing how the man at least looked a bit amazed at his feat. Though, he was sure that he wasn't the first to make it this far and thus still had a long ways to go. Tatsuya paused a bit before walking out of the office and looked at the new map. It was indeed where he thought it was. Perfect, after all was done the Miyaki was out of the office and running back to the gate to relay the information to Tsukiko and the rest of his temporary team.
See them running for their lives...

◄ Ҥᾳʀΰʞᾱ ¤ Ҟᾴɱєɨ ► Cut off all affiliations with people  As Haruka walked about the strange and unfamiliar halls, she heard some talking from a room in front of her. Hopefully, this is the Kazekage's office, thought she, striding over to the door and knocking on it loudly to make sure whoever was inside heard her. She hoped she had enough clues, although she also hoped that she could give her reasoning as to how she got here. It's not like one can live on clues alone. One must also think for oneself whenever possible necessary. And maybe you'll learn to come home on time...

Tanto The Kazekage slowly raised his head high enough from his paperwork to pop the vertebrate that made up his neck. Seriously, he needed to find a way to compensate for all the sand genin taking the chunin exams, why'd so many have to qualify? It just made missions a s**t ton harder to plan and hand out. "Please enter, thanks for knocking and not barging in." Tanto was already stressed out and he didn't need random people just running in unannounced.

I, as you probably know, am here to present my clues as to where the chunin exams are to be held. I would like to present my clues, and also some of my own logic behind how I figured that it was taking place in the Land of Wind." She really did want to explain how she pieced the puzzle of clues together so she could move on and not just run around like a headless chicken in search for more clues. She didn't doubt that the Kazekage had rejected some genin; she hoped she wouldn't be one of them. And maybe you'll learn to come home on time...

Tanto Personal logic? He HAD to hear this. "Okay, try to convince me that the exams are being held in the Land of Wind." He was more so not wanting to get back to his work and didn't mind entertaining or humoring the girl. Odds were she wasn't going to make him believe it, but... the more time that was wasted the better.

"I'll say the order of the clues in chronological order.
1) The Mizukage... doesn't really see eye-to-eye with the kage of the village of the country. This clue didn't really help me since I know nothing about the personalities of the kages. However, it did mean that it couldn't be in the Land of Water because I doubt that the Mizukage doesn't like herself. (Mizukage)
2) The exams are being held in one of the great five shinobi nations. That meant it was either in Water, Lightning, Fire, Earth, or Wind. Mist, because of the first clue, is out. (Mizukage's assistant)
3) Think heat. This clue narrowed the countries down because the Land of Snow obviously wouldn't be warm, and Lightning and Earth are not known for being particularly warm countries. Water is already out, and all I could think for the countries is Fire and Wind. Fire for the name, and Wind because it's mostly if not completely a desert. (Kiri sensei Madoka)
4) The nation is the one of the farthest West. The countries that are farthest West are Wind and Earth. However, Earth was already eliminated with the previous clue. (Kiri genin Layla)
5) Its borders extend farther South than the Mist. The only two countries that extend father South than Kiri are Wind and Fire, the latter of which was eliminated with clue #4. (also Kiri genin Layla)"
The entire time, Haruka kept her voice cool and level, keeping a steady pace. She wanted to make sure the Kazekage heard every word she said, and the steps she took in between the clues she received. And now, to wait for a go/no-go response. she thought, grasping her fingers behind her back but on top of her pack so that they were clutching her elbows.
And maybe you'll learn to come home on time...

Tanto The kazekage scanned the clues and checked them on the map that he was using for this. "It looks like you have enough to narrow it down enough. Congratulations, you've passed the first round. Follow the directions on this map to the site of the finish line." With that Tanto handed the girl the map and wrote her name down, qualifying her for the next round.

"Thank you, Kazekage-sama," she spoke, trying not to sound too sweet--she normally didn't thank people since she was never near enough people.
Bowing once again, she left the office and headed to the village gate. And maybe you'll learn to come home on time...

Layla Takemoto "Never give up."
Layla didn't really know her way around Suna but being able to precise chakra as well as she could she danced her way down the streets like she had lived there her whole life. She did get turned around once but quickly righted herself, making her way to the Kazekage's office.
Entering the foreign building her dance became less elaborate, but none the less present. Coming to a sweeping stop stop she knocked on the door three times, the sound itself seemed to convey her excitement.
"Never give in."

Tanto "Come in." Tanto called out, he should just leave the door open, he wasn't used to so many people coming and going like this. It might have been the whole chunin exam thing, or maybe it could be the other things in Sand. No one could tell what was going on in that man's head.

Layla Takemoto "Never give up."
Layla opened the door and twirled into the office, not particularly caring that she was in front of the Kasekage as she did so. Spinning to a graceful stop before his desk she smiled at him with an exuberant smile. Her sheer excitement seemed to radiate from her like waves. For a ninja from the mist she was one overly happy girl. "I'm here for the Chunin exams." The blind ninja said with a note of confidence in her giddy words.
"Never give in."
