The Togekiss and Azumarill stepped into the busy diner. It was packed, for the most part. Most of the tables had been taken and filled to the brim. There wasn't a table untouched, though a few weren't filled. "Mmm, it seems the Diner is full."

William shook his head. "Nonsense. I'm sure someone would be willing to share a table with us." He floated forward, his body easily taking him above the busy waiters. He ignored (or simply wasn't aware) of her exasperated expression as he floated over to a table with an Elekid and Swablu sitting at it. "Excuse me, but are these seats taken?"

((I hope you don't mind! It doesn't seem like you have anyone coming, so I thought I'd step in.))

William waved over a somewhat embarrassed Azumarill. She clearly would have been happier to simply leave and head for another restaurant, but now that he had managed to get them a table it would be rude to leave. "Thank you for letting us sit with you." Lia pulled the two chairs out slightly and sat on her own.

William glanced towards the menu at the front of the shop before settling down on the chair that had been pulled out for him. His small feet weren't any good for walking, but he could use them well enough to sit down. The small bell that hung around his neck let off a delightful tone as it shook. "Actually, I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit this is my first time here... I haven't the faintest what the menu is like." He smiled apologetically. "Sorry about that."

It was much to the group's convenience when a small Snorunt waiter came forward. Seeing the table seated fully, he likely assumed that they were ready to order or waiting for service. "Good evening. My name is Markham, how may I help you today?"

William smiled politely at the waiter. "Good evening, Markham. We were actually trying to decide what to order; I'm afraid this is our first time here. Do you have any recommendations?" The small Snorunt nodded and began to methodically list off a number of dishes. One caught his ear. "Ah, yes. The vegetarian special. That would be perfect for me... I believe my friend as well. Lia?" Lia's eyes flickered back open from their half-asleep state to give a smile and a nod. "Then, two vegetarian specials for the Azumarill and I." He gave another polite smile to the waiter who scribbled down the order and another in turn to Lia. This was the first chance she had gotten for a break; Laura had finally agreed to watch Albus passively. He had hoped she would sleep for a few hours, but... giving her time to relax would be beneficial as well. She had been awake at all hours of the night for the past few weeks; she'd hardly had time to sleep.

The small Snorunt turned to the other half of the table. From how they acted, they were likely to order separately. "And you, sir? Madam?"
