Samson shook his head and merely smiled as she practically skipped up the stairs, sighing a bit as he tried to thin of osmething good. Really he was having terrible troublewith all of this. He didnt know how to live his own life. Though everytime he considered turning around and getting it all back, he thought of Kity and the thoughts disappeared...

so really all he was doing was playing it all by ear.

Jess had numbly made her way out of Alex's apartment building. She called a cab and was utterly emotionless the whole way back to the shop, except for a single tea running down her makeupstained face.

She wasnt...upset with him...she didnt really know what she was feeling. She just told herself that a good nights sleep would make everything make sense...or at least she hoped.

She hoped Sam wouldn't be at the shop with Kitty when she got there, after all she had told them she planned on having a long night so Kitty was free to do whatever...though she desperately hoped her friend was home to meet her...

The two new love birds had been doing rather well, taking it slow and easy, mostly jsut meeting for coffee... Samson was working apparantly on a new job a friend had gotten him in driving limos for the upper class. Hekindof hated being on the opposite end of the spectrum foronce but knew it was a living. He hadnt much time to talk with Kitty like he wanted...personally and one on one...but he hoped that would change soon.

Though not tonightit seemed, for he had planneda romantic dinner for the two, though ended up being called in for work to drive for some hoitey toitey event at the ballroom. Kitty understood though he still felt bad, sending her roses in his place.


So thankfully for Jess. he wasnt there when she arrived. She paid the cab driver and numbly got out, making her way up to Kitty's apartment without a word. She got in the door, dropped her bag and made her way into the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea, looking an absolute mess.

Jess furrowed her brow, silent for a moment longer before bursting out, all her emotion flooding back. "He found out about my late nights, got upset, we fought and yelled and-" She stopped herself, calming down before turning to finish her tea.

"....He said...he loved me...." She added softly, her back to Kitty.

Jess shook her head,leaning over the counter, rubbing her neck. "I ...dont know...he said it so...casually, and then we both just kind of...panicked...and both kind of just..ran away...." She swallowed and took a few deep breaths.

"I dont know why-..." She furrowed her brow, turning to kitty.

"...I havent told him about the divorce yet..." She added to the delima, eyes downcast and hurt. "I should've just avoided this fight and this awkwardness by telling him from the begining..." She rubbed her face tiredly.

"If he's not avoiding me...." She sighed, though thought about it for a bit.

"...Though...you're right...Yea I'll...I'll go see him tomorrow...and we'll iron this all out..." She swallowedand nodded, catching her friend in a hug. "Thanks Kitty...I just need someone to talk some sense into me when all I want to do is run away..." She pulled back an embarassed smile on her face.

"...And I dont even know why I'd want to run away from this...from him..." She swallowed and bit her lip, fighting tears. "Because I love him too...." Her eyes fell to the floor, happy yet with an undertone of sadness, mostlikely from this entire situation.

"...Though I need a shower foremost...then sleep...and I'll 'think about it tommorrow'..." She smirked a little, quoting one of her favorite books as she dried her eyes a bit.

The next morning, Jess awoke, feeling as if she had been dead asleep yet hardly slept at all, all at the same time.

She quickly got dressed, making herself as presentable as she could, also making herself up a bit.

"Wish me luck..." She told kitty, a nervous, solemn look on her face, though somewhere in her eyes was a little sparkle of excitement and anticipation.

She pushed out the door hurriedly, almost knocking over Samson who came in as she left.

"Woah- someone's in a hurry...." He noted with a chuckle, coming in carrying two togo cups of coffee. "Goodmorning," He smiled to Kitty, holding one out for her.

Samson sighed and rubbed his face tiredly. It looked like he hadnt gotten the chance to shave that morning. "Late....I dont even remember if I ever got to sleep.." He chuckled, taking a long sip of coffee. "I'm sorry again about missing our date..."

"Nah...I'm good..." He smiled through his tiredness and kissed her sweetly. "I'd much rather spend time with you..." Henuzzled her gently before stretching again.

"...Though...It does sound tempting...maybe in a bit I will...I've got another late nighter nad tommorrow off..." He smiled. "So maybe you and I can get together or go out or soemthing..." He shrugged really hoping to just get the chance to talk to her.
