"I, uh ..." The Overseer floundered for words while his mouth hung open uselessly, not knowing where to even start to reply to the long speech Harata made. But he was catching on quicker now, understanding more of his role with each interaction, "Do not think your lies and deception will win me over, sinner! You speak with your own interests in mind."

He closed his mouth, his expression grim. All that talk from Harata had him playing defensively, shutting himself off from her while he tried to process the implications. Frustrated, he shook the clam at her menacingly. Immediately realizing his actions, he yelped and looked sorry for it, cradling and petting the bivalve in his hands. But while he stroked the slimy gray shell, that was when he had another idea, swinging back to the offensive at the drop of a hat.

Suddenly the Overseer threw the clam hard, aimed at Harata's head. He counted on catching her flatfooted since she was sitting, and he rushed across the sand. By far no combat specialist, but betting it all on a surprise attack, he leaped at her in attempts to pin her to the ground.

Harata simply dodged his attack.
"What is this? What have I done? Simply stated a fact. Of course I'm in it for me. But for me to survive, the world need's to first. We need balance, order, and for you not to swing out blindly. You realize anger messes up you attacking? It might make you more powerful, but less aimed and focused."
Then he hit her, trying to pin her down. She kicked him in the groin. "Now, what will that solve. I didn't want to do that, you know." She smiled slightly. "Though I won't say that didn't feel good. Now, would you like to talk, or do you really want to fight me. A man is only as strong as the power he holds, the mind he has, and the body and weapons he welds. I do not wish to win you over. I wish to learn about you, about the past, and about the enemy I went into war against, with out knowing why."
She stretched suddenly, pulling off her overshirt, to reveal a wrapped chest, and long gash down her side. "There is no one I could tell who would harm you. After you and the Sentinel dissappeared, things got more than a little crazy. I believe I unity through chaos, that without you, the Sentinel could not survive, and vise versa. They, that is, the ones who took over after She left, did not like that. The caught me trying to help some captives to escape. They did not survive, or else were thrown into the sea, away from any help I could of given. I was left with this cut, which neither gets worse or heals, simply drains. Now tell me, do you truly believe I am working for myself alone? Do you really want to fight me?"
She said the last quietly, yet with great strength behind her words.

Harata looked at him. "Well, don't just lie there gawking."
((Well, he made me.)))

Harata laughed, and yelled after him. "Run away from me if you want, but that forest is filled with posion ivy. I wouldn't go there." Realizing he couldn't hear, or understand her, she got up, ran infront of the silly creature, and tried to herd him away from the forest. "Honestly. I didn't kick you that hard. Men."

"I know what poison ivy looks like!" He said in horror, the first thing that came out of his mouth when he spotted Harata in front of him. Skidding, he quickly changed directions in a panic, going left and thinking she was going to attack him. Nevermind all her reassurance she wasn't going to harm him, but it was a tad difficult to believe after taking a shot to the crotch.

He checked on the clam in his hand, a quick glance while he ran. It still looked fine, as it was before. He sighed inwardly, and thought, you can really never tell with clams ...

"And there's an angry clam worshipper coming towards you. I won't harm you. Really." Then she re-stated what she had said whilst he was down on the ground. "Is your...uh...trident okay?"
