Runaway Dragon
Winging through the sky, a black dragon would normally look feirce and dominant but this particular black dragon was flying perhaps a bit too fast...something almost desperate in his flight as if running away from something. But what would a dragon, one as proud and defiant as Keir try to get away from? Upon his proud face lay several small gashes, nothing serious, not even deep...in fact the wound barely even bled. As if something had ruffled his scales the black was flying erratically and in no particular direction. That soon changed as he spotted the home that belonged to ...Geia...and his dumb frost dragon. Snorting he was about to fly past when he recalled another dragon that also inhabited this place a certain spit-fire of a wyvern named Baroness. Now perhaps it was his pride was hurt...or he actually longed for companionship (the latter seeming far less likely), but he soon found himself winging down towards the home and settling in the back yard. Hackles raised his head dropped low as if anticipating an attack. Knowing that Wyvern he could never be too careful.
Lounging on the deck that she had long ago claimed as her own the wyvern's eyes slid open when she heard the sound of wing beats, scented the very last dragon in the world she was expecting, and then have a little snorting sound as she pushed up onto her back legs to turned her golden eyes over toward where he stood. What in the seven levels of Hell was he doing here? Surely he knew nothing, nobody did, right? Another snort escaped from her as she mentally reassured herself that there was nothing to worry about, that one was as oblivious as anything. Likely he was here because he wanted a fight or another go... the former of which being far more likely. Giving a flap of her strong wings he jumped off the deck and moved forward toward the black dragon, tail lashing, "Keir, long time no see." She said in a tone that wasn't exactly friendly... but then again when was she ever friendly? Deciding to herself silently that Keir really was a man in the way that he disappeared after getting what he wanted she approached him. It wasn't that she minded too much since it had given her time to deal with her... problem.
The black dragon had scented Baroness and though being male it raised some hopes at another encounter last the last time his mind was on the other hand too preoccupied. Still her sudden appearance caused him to raise his head, eyes glaring at her accusingly even though there was nothing to accuse her with. Even if the wounds were small they would be noticeable to a dragon...marred up scales were like a neon sign of a scuffle. A small growl or grunt escaped past his nostrils as he regarded her and then swinging his head to stare at shrubbery as if he was ignoring the fact it had been HIS decision to come down here. "Yes...a long time. Why were you hoping for another go?" He snorted trying to sound smug..but coming off as...disturbed by what he was saying. Tossing his head he paced slightly on the spot as if he couldn't stand still. Tail lashing he unfolded his wings..and refolded them unfold refold...as if he couldn't decide if leaving was the better option. Finally they refolded settling on the black's back as he finally turned his head to stare at Baroness. Something seemed different about her..not that he could pin point why. "What exactly is the purpose of our ...predicament?" He demanded suddenly and rather..curiously phrased for though he meant being partnered with humanoid children it could be taken many different ways. "What is the purpose of us being paired?" He snapped again.
The wyvern's lashing tail for a moment froze before it crashed into the ground and a little, threatening sound escaped from her, "Another go? Not at the moment I don't." While Keir was what one would want in a mate, he was powerful, dangerous, intimidating, and capable of breeding, she still didn't want anything to do with him at the moment. She would blame everything that had occurred back then on him and take no responsibility herself, "Let us hope that isn't why you are here, Keir, I would hate to have to hand you your a** and send you so quickly on your way." Though it would seem that she wasn't really the first one to get at him today, was she? She was it he was scuffling with? Best not be some other scaly b***h or she might have to tear that dragoness's throat out after she was done with Keir she thought to herself in a manner that went against her earlier desires to be rid of this one. Damn it, stupid mixed up thoughts she thought to herself, then jerked her head over at him.
"What predicament?" She demanded, then blinked when he continued on and asked of the purpose of them being paired... and got a feeling it wasn't the two of them that the black was talking about, "Ahhh, yes... that. Hell if I know, stupid humans thinking they can actually tame us. Something I think is impossible aside from stupid ones like Vorel or the submissive ones like Hinder." She said, shrugging before laying down, tail lashing, "Why? Don't tell me it was your queer newt that scuffed you up." She was just teasing him, never thinking for an instant that it might even be a possibility.
The dragon snarled a bit rolling his shoulders, muscles bunching and clenching...it was evident that he was beyond antsy and his head snapped at the word 'queer newt' he snarled slightly before he batted at the ground..or rather gouged the ground with his claws. "We fought.." The black stated avoiding looking at Baroness's gaze for a moment staring at the claw marks he left in the dirt. "He..has learned well my lessons ...but ..." He went silent for a moment before he tilted his head looking to Baroness as if trying to figure if she was worth speaking with. Would she actually take him seriously? Or be just irritating though part of that was what was attractive to him. Her wit. "Have you ever harmed your partner?" He inquired on a quieter and more serious tone a low growl in his throat as if threatening her to answer truthfully.
The wyvern looked a little surprised when it seemed that her joking guess had actually been the right one, "You fought?" She asked, tail swishing behind her in a thoughtful manner, wondering if the black dragon had made quick work of his partner, teaching him his place... but it would seem not, he said that the newt had learned his lessons well. Did that mean that he had survived? Interesting, perhaps the black wasn't as strong as she had always figured he was? He then asked her if she had ever hurt her partner and she started to chuckle, "Hurt, Ter? Why would I? He's never done anything to piss me off... though were he to do so I see no reason to hesitate in sinking my teeth into that arrogant little a**." She liked her partner well enough, they worked well together, and he wasn't an embarrassment. He was someone that she could get along with and knew his place, "So, did he what did he do to deserve your wrath?" She was quite interested now, hoping that it was a good story filled with gruesome details... did the newt lose another arm? How amusing would that be, to lose the arm again to the son of the one who tried to eat him the first time, how wonderful would that be?
Keir looked surprised and irritated at her response...so she would make short work of her partner would she? "I see.." He mused out loud before finally beginning to relax a bit, some part of him wondered how much of what she spoke was bluffing. "Then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I took a chunk out of your boy.." Keir was being droll trying to spark a response from her, if she was nonchalant about it then perhaps she was being serious about putting Ter in his place. "I've done a lot of thinking since the dragons had rebelled...I was young then..and leapt into action without thinking. ..I protected Chath..for I wasn't going to let anyone but me hurt him I wanted to prove myself stronger than ...her." He looked away shaking his head slightly at the lingering foul taste on his tongue. "That boy sure did taste mighty horrendous..." He muttered sticking his tongue out a couple times as if air would manage to rid him of that flavor it was a couple moments before he continued, "But the more I think on it the more I wonder ...what my purpose was being here..with..this boy. I've tried to toughen him up..if I have to be with him he at least could be less of an embarrassment. What keeps you with your boy? Surely we could leave at anytime...just like those other dragons did."
Baroness listened to what he was saying, finding it to be rather interesting as he went on about his thoughts and feelings... this was strange, here she didn't even think that one had any feelings other then angry. To think that he had such deep thoughts to him, it was quite interesting... though she also had to look around for a moment to see if perhaps Hell was freezing over or something. Never did she think she would be playing the part of the listening ear to Keir of all creatures... really the only one she listened to when it came to such babble was Maria and she really had no idea why she did. Likely due to the fact that she looked somewhat similar to Ter in color and the fact that she had scales... that thought was forgotten when Keir commented on how his boy tasted before making faces over it, "Did you eat him then?" She asked, "Ha! I bet that stupid, girly boy owl would cry then, how delightful." Her tail wagged at the thought, heavily influenced in her thoughts of Geia by Ter and her thoughts often reflected that.
Keir continued on, saying he didn't know what his purpose was, that he tried to toughen up his boy, to try to make him less of an embarrassment, and wondered if his commenting on it meant that perhaps he felt he failed, "Well it seems you were able to toughen him up if he was able to scuff your scales up even a bit." She said offhandedly, seeming to have complimented him a touch without meaning to. She could only hope it didn't give him a bigger ego, she would have to have to rid him of it. At the question posed to her the wyvern's maw pulled back into a toothy smirk, "What keeps me with him? A mutual love of vandalism and violence, do you know how much fun it is to go around kicking over mail boxes at night? Hilarious." She said with a laugh, only growing a little more serious when he commented on them leaving as the other dragons had, "Huh... leaving, huh? I did for a while, it was strangely... lonely when I was out and about on my own. Not that you can spread that around, I'd deny it... or just kill you to keep you from telling anyone." She told him in a matter of fact manner, not wanting anyone to know that she had missed Ter while she was off getting rid of her unwanted eggs.
Snorting the dragon shook his head, "No...though I may of damaged his newly grown arm...that boy is resilient if..nothing else." Resilient and stubborn...actually the more that he thought on it Chath was nearly as stubborn as he was in some cases. He pondered on what Baroness said about how she had similar interests with her boy. So..why did he stay with Chath? He certainly had no love interest in Vorel...the sheer thought made him sick to his stomach..though that could of been the poison from Chath's skin....maybe both. "I do not share similar interests like my boy...so I am not sure why i say with him...perhaps ..like you ..some part of me does not wish to be alone. " He mused, it seemed almost surreal that these two dragons were having a 'heart to heart; conversation...tell that to anyone and no one would believe it. "Hmm...true...he did..manage that.." Though he couldn't exactly look at the wound on his snout his hand came up and brushed it lightly..it wasn't much..but considering that Chath was bare handed...
"What..will you do if your boy changes? As much as I enjoy causing chaos and destruction..even I know humans have rules...though I doubt many of their pathetic law enforcements would try to tangle with a poisonous boy and his rather impressive dragon." Keir slipped the compliment in..perhaps noting her small encouragement about Chath..or perhaps he was trying to turn her on who knew but him. "I myself ...may have to leave Chath. I doubt he'd trust me after nearly taking his arm off...."
Baroness gave a thoughtful sound in her throat. What would she do if Ter changed? She couldn't really say, "I suppose we will see when and if that time goes, I can hope that with the one he is courting, someone who is a terrible influence on him, that he won't change." Wouldn't that be nice? She made a bit of a face, "But given how dumb they both are they might end up with little spawn... how horrible would have be.. little half snake half... whatever that girl is, some sort of bug." She muttered, tossing her head from side to side trying to clear the mental image of such a mutant from her thoughts and looked back over at the black dragon when he mentioned that he might have to leave Chath, that he doubted that the boy would trust him anymore after nearly taking off his arm, "Wow... like mother like son." She murmured to herself, doing her best to keep amusement from her tone, not wanting to piss him off at the moment since things seemed to be quite calm at the moment. Strange given that normally they were at each others throats. This was... a new sort of experience... and one she was likely to get bored with soon enough.
The wyvern's form gave a little twitch, she sniffed at the air, then turned slowly to look behind them... odd, she'd swear that she had just scented that damn owl... but she didn't see him anywhere. A bonus since she was sure that he would likely flip out if he heard that his little boy toy was missing an arm... or at least almost missing one. Turning back to look at Keir again she couldn't shake the feeling that the owl was nearby. Likely just paranoia the wyvern thought to herself, unable to keep her tail from lashing.
Cocking his head he also tried to imagine such a pairing as he knew the pair..(how could he being the girl was his own boy's ..'sister' or sorts) the idea of them having spawns of their own was a scary thought. "yes..a bug of sorts...she is." He continued a bit distractedly as he noticed how Baroness tensed, given how often he scented Geia on Chath he also stiffened some what not liking the idea of the owl boy listening in on their conversation considering how often he was in a rage and not ..being calm and contemplative like he was now. Shifting his weight Keir took a step forward to Baroness eying her somewhat. "Heh..I think all blacks have part of their mothers rage...its in our black..." He murmured before he came a bit closer looking at her a moment before he came almost nose to nose with her. "I think I will be leaving now...I've overstayed my welcome..and don't want to cause you any more trouble." It seems odd..to hear such words from Keir thoughtful ones at that. Lingering a moment only to turn away and shake his head. "If you had been a black...you'd be mine." He commented as he then took a running leapt into the air. Wings beating frantically to gain altitude as he began to fly off...to where he wasn't sure just yet.
Baroness gave a bit of a snort, "As though you can cause me anymore trouble then you already have." She said, finding that to be a rather honest answer since he was in fact the reason behind her being caught in quite a horrible situation not too terribly long ago. As he dared to tell her that if she had been of his kind that she would have been his she gave a bit of a smirk, "Is that so? Perhaps you're right if I were a black I might be yours, but since I am not you could never keep me." She told him, watching as the dragon took off into the air and flew away from her. She found it to be a bit of a shame that he was heading out so quickly, especially since she had no idea if she would see him again given his talk about leaving on his own and being unable to go back to Chath, "What a shame." She said, giving a shrug before returning to her deck. Over head, kneeling on the roof of the house Geia went over what he'd heard before he took to the air to head for Chath's place, best that he go and check on him, to see if Keir were being truthful or if he were exaggerating... he really hoped that it was the latter, not wanting to see poor Chath down an arm again. Just the mere idea that he might be hurt as bad as that again made him want nothing more then to run to him... as well as kick Keir in his scaly backside, the second thing being something that would have to wait for now. Chath's safety came first.

Rescuing the Princess
Wandering the streets was a rather, tired angry and hurt Chath. Though after his fight with Keir the battle ending with the dragons teeth sinking into his newly grown shoulder/arm a pause before Keir removed his teeth from said arm/shoulder and winging off without a word. Chath knew there was muscle damage...well he couldn't lift his new arm..wonderful and he had been bleeding. With one hand he had managed to make a rather ...haphazard looking arm sling and bandage over the shoulder. He couldn't as his mother for help..she'd just worry and his sister would wonder why the ******** he was fighting his dragon...and would probably say he deserved it too. But that was at least an hour ago and spray bottle in its holster he was now wandering the streets trying to find his dragon. Calling out Keir's name in a loud if tired fashion the poor boy was finding himself feeling drained. Sitting down on a stone bench he sprayed himself as he thought things over. Though Keir and him fought often it had normally been with words or threats Keir had never actually bit him before and it was a big shock for him. Bringing back all sorts of repressed memories of loosing his arm he had found himself trembling and weak just shortly after the incident. Then...despite all that Chath managed to pull himself together and 'bandage' himself up. Now however he wondered if there was a point to him trying to find his dragon...for he was sure if Keir didn't want to be found...he wouldn't find him. Being a newt he didn't have wings and that his bandaged was almost soaked threw with his own blood he had to think on what his objective was.
It was nothing more then luck that had him flying over the very one that he was looking for as he made his way from his place to where Chath lived, he saw him but it took a time for him to register it in his mind... and then he was whirling around so that he could go back, then circled down toward where the newt was sitting on a stone bench. As he got closer to the ground his wings fluttered so that he could land in front of Chath. He was quiet for a long moment as he looked him over, studying him, then gave a soft, sighing sound, "So he wasn't lying." He murmured, stepping closer, and reached a hand out toward the newt's shoulder before withdrawing it. He was sure that he didn't want the wound to be touched and given the look on his face he was sure that he might not want to be touched in general, "Chath... have you been to the hospital?" He asked of him, his tone that ever worried tone he got when he was around those that he wanted to take care of.
It was a moment later that Chath really seemed to register that Geia was there with him, another moment to realize that he was being asked a question. Looking up his dark eyes found Geia's a small smile lit his lips if only because how much his heart lifted just to see the owl boy. It faded when the question sank in. "Hospital?" He murmured looking at his bandage that looked nearly soaked through. Ah...yeah maybe he should of gone and done that....ah well. Giving a shrug and then regretting it he winced and shook his head. "Nah...at this point the bleeding has almost stopped. Besides...I am worried about Keir." At the mention of his dragons name he looked to the sky as if wondering if he may see his black dragon flying around up there. "And who wasn't lying?" He asked distractedly schooching over and patting the cement bench beside him so Geia could sit down with him.
Geia starred at the bloody bandage for a long moment, then sighed, "You should still have it looked at, aren't you worried about infection? I've seen the pool your dragon mucks around in." He murmured, Keir was a beast that like to lounge in a rather... filth ridden pool, he was sure that if some of that water, some of those germs, got into Chath's wounds that it would be something that he would have to worry about. Taking a step closer he couldn't help but to hover, "It might be a good idea to have it tended to, maybe get some antibiotics just in case?" He knew that Chath wasn't worried about him, it was as he said he was worried for Keir which meant that someone else was going to have to worry for Chath. Geia would be that someone since he loved him so much... and because it would seem that despite wandering around with a bloody bandage around his arm nobody around them was looking to worried... Jerks. The word was about as harsh as Geia got when it came to being upset with people. Turning to look at his boyfriend the owl's ear tufts twitched as he was asked who wasn't lying. Should he pretend not to know? Should he make it up? Likely he should tell him the truth but if he did would Chath want to go and try to figure out where Keir was going from Baroness? That might end with him getting bitten again if the newt really annoyed the Wyvern... or worse she might stick him with that tail of hers given that she already knew from Keir that Chath tasted bad, "Ahh..." He couldn't lie to him, Geia didn't have it in him, "Keir wasn't lying. He was telling Baroness about how he bit you." He murmured finally as he came to sit down next to Chath, inspecting his bandage closely.
Perhaps it was because Chath was tired from his blood loss, it was hard to tell but he just didn't seem that worried about himself...maybe he took for granted his regeneration abilities...he had worse in the past. With a sigh he leaned on his knees then changed his mind as he renewed the fiery pain in his shoulder. "Don't worry..." He teased as he flexed his hand into a fist and flat again though wincing as he did so. "See? I can still make a fist..so no permanent damage.." He was either being stupidly brave or just stupid in general. With Chath it was always hard to tell.
He did however look surprised when Geia admitted to seeing or rather hearing Keir speak recently. "You saw him? Where? Baroness....??? Why would he..?" the newt sounded exasperated and flustered and very very confused. Why would Keir be having a conversation with Baroness???
Geia watched as Chath flexed his hand before giving a soft sighing sound, "Good, he made it sound a lot worse." He murmured, though maybe Keir just thought that he had done more damage then he really did? It did sort of sound it from what the dragon had been saying. He watched the newt more closely before he nodded, "Yeah, he came to visit her after his run in with you. They spoke for a time before he left... Chath... you're looking for him, aren't you?" He was a little surprised since he would think that the newt might be upset with the dragon for attacking him in such a manner... it also worried him. Chath was searching for Keir, Keir didn't think Chath wanted him and was running away... did that mean that Chath would just keep searching forever with the wound he was given? His wings gave a little flutter behind him before he looked around a moment then back, "I wish I had thought to bring Vorel along." He mused to himself. If the Frost was here he could have made Vorel carry Chath for him but he had flown off without a word, so worried for Chath that he hadn't even thought about telling anyone. Oops, he should probably call home here shortly.
Chath licked his upper lip slowly as if her was parched for water, at the idea of water he reached for his spray bottle and misted himself a bit, the wheel in his head turning slowly as the information was given to him. Nodding his head slowly he glanced back up at the sky again. " Yes...I am. Things got out of hand and I am sorry it went so far. But he has to learn that he isn't the boss of me..I live my life how I want to and if I want to be with you then he has to deal with the fact I am gay." He stated the word sounding a bit..jarring as he said it out loud. He had never really announced himself gay...but dating Geia made it a bit obvious didn't it? "I am starting to wonder if he is homophobic..." He laughed a bit wincing s he did so. "O..kay maybe I should stop by a clinic or something...I feel exhausted." The newt sounded defeated he didn't want to give up searching for Keir but at the same time if he ran himself into the ground trying to find him then there would be no point looking for him.
"Think you could help me get to one?"
The owl couldn't help but to wince as Chath explained what it was that had started the fight between him and his dragon, it was because of the fact that Chath was with Geia? Well that and the fact that he was gay. Starring up at him his ear tufts gave another wiggle before he nodded his head, "I see." He murmured, he thought that his dragon was homophobic, did he? It might make sense, the dragon never had been to keen on the fact that the two of them were together. He had made it clear on many occasions but to go as far as to bite his partner... still, he felt a little bad for Keir. He was currently worrying that Chath would no longer trust him or that he could no longer go home because of what happened. It made him wonder if the dragon really did love his boy even if he didn't realize it... or at least whatever the black dragon equivalent of love might be, something along the lines of possessiveness he figured from the way that Keir acted. Geia gave a bit of a smile, "Yes, you should get to a clinic." He agreed, that the newt was at least understanding in that fact made him smile. He didn't want for him to stress himself out to the point that he collapsed, especially given that Geia was alone and there was no way that he would be able to carry Chath anywhere even if he tried his best. The newt was bigger then he was, taller, heavier, and it would be tough to get him anywhere under his power alone, "Let me figure out where the closest one is then we will head out, alright? You can lean on me if you need to, I will do my best to keep you up." He said, reaching into his pocket to get out his phone and used it to search for the closest hospital or clinic that was closest to him. After a moment he nodded, tucked his phone away, the pushed up to his feet, "Alright, let's go." He said, giving him a smile and offered him a hand up.
