Sev took a moment to think, he'd never been to Sand before. "Sand huh? Alright." He followed LT out of the battlefield and into the distance.

Stepping into the tree clad forest, Akai groaned as the bright sunlight faded away to review only a faint glow barely enough to luminate the area. Truging along through the forest path, Akai wondered just what in the world did she do to deserve going on such a boring and tiring mission. 'That new kage must be reevaluating everybody or something. Sheesh, what a bother...now I actually have to put some effort into this or else I risk demotion...' Turning to face the group, Akai released a sigh before returning her gaze forward where the girl with long flowing red hair was still taking lead. 'Whatever, I'll let her play follow the leader for a few more minutes before taking over. Besides...it looks like I have a really messed up group to deal with anyways...might as well enjoy the peace.'

Hiniko made sure to stay close to their employer. The others might not want to take this seriously but she was. If something was to happen she was not going to have it fall on her heads because the others didn't want to realize they weren't being smart. She stayed behind to make sure he was alright realizing that he obviously couldn't move as fast as them. She would wait for him to catch his breath before they moved on. They didn't need him out of breath if for any reason they really would have to run.

Walking quickly down the forest road, Aki suddenly stopped in his tracks, holding up one hand and placing the other on his chest, breathing heavily. "Hold on! I can't keep pace with ninjas, you'll kill me before we get there." he called out, before crouching down, still trying to catch his breath. Ninjas just moved too fast for a civilian to keep up with, it was painful really. "Give me a few minutes to catch my breath, and then we can start out again, slower though, please?"

Aki is a civilian, he's not going to be able to keep up if you run straight through to the next location without waiting. From now on, two posts at every location. One arriving, then, once everyone is there, one leaving. (If you decide to keep your posts in Merchant's Road, you'll have left Aki behind. And who knows what might be out there waiting to attack.)

Enter from Gates of the Hidden Leaf

Naiten, as was her habit, stayed behind the entire group, even behind the client. In the distance, she could somewhat clearly see Suki's fire-red hair and could just make out Akai's earth-brown hair. The girl didn't know what to make of their fast pace. Of course, even if she did, she wouldn't have said anything about it.

When Aki stopped, so did Nai. As usual, she was behind him and she simply stood there as she waited for the civilian to catch his breath. As she waited, her head seemed to continuously turn as she scanned the surroundings. In the village, there weren't too many things to worry about so the girl usually kept her head down to attract as little attention as possible. However, out here without any gates or any sort of protection, the small girl couldn't help but fear the worst, which became even worse should she let her mind wander into thoughts about the past.

(OOC: Sorry for making you guys wait so long >_< ! I just thought that Nai should be the last one to leave since it would fit her character sweatdrop .)

As Akai continued to walk forward, she could hear the sounds of footsteps getting softer and softer. Releasing a low groan, Akai turned just as her employer cried out to them about slowing down. Shaking her head, Akai began walking back towards her panting employer. 'And this is why I hate escort missions...' Expecting the other girl to have noticed them stopping, Akai didn't bother to check on her and instead walked up to the pale skined girl. "One of you two packed some water right? Well he looks like he'll be needing some." Releasing another sigh, Akai turned around to face the road ahead, making sure to scan the surrounding perimeter as well. No matter how much she disliked such missions, she still had enough sense to not get killed.

{Sure, sorry about that. Guess we should've made it more clear before starting eh?}

Naiten's head swiveled back from her numerous glances at the surroundings at the sound of the squad leader's voice. The girl looked over at the other girl and finding that she seemed to have little on her body other than her clothes and the usual equipment pouches, figured that she probably was the only one who had troubled to bring extra supplies. Reaching into her shoulder bag, Nai pulled out a plastic bottle of water. Of course, she had her own separate canteen for herself. The plastic bottles were supposed to be for others. Quietly and quickly so as to not draw attention, the girl balanced the bottle of water on Aki's shoulder so that it would fall forward slowly enough for him to notice and be able to grab it before it touched the ground. Being behind the client, doing something like that wasn't all that hard.

Aki looked over his shoulder as he felt a sudden chill, grabbing the bottle before it could fall. "Ah, thank you." he nodded in thanks to the girl. Unscrewing the cap, he took a quick drink before closing it up again and tucking the bottle into a pocket of his pack. Standing up straight again, he nodded, indicating that he was set to get moving again, but then frowned as he looked around the group. "Is it just me, or is there someone missing?" he noted the lack of the red haired girl who had so hurriedly taken off first from the group, and apparently had kept right on going when they stopped.

Hiniko had a bag but it was only for herself. She hadn't thought to bring too much more. She would happily share with Aki and she was going to pull out a bottle of water but it seemed the other girl had it first. She gave the girl a soft smile. Aki said he was ready to go on but there seemed to be someone missing. Hiniko sighed and nodded. "Yes, she doesn't seem like the team type." Hiniko pointed out. "If you want me to" she stated turning to their leader, "I can go catch up with her and bring her back. And perhaps you two could stay with Aki?" she suggested,

When Akai heard her employer mention that one of their members were most likely missing, Akai groaned and brought her gaze downward towards the path. Staring straight ahead Akai realized that indeed that independant little red-head had stormed off without them. It was infuriating to say the least, she was the leader and as much as she hated this mission, she was not going to fail it or get a bad rating on it because of some annoying brat. "Argh...such a pain..."

Turning to face the pale girl, Akai raised a hand in 'stop' while she shook her head. "No need, I'll send a clone. We'll continue moving as we are." With that, Akai took out a match from her skirt pocket and lit it with a simple Katon: Ichi. Dropping the match to the floor, Akai quickly formed the handsigns for the ember clone using the fire from the match as base. Once the clone was formed, her clone dashed off ahead to catch their missing member. Releasing another sigh, Akai kicked some dirt to her match as she questioned the group. "So can we get a move or or are we still resting?"

{So, can we move now?}

Aki looked on in wonder as a copy of the chuunin grew out of a mere match's flame and ran off. Now that, was interesting. He had to wonder if the match was truly necessary, but it was fascinating. Ninja were so strange...

The leader's question of whether they were ready to move on snapped him out of his reverie however, and he straightened up. "Yes, I'm fine to move on. Just, don't leave me behind? I can't move as fast as you ninja." he said with a haphazard smile. It was truly strange, to see children with such abilities. The fact that his escort team was completely female didn't even phase him so much anymore.

Hiking his pack up higher on his back, Aki began to walk once more, nearly tripping as something ran out of the brush and under his feet. Once he'd gotten his bearings back, the man smirked, seeing what had tripped him up. Pointing into the branch of a nearby tree, he looked back at Hiniko and grinned. "See? Squirrel almost got me." With a light chuckle, he started walking again.

Hiniko nodded when Akai said she was to stay here. That was fine with her she didn't feel like having to deal with the girl anyway. She watched as a new clone was made out of flames and she couldn't help but to think that was a rather interesting way of making a clone. She hadn't seen that before. Aki said he was ready to move on, and he almost tripped. Startled she stepped forward holding a hand out to steady him. When he adressed her she gave him a nervous smile He seemed a little clutsy, that was great. she thought sarcastically but it didn't make her mad. she started moving along with him.

Glad to hear that her employer was finally ready to continue, Akai simply nodded her head in understanding at his comment. Remaining rooted to her spot, Akai watched as her employer walked towards her only to lose balance thanks to a squirrel. Sighing at his comment, Akai could only close her eyes and shake her head in disbelief. Seriously, she felt like her mission just got even harder and longer.

As soon as her employer and the pale faced girl passed her, Akai turned around and started to follow the group only slowing down her pace a bit inorder to fall in step with the petite silent girl.

Suki woke up in the grass, face first in the ground. She'd been ahead of the group, just to get a better sense of the outside world... then nothing. No... there was something. She was breathing heavily. She'd just gone back there. She thought she had it under control, but it seemed Abyss was trying to claw her way out again. Last time she was given control... Suki shivered as she struggled to stand up. Her breathing was slowly calming, but the sweat was still there. She slowly looked around. Yep, she'd lagged behind, obviously. Her mind was still racing. She hadn't been in Abyss's plane for very long, not like before where it took three days to get everything under control. She seemed to have only been out for only an hour, and seeing as how the client wasn't a shinobi, Suki had a chance to catch up.

She looked at her hand. She was still her... for now. She cursed softly as she sped off.
