Finding that Keenan was not lethally injured he rummaged through a bag and drew out some old papyrus talismans, placing them around Keenan he muttered the command words and a barrier activated, shielding Keenan from any harm as long as she didn't leave the small area; the barrier would also heal her wounds and reinvigorate her.

Making his way back to the overview of the battle Eilov seemed genuinely afraid. Swiftly pulling out a grimiore he flipped through the bulk of it, searching for necromantic summons. Speaking into the earpiece, "Twi, they don't just need the bodies of the citizens, they intended to use the werewolf corpses as well." Pausing to examine some more pages he continued, "Twi, there is no way that one circle was all of it. The only summons that need this many corpses involve ritual diagrams that span entire cities." By the dead gods, it cannot be! "Twi, have everyone burn any corpses they come across, the necromancers won't be able to use destroyed corpses. This summon cannot be finished!"

Calling upon pacts that no mortal could remember Eilov ignited the air around him in an aura of flames, directing the flame through willpower alone Eilov ignited the bloodstains and corpses of as many dead as possible...
PostPosted: Mon Feb 22, 2010 6:25 pm

"you heard him everyone, let's get these bodies burned! i'll send them in prayer!" he commanded into the earpiece.

taking a deep sigh, he set to work, clearing the battlefield of corpses with fire, and rounding up any guards and citizens to do the same. a few pyres were made in clearings of teh city.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
watching the fire solemnly, Twi's gaze was an earie one. despite his stoic expression, there was something obviously roiling beneath the surface of the brown ocean that was his eyes.
"this city could have burned just like these bodies..." he said. he sighed again, and began his prayers.
The corpses burned and Eilov stood staring into the flames as the last of his spirit soldiers faded into the void. He contemplated whether the necromancers might have a contingency plan in case the initial plan failed, unlikely, but there stands a disturbing possibility. Talking back into the earpiece once more, "Twi, were the necromancers human?"
Layla sniffed the once idle air. It smelt different. Like she could smell something. It smelt smoky. Kind of like flesh burning. They were most likely having a barbie or something like that. She shrugged it off before pushing away from her desk and sliding out of her cheap rolling chair. Part of her small mind wanted still to deny the whole house and the interesting people living in it. But, the part that wanted to accept it was much bigger then that part. She still had her times where she would stare at someone and demand they take off a mask or something. The strawberry blonde scratched her chin as she picked up her freeloader fork and slipped it in her vest pocket along with her swiss army knife. "What the hell have I gotten myself into?" She asked herself aloud as if asking a higher power or someone in the room with her. Layla sighed and opened her door before walking out into the hall. It seemed more quiet then she would have liked. The others must have been at like a party or some messed up thing like that. "And they don't invite me? Those sonnovaguns." She sighed before walking further down the hall. In the far distance there had to be a crackling of a fire or the cackling of laughter. Her human ears were not good at detail. She shivered a bit as she walked down the hallway in her red and black striped socks. The toes were trashed from her walking around in them and wiggling around her big toe trying to get some air on it. The girl sighed as she walked. Her hair was in a sloppy ponytail that she was bound to fix later. "Now where in the hell could they all be?~" Once more she found herself speaking for none to hear. She quickly shook her head as she walked towards the nearest door. There had to be someone somewhere. If not at least a note or something like
'April fools Mofo~'. Though neither of those sounded that likely to her: she hoped there would be someone. As she opened the door the smell of smoke hit her harder. She began to walk and gaze out at the blaze she saw. "They're having a bonfire without me? How rude!" Layla pouted as she got closer. "You guys are mean~ Having a wonderful fire without me?! How could you do this?~" She of course could not tell what exactly was burning in the fire. Must have been some weird-a** would or something. The human licked her dry lips and looked at the others. "So what I miss? Any fun things?~" Layla asked with a smile.
((Greetings~ I hope this is an okay post for a first post~ And just in case it is not okay, I picked up as well as I could from the last post! She is so clueless~ XD))
((Finally someone revived this thread, thank you so much Layla!!!))
Eilov turned to the human, "Werewolves being forced to fight by necromancers. Nothing too serious though. The smell is awful though." The ancient vampire sneered in disgust, the burnt fur stinging his eyes. Eilov turned away and spoke into his earpiece, "Twi, another human showed up. She is unaware of the situation. I will inform her." Eilov turned back to Layla, he offered a cold hand to her in greeting. "Necromancers have somehow driven the local werewolf tribe into town causing casualties. It seems that a younger lycan was used to secure one of our number, we are not sure why. Our forces have already repelled the bulk of their forces and we are turning back the stragglers. Twi is in charge, I am Eilov." The vampire reached into one of his many pockets and drew out a earpiece, offering it to her. "Use this for communication. If you come across any bodies, toss them in one of the fires, we are preventing any mass necromantic rituals."
Layla raised an eyebrow at the man. "Not this s**t again. Why is this place so freaky?!?" She sighed and took the ear piece. "Just when I thought this damn place couldn't get any worse: some werewolves show up and Try to kill people! Why me? Oh why did I come out of the room in the first place?" The human pinched the bridge of her freckled nose. Her moldy green eyes drifted to the man's hand. "Sorry, did you want a hand shake? Because I am pretty sure I'd I shake one of your hands I'll get infected with your weirdness." The girl shrugged a humble shrug. "Don't take it personal: y'all just scare the heck outta me." Layla gave a sad smile. It wasn't her fault that she was not use to everyone on the guild-tribe-thing. At the mention of burning bodies: she shuddered. 'These people are more then weird: they're insane! As nutty as fruitcakes with peanutbutter and almonds with trailmix!' The strawberry blonde bit her bottom lip as she tried not to say that aloud. "Gross! Isn't that like illegal?!" Her face was riddled with many feelings. A few of which were: panic, disgust, fear, and just plain confusion. At the thought of thrownong a body- none the less touching one!- made her stomach do a flip flop. How could Eilov expect her to do such a terrible thing?! The Ginger looked at the man with wider eyes. "Can you say that in a way that does not sound like you belong in the nearest looney bin this side of the area?" Layla nit her bottom lip some more when she realized exactly how rude that sounded. "What I meant was- um... Uh... Nere mind." She blushed before looking at the fire. It was beautiful while at the same time terrible. Damn, fire did confuse her.
Eilov smiled, concealing his fangs. "I am a vampire dear, I have walked this earth when your ancestors were young. My power is so great that the sun no longer holds sway over me. And this is something you cannot avoid. We burn corpses as we are stopping a necromantic ritual. Burnt corpses are useless, I know this as I myself am a necromancer of some power." Eilov pulled a bit of twine wrapped in silver, he tossed it at a body a short distance away, he followed it with a harsh word in an ancient tongue and the body burst into a small inferno. "We are not insane, and yes I can, and have read your thoughts." Eilov dropped the illusion of warm flesh and pale blue eyes, his glare became red and feral his flesh pale and his fangs were obvious. "The lycans were driven here to kill for a ritual, they did not come here on purpose." A howl pierced the air and a particularily large lycan lunged at Eilov, his wicked maw open in attack. With a fluid motion Eilov sidestepped the lycan and grabbed it by the throat, he bared his own fangs and ripped into the large beasts jugular vein, killing it. The necromancer tossed the corpse aside and uttered a harsh word in a vile language, the body of the lycan burst into black flames which devoured even the bones in mere moments. "And self-defense is not illegal."
Layla looked at the man in disbelief. "Sorry but... Do you need someone...? Maybe a doctor, or a non-human who has nerves of ******** steel?" The human ran her hands through her hair, thus knocking out the pony tail holder. Her strawberry blond hair fell down into messy clumps. When the body caught on fire: She fell and let out a squeal of fear. At the man's next words she shuddered. "I feel violated." This was whispered under her breath as she pinched the bridge of her knows. As the man grew more well how do you put it..? Scary: Layla took a step or two back. As the man spoke she slowly nodded in fear as if she understood it all, while inside her she was trying to fight of crying. At the blood curling howl, she let out a scream. The blood for the terrible creature splattered and stained the once green grass. She looked at the vampire in fear. " Ah, ******** man! You just killed that ********! How the ******** is this possible?! Are you mind ******** me?!" She pointed at the man as her hands shook. This had to be fake. It had to be fake. No way could this be possible? It was impossible!
((Please keep swearing to a minimum or at the very least mark it out such as f***.))
Eilov just stared at her, typical human, he thought to himself. "Let me put this in an easier format for you to digest. I am a powerful vampire, I drink blood, that was a werewolf or lycanthrope, I killed it in self defense, I can dominate people and have them follow my commands. I did not do that to you. This is all real, if you want feel free to touch my neck, no pulse is there. Here are your options, stay and fight beside me, you will not die. Run and you will be hunted by lycans. Side with the lycans and I will kill you." The vampire leveled his ruby gaze upon the human girl, "So what option do you choose?"
((Oh sorry~ I will try to do that but I have gotten so used to it~ XD {Some ways it self bleeps~ XD} But no exact deals~ DX))
Layla stared at him in disbelief as he spoke the strange truths. "No, no, no, no, no, no. This can't be real!~ You must just be some crazy college kid. I bet this is a dare. Is it a dare? Please...?" She grabbed her hair and began to shake more. This could not be real. 'This is not real. He is just some crazy A*s kid with a dark sense of humor. That's it. It has to be it! He just is a freak or something. Yeah that sounds right' At his lines about dying, she reached into her vest pocked at grasped onto the idle pocket knife. The next movement was hurried as she pulled the swiss army knife out and fumbled to open it up onto the knife. Even if the blade was dull, she could still fight back with it. "Y-You're in-insane! S-s-stop it! Pa-please!" Her eyes were teary as she shouted at the man-vampire-thing.
((Did you know they bleep 'Spoon' when you are in towns?~))
((Okay then. Oh, and if you haven't looked up my character yet, then you should because he is far more evil looking than you give him credit for. And before the question arises: Drow are evil elves, they have black skin, white hair, and red eyes. A cambion is born when the mother has a demonic ancestor back a generation [like her grand dad], the father is a full blooded demon [usually a strong one] the end result is a cambion who is pretty much a hybrid demon/mothers race.))
Eilov smiled, "Accept reality girl, the world you live in is not as it..." another werewolf leaped out from hiding and knocked the vampire to the ground. Eilov slid for a moment, before flipping up and standing on his feet. The werewolves claws were soaked with blood, "Blood of the innocent, wrongly slain." The vampire's eyes burned with an unholy anger matched only by the strongest of demons. Eilov raised his hand and barked out a command "Istail to me!" A silver gleam flew out of his sleeve and into his hand. A bright shortsword with a serpentine tail on the hilt, the tail wrapped around his arm. A single slitted eye stared out from the hilt of the blade locking its gaze with the lycan. Vincent roared and charged forth, meeting the lycan head on, the werewolf was fast and drew a deep series of claw marks across the vampires chest before Eilov brought Istail to bare and drove the demon blade into the shoulder of the wolf. The eyes of the lycan clouded as it entered a battle rage and drove his claws into Eilov's stomach. The vampire twisted with the wound and closed the gap, driving the blade into the werewolf's heart. "Sorry, that doesn't work on me!" Eilov kicked the lycan off of him, losing some flesh in the process. Still burning with rage he lunged and sank Istail into the wolves throat. Istail seemed to crackle with joy as it devoured the soul of the lycan which reverted to its human form after a moment.
Eilov drew his blade out and kept a tight hold on the blade. A harsh word in demonic turned the bones to ash. "Girl, I gave you your choices. And if you are going to fight you will need something better than that." Eilov wiped some blood off of Istail and drew a diagram on the ground. He whispered words that turned the air sweet and lovely and a eagle, with feathers as white as a cloud and eyes of amber soared out of the diagram. It keened sharply and landed on Layla's shoulder, flooding her with a sensation of good and kindness, it did not dig its claws into her shoulder as it seemed to have perfect balance and needed no support. Eilov spoke to the eagle in words as ephemeral as the clouds above, after a moment he returned his gaze to Layla. "Vaska will aid you, she is kind and gentle."
((Oh~ XD I am just going off what I have read so far and by how I would react to all of this~ XD And I know what a drow is, silly~ XD))
Layla watched in horror of the actions that unfolded before her eyes. She cringed as the 'vampire' and 'wolf' fought. How this was possible? She still had no exact clue. "Over kill...?" She asked with a raise of the eyebrow as tgus 'Istail' crackled. It caused her to shiver deeply. What in the hell was going on.
"I know you gave me choices, and I am choosing a differt-" She stopped as the man began to draw a diagram on the ground. This made her gag. It sickened her. Was this man a Satanist or part of some morbid cult? She watched with eyes like dinner plates as the beautiful eagle came out of the symbol. At first when the eagle landed on her shoulder she freaked until that feeling- She must have been drunk or on something to feel that good. No way could this be real. Layla stared at the eagle until the man spoke. "T-this... How?... Possible not. Not p-possible! No. No. Vaska...? No. No. This not real!" She was shaking as she said these words.
((It only bleeps the 'poon' part last time I checked.))
((I see. Sorry, just a general bit of info I give out.))
Vaska turned to Layla and stared at her, its beauteous radiance flowing through her. Eilov smiled, "It is all very real. Take a breath and absorb the info." Eilov turned his head to his side, dropping the remaining glamor from his form. His hair was back swept vermilion horns and white hair, feral slitted eyes, his skin jet black with slips of vermilion around his eyes and on his hands, and the appearance of being in his thirties. His fangs were pronounced and were just above his lower lip. "I hide no form in dark of night. My blood be demon and elf most dire. And it is thus I reveal myself to you, I am the Black Rose, Eilov Rukanyyr, madam." Eilov bowed low showing respect to Layla. "Might I ask your name, of fair lady to whom a celestial will willingly aid."
Layla stared at the man as he changed. A shiver went to her body as she watched. As he introduced himself, she smiled smugly. "Hello Eilov: I am Layla Oleander.. And can you repeat that?" A blush spread across her freckled face. This could NOT be happening. More importantly: What the hell was happening? She smiled a little at him before looking at her shoes. "Um... So.... A demon, eh?" She looked up at him and forced a smile. How was she supposed to act nice around a man she barely knew?! How was she going to fight?! The only fights she had gotten in were wrestling matches with her friend: Or the rare kissing fight! But those were different: Those were for fun! Somewhere in a distance their was a horrific howl. The ginger shuddered and looked at the man in front of her. "Wouldn't it be wise to run...?" She asked with a sad smile.
