She was trying to figure out if he was honestly curious, or if he was messing with her. She decided to respond as if he were one of her younger siblings. As if it was a mix of both. "Because that is how life works, from plants to animals, to higher life forms like us. If we were born full grown, we'd never get to have the experiences of learning.
