Sensible girl, Donovan thought as he glanced at Elnara. Donovan didn't know how to feel about Terexin's unexpected passing when he had heard though Kara was quite sad. Donovan supposed in his own way he was sad, even though he didn't really know the guy.
"I remember Terexin," Kara sighed a bit, "That was a long time ago."
Back at the first visit, but she could remember him and the shock they gave him that one night.

No one else there had ever met him of course.
"Why do you say that?" Haradhel asked Elnara curiously. "Who was he?"
Elnara helped Garrick to feed himself. "Ulrich and Ulani's son," she replied quietly. "He was killed ... I don't know, perhaps a few decades before the ranch was begun. I think perhaps a decade before Aliya was born. He was an assassin. He would have been the perfect one to go about on his own, taking people out without anyone else realizing they were gone. Stealing back children one at a time. He would have been excellent at that."

And Donovan thought, Terexin would know is way around the lands better than he. He couldn't go off like that, not knowing what the lands were like, and he never interacted with normal humans that weren't slavers and as he found out he talked like a fricken noble.
"And he would be good with children," Kara remembered how he was with Jin, "And he had good instincts."
Kara grinned looking over at Donovan.
"He followed you."
"Yea... I know and I didn't notice, even if I was distracted I should have noticed," Donovan chuckled.
Poor Terexin it was even a bigger shocker to find out they weren't married yet. Donovan thought, he would have liked to know they did actually marry eventually.

Elnara turned to look at Lore. "We should make sure to pay them a visit while we're here," she said softly. "It's been such a long time ..."
And perhaps they could spend a few days with Celebor's family. Sure, Celebor wouldn't be there, but that didn't make them any less family. Or they could wait until Celebor returned and then spend a few days with them.
Rhea glanced out the window. "We should be getting back, Cindy," she said softly, "it's quite dark out now, and I think it might be starting to snow ..."

Cindy glanced at the window herself, she had been living here long enough to recognize the signs of the weather as well as anyone who had lived here before her.
"You're right," she murmured, "I'm afraid we'll have to go then."
She reached over to hug her parents, even Donovan got a hug even though out of all the children she knew him the least.
"I'll see you both later," she told them, "Another time."
Then she rose from her seat to leave.

Rhea stood as well and reached out to take her staff from the wall. "Thank you for dinner, Haradhel, it was lovely. I imagine I'll see you in a day or so. Good night, everyone!"
The others called out a general good night, and Rhea headed to the hall to grab her cloak from the abnormally full row of hooks.

"Good night everyone, thank you for dinner," Cindy got up from her seat nodding her head before going over to get her cloak.
Her original cloak that she had brought with her had to be replaced long ago due to use, but this new one was just as good. She wrapped it tightly around her.
"I see you again mother," Cindy waved before leaving.
Kara waved in return, "She's grown so much....."
And of course she didn't mean physically but Cindy was one of the children who let her hair change. Her long wavy blond hair became longer since being here and kept in a braid.

Elnara smiled at Kara. "They've all grown so much," she murmured. "You should have seen Celebor's children when they were younger ... they've all changed so much ..."
Haradhel rose from her seat. "You all go ahead and eat your fill," she told the others. "I've got to get more food ready before the morning, now that there will be a second group heading out."
"I'll help," Arahad offered, moving to join his mother. "It's not like I'll be one of the ones going anywhere, so it's all right if I don't sleep much tonight."

"The only person I've ever seen was Aras and that's enough change, of course the last time I saw her she was a Surprise so, so much different than being an adult," Kara giggled at that.
She wished she could help Haradhel but the twins were still on a constant feeding timetable and with Donovan going to travel it was going to be hard to look after them starting tomorrow.
At that moment Miyu came in, she had eaten dinner at the barracks while trying to get over any final skittishness that was associated to her personality.
"Sorry mi.... ate dinner with Yami-san."

Garrick and Hana thankfully were at the age where they could be put to bed, so Elnara offered to help Haradhel with the preparations once the twins had been tucked in.
Elrohir smiled at Miyu as she came in. "Welcome," he told her warmly. "It's been a while since we've seen you. Did you enjoy your afternoon with Aragost?"

"Very much," Miyu beamed as she slid into a seat.
She was comfortable with at least most of the elves here, except the new ones but she didn't know the new ones so well. Well she supposed they weren't new anymore.
"Mi... it looks like it'll snow, the stars aren't as bright...." she commented.
Stars and snow were her two favourite things, the was probably from being Yue's daughter the former no one quite figured it out. She was a lot calmer at night than she was during the day.

Elrohir nodded and looked towards the window. "Rhea said that it was starting to snow, which was why she and Cindy had to leave," he said softly. "But hopefully it won't be much, and we won't have trouble with the hunt."
He turned towards Ahren, who was still sitting at the table. "But you should probably get to sleep," he nodded. "You're going to be leaving in the morning as well, once you gather the people you want to take with you."
Ahren nodded. "Right. Good night then." He nodded a good night to everyone, and then headed towards the stairs.

Kara rose from her seat picking up Hope and she motioned for Donovan to get Faith as well, "I better put the kids to bed, for as long as they'll sleep anyways."
She grinned even though they didn't need as many feedings it was enough and she would need rest anyways.
Donovan scooped up Faith who took interest in his tie, it was soft... it was chewy, it was perfect.
"Good night," he told everyone.
"Uhm....." Miyu murmured, "What help is needed?"
She was also becoming a bit of a night owl.

"Good night," the others replied to Donovan; and then Elrohir turned to Miyu. "There are two parties leaving tomorrow on different trips, and so there's a lot of food to prepare," he told her. "Haradhel, Arahad and Elnara will be working on that ... though I'm sure if you want to help they won't stop you."
After all, she was old enough, she had no children of her own to take care of, and she wasn't going anywhere the next day so the lack of sleep wouldn't be that big a problem for her.
"I on the other hand have the distinct pleasure of going around and telling some people that they're also going on a trip," he muttered, "even though they weren't expecting it."
He headed towards the door.

"Mi....."
Miyu blinked it seemed something happened that she wasn't expecting, though she couldn't imagine why there needed to be two parities. Maybe there were two different groups of slavers.
"I'll help!" she smiled, "It's a good night to do work."
