  Angel d`Monte Lions make you brave,
Giants give you faith.
Death is a charade,
You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel made her way down the hallway slowly, clutching onto the walls for support. The human voices crept up the stairs and she shuddered as she met them at the top, swallowing hard as she step onto the first step and began her slow descent into the tavern.
When she finally got the bottom her eyes flashed around the bar for a moment. She bit steadily at her lower lip, her hands trembling slightly. Just as she was about to make a break for the door a man stood up and stepped into her path. Her eyes slowly looked up from his chest at his face and she resisted the urge to recoil backwards. He was a human. "Lookie here.. an Angel.." he slurred, placing his hand on Angel`s shoulder, then touching her wings roughly.
The room began to spin and Angel opened her mouth in surprise, no one had touched her wings in hundreds of years. She stood with her mouth open, soundless as the man`s grubby hands defiled her wings and her entire body began to tremble.

All I know is pieces.
Do you know who I am? Aurios was there in a flash. Having sped across the dancefloor, weaving quickly between the grinding bodies and voyuers. He quickly stepped in between Angel and the grubby man, dislodging his hold on her wings. Growling softly, he suppress his uncharacteristic urge to slaughter this man and gives a disarming smile.
"Forgive me sir but these are extremely delicate props for a play we're preforming soon. I don't know why my assistant is wearing them right now..." he pretended to throw a dirty look at Angel, but winked at her when they couldn't see him and turned back."But i'd rather not have any more damage to them. Capiece?"
The man and his friends, who had stood up expecting a fight all bobbed their heads sluggishly and went back to drinking. Aurios sighed and quickly ushered Angel out the door. When they were safely away from the bar he rounded on her a look of soft incredulousness on his face.
"Milady, are you insane?" he asked quietly. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel stuttered inaudible sounds until they were outside and her eyes stared blankly ahead of her. Her wings twitched a few times on her back but other than that she remained motionless.
After a few moments her breathing slowed and she tilted her head slightly, looking up at Aurios, "p-pardon~?" she whispered, her voice hoarse. She swallowed hard and unclenched her hands, little spots of blood pooling up on her palms. She held them out in front of her and stared down at them for a moment.

Do you know who I am? Aurios started to respond a bit more indignantly until he saw her blood. Sighing gently he ripped the hem of his shirt off into two rags and after lightly cleaning the wound with his tonge, felling awkward the whole time, he wrapped the rags tightly around her palms.
"You have to be far more careful, love." he said softly. Once he was sure his handiwork was finished he shook his head clear. Angel blood was far different than he imagined. "Can't you hide your wings?" What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel frowned as he licked her palms, then wrapped them up. She then looked at him carefully and shook her head, "I.... he ... no one.." she began, then a few tears sprang out of her eyes, falling down her porcelain-like cheeks. She turned away from Aurios and stared out at the sky. "I used to be able to.. not anymore.." she said softly, stretching her hands into the air as if to call the clouds down to herself.

Do you know who I am? He watched her for a moment and suddenly felt a pang of remorse. Of familiar sorrow before it passed just as suddenly as it had come. Softly he turned her around and wrapped her in a soft hug. He didn't know why he was doing this, but it just felt needed. Something inside him cried for him to recognize her pain.
"Angel..." he said softly. "It will be alright. I promise. Just don't give in yet."
His voice had become soothing and quiet, like a father comforting a child. He felt terrible, realizing that part of this breakdown was his fault. He really should watch what he's saying more. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel leaned into him gently, lowering her gaze to the ground as he held her. "We need to find it, Aurios.." she said softly, her body shaking lightly. Her wings felt terrible, defiled.
She shuddered and pulled away from him lightly staring up at him, "Can you... can you touch them.." she asked slowly, fumbling over her words. She needed his touch on her wings now, as if to cancel out the grubby human`s touch. He was ethereal, he seemed familiar to her. She swallowed hard and stared into his eyes, pleading with him.

Do you know who I am? Aurios softly let her go before gently brushing his hands against her wings. The instant his hand touched her feathers a light flashed and seemed to spread up her wings and into her body before sending him flying backwards. With a crunch and a loud cry of pain, he crashed through a few small trees before slamming his back hard against the trunk of a particularly thick tree. With a quieter thud he hit the ground and let the world swim around him. Something had been wrong there. Something about her didn't want him near her. That something had drained him and repelled him. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel felt the spark as Aurios touched her wings and her eyes widened, her back arching as she felt his power coursing through her veins. She shuddered and then her eyes closed as it was cut off from her.
She heard the crash and spun around quickly, staring at the trees that Aurios had flown through, "what..." she mumbled and ran over to him, kneeling down beside him, "Aurios... are you okay~!? What was that!" she exclaimed, shuddering lightly. "I`ve.. I`ve never... felt like that.. I feel like I could fly.." she said softly, in disbelief.

Do you know who I am? As she approached, he tried to push up from the ground but couldn't move much. His arm gave out under him and he fell to the ground. It was apparent to Angel that he'd been shocked and drained via some sort of current. The evidence to support it was the giant electric burn on his back. It appeared to be on both his skin and clothes, as if they had been made that way. With a soft groan he reached for her hand, fainting in the process. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel gasped when she saw the burns and shuddered lightly, blinking several times. She shook her head when Aurios fainted and placed her arms around him carefully, "Aurios.. no.. wake up.." she said softly, shaking him lightly.
She thought that maybe she had killed him, and tears began to well up in her eyes. "No.. no ... I`m sorry, Aurios.. I`m so sorry.." she said, placing her hands lightly on the wounds. She wanted them gone, she wanted him to be okay, and before she knew it she felt a tingling sensation crawl down her arms and through her fingertips. Slowly, she watched the wounds start to close and his skin start to grow back over them, "wh-what... Aurios.." she asked softly, shaking him again.

Do you know who I am? In his near death state, the primal mind of Aurios' had taken complete control. When she touched him, the link was formed again and it latched on violently so when the presence from before tried to sever it, Aurios held on. Slowly he felt his body being restored and before long he was entirely himself again. His mind swooped into her spirit, expertly avoiding alerting her to the intrusion, and almost made it to the presence before his rational mind took control again and the link was severed calmly. Groaning softly he pushed himself up before leaning back against the tree, his eyes turning to find a very worried Angel.
"Wha...What happened?" he asked groggily. He had flashes and a tiny idea of what happened, but he wanted to be sure. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel pushed herself up slowly and shook her head at him, "I don`t know.. I didn`t.. I didn`t want you to die..." she said slowly, blinking several times as she looked up into the sky again.
"What are you, Aurios?" she asked, staring at him carefully. She didn`t understand anything that was happening, or how she just brought him back from the edge of death.

Do you know who I am? Aurios stared down at his hands and shook his head, his face a mask of shock and fear. What had happened? Why did his memory plague him so damn much?
"I don't know, Miss..." he said weakly, obviously shaken by what had happened.I just...I don't know!"
Angrily he slammed his fists down against the ground in frustration. A soft sob emitted from his throat before he quelled it. This was not a time for weakness, of any sort. Shakily he pushed himself to his feet before gently falling back a few steps. Once he was sure he had his feet back under him, he straightened and dusted himself off like nothing had happened. What is it that hunts me on the edge of my vision and haunts my dreams?

You don`t have to feel safe to feel unafraid. Angel turned away from him as he hit the ground, thinking that he probably wouldn`t want her to witness any sort of weakness from him. She sighed softly and her wings twitched on her back; anxious, waiting. She shuddered lightly for a moment, then flapped them once and took off into the sky, soaring higher and higher until it was her amongst the clouds.
They danced on her skin, they were cold, almost like a thick, damp, fog. She shuddered as she felt them caress her body and stared at the ground in disbelief. It was a few moments before she hovered back down, landing beside Aurios. "I`m not tired.. Aurios.. I flew.. without being tired.. " she said breathlessly, immediately throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly.
"I don`t know what you did...." she whispered into his ear, "...but thank you". She let go of him and smoothed out her dress, carefully folding her wings onto her back. Her face held a smile that she knew would be there a while.
