Whomever the elf saw behind the trees was probably the figure Kayn had sensed earlier. And now he was going to fight whatever it was.

Folding her arms furiously, Kayn spread her wings behind her as menacingly as possibly as to show that she couldn’t attack but that she was there and itching for a fight. Heck, perhaps she would shove the elf away and take on the opponent herself if she so desired to.

Selce grimaced at Nalken's boastful countenance. "As you will, oh powerful protector." She made of Nalken and stopped directly behind him. With hand on hilt she looked over his left shoulder. "If you would continue, anything lurking behind the tree's to catch us off guard would not leave the protection of the trees to attack, no matter how eloquent the reasons you give." She couldn't stop a smile from reaching her lips as she waited.
-----
Aisha waited in the shadow of a large tree. With such a large form it was quite hard to stay hidden, let alone sneak up on anyone. 'You can not go through with this, you'll ne-' and with that Aisha ended the voice with some concentration. She could wait as long as needed to, she still wasn't sure inside herself as to what she would do if she got the chance her Lord wanted.

Nalken raised an eyebrow, changing his stance slightly.
"Demon...lesser, perhaps. She's waiting us out. Back away, it's a waiting game," He said, smiling now with a far more cold expression.

Selce moved to Nalken's right side and waited. She thought she could see what had alerted him to the presence of a demon. "Must be a lesser demon to hide from us." She said loudly.
----
Aisha bared her teeth, about ready to charge out and attack. But she quickly tamped her anger down at being called a lesser demon, let alone actually been found out by the group. Aisha managed to bar her mind from the little voice and stepped out.
----------
Selce blinked in surprise as the nearly 12 foot tall demon stepped out from behind a tree. "How did such a big thing hide behind such a little tree?" She exclaimed in utter amazement. Aisha stared coldly at the group so as to not present any openings. "I'm here for three of your number, of which you'd be better to let me talk to for a moment or two alone." She stated and pointed at Kayn, Valora, and finally stopping at Althenna.

Valoras look hardened even more as the giant walked out of the trees. She tensed up as the Balor singled both her, Kayn and Althenna out for a... talk. Pfft, yeah right... she thought in her mind.

"You want to talk..." Val scoffed. "If you wanted to just do that, you would've asked earlier without the spying!" she wasn't too worried about maddening the beast, she wouldn't be stupid enough to attack with the numbers against her. "So... what do you want?"

Nalken raised an eyebrow, but then burst into a round of merry laughter.
"Easy now, good demon! We are companions! Fellow travellers on a road to distant lands! Now, words to one are words to all! Come! Sit on this here stump and tell us a yarn of your choosing! The day is before us, the weather with out unfit for proper travel, and each has two ears! Come!" He leaned back onto a tree, knowing perfectly well that he wouldn't be taken seriously and not giving a rat's a*s about it.

Did he just say "Good Demon"? That's an oxymoron isn't it? Althenna thought to herself as she eyed the demon before them. She was trying to stand on her own but she was starting to get the feeling that she would need more than just the antidote given to cure her symptoms. For, if she remembered correctly, some of the symptoms now arising were all to similar to that demon son's poison claw attack she had suffered not long ago.

"What business could you possibly have with us? We didn't even meet until-- what? Yesterday? Hell, I don't even know if we've known each other for a full twenty four hours!"

Althenna wavered on her feet a moment as a small wave of dizziness washed over her again and had to squint to clear away the two then three identical demons from her vision.

This is just plane irritating! She thought irately as the more problematic symptoms arose again.

A demon?!?!! Of all the things that they could have found behind that tree, it was a twelve foot demon?!?!

Grudgingly, Kayn realized that alone, she would be no match for the Balor, who easily dwarfed her height of nine feet, and would no doubt be superior against her in all aspects of strength.

Not that she would ever admit it.

And the worst part was that the demon had asked to talk to the three of them. Demons never wanted to just talk.

"I have no idea what you could possibly want with just us three," Kayn snarled at the other demon. "Unless you're following out some sort of orders."

Kayn would have added like the slave to the lords you are but decided it would be wiser to hold her tongue.

Anduril placed a hand on his sword hilt. Stepping up beside Althenna he prepared to attack the Demon.

(Sorry for being gone a day or two.)
Aisha glared at each person who in turn talked, before she looked back to the human leader. Rather than repeating herself Aisha growled. "The three will come back with more or not at all." She stated matter-of-factly. Aisha reached a hand over her shoulder to the hilt of her massive sword. " I do not wish to play games." She told them menacingly. 'You are threatening people who only wish for a better land, and freedom, what kind of coward are you to not defy your so powerful master that didn't even come out himself to gather them?' The small voice blared into her head.

Selce positioned herself even farther to the side of Nalken more to surround the demon if she decided to rush them. Selce in the manner she had been taught took stock of the situation and figured the outcomes. As only two became clear, either fight the demon and possibly bring the plants to life and maybe the shadow mage, or they could run. She decided on a third course. "Maybe you could come with us, you could aprehend them later perhaps?" She asked the demon.

(Sorry for the rather cheesy way of getting Aisha with the group. That is if Althenna agrees of course XD )

"Let's do that." Althenna grunted, "In case you didn't notice while you were fallowing us, the plants around here are only enjoy a brawl if it's them doing the maiming." Starting forward again, she spoke between slightly labored breathing, "We've got a good bit of ground to cover before nightfall and I've got a shadow mage to find. You can tell us about yourself of walk in silence with us but the only way any of us are going is 'out'."

Where the hell is a medic when you need one? Althenna couldn't help snarl in the confines of her own mind. She was used to being the best or at least among the top in her company; being the weakest link did not suit her in the least.

When Keiza had heard the voice of the group and the demon nearby, she quickly picked the weed and placed them between the pages of her book before placing the book in her bag. She slowly made her way towards where the voices. She crouched down low and moved closer, using nearby bushes as a cover. A rather strange group they were. Keiza noted one's movement. The tell tell signs that she had been poisoned.

"The son of the Easter Demon Lord. There were only a few traces last in my blood. I guess whatever the heck that elf dosed me with reacted to it." Althenna replied, realizing only too late that she probably should have kept her mouth shut. He was on her list of "suspicions characters".

Selce listened closely to the words. At the words "son of of the Eastern Demon Lord" her eye's flashed quickly to look at Althenna. She looked back at the huge hulking demon in front of them. She kept her hand ready on her sword but figured the fight would wait.
------
Aisha made like she never even heard what the human had said but filed it away. "Mayhap I could travel with you." The last part she said to herself in her head. 'If only to kill you later.' Despite the protestations of her inner voice she figured she could kill them and be done later. Aisha looked behind herself and let a hand out. "If we shall continue?" She asked and turned and began to walk.

"You're not so bad for a demon." Althenna joked as she began the journey forward as well, "Do you mind if I ask you where you come from? And maybe your name? What type of demon you are?"

Althenna had to work twice as hard to keep up with the new demon but would probably have to even if she weren't dealing with the last bit of poison in her system.
