Matsuya shook his head. "It'll be fine. It's just a stab wound. A few broken veins, that's all. It'll heal fine in a few days as long as I take it easy." Matsuya's sunken eyes could see the man in the reflection from the pond. "I don't specifically like many foreigners, so excuse me if I've been rude. But I do want to know why your in my village. It's my job as one of the Seven Swords to know the inner workings of this place."

Matsuya didn't stop the vine. He simply let it do what the man wanted it to do. "I don't think we'll be partners. I prefer to be alone most of the time, gives me time to think." He looked at the water. "But I've never heard of someone who wasn't a fully fledged Kirigakure shinobi being one of the Seven. Well, there are a few who weren't born here, but they live here now."

Matsuya flexed the fingers on his hand. "Thanks." He didn't even so much as flinch as the man spoke of killing the Kazekage. "Do what you want. Like I said, I have no ties to foreigners. If you want to take on the Kazekage, then good luck to you. But I wont help you, so don't ask. I don't kill for unjust reasons. And this doesn't sound like a just one."

Matsuya sighed. "The brat from the graveyard? What could be so important about him that the Akatsuki would be after him?" Matsuya blew some of the hair out of his eyes. "One word of advice if you do bring him here. Teach him some respect for the higher ups. He seemed like me when I was a kid. No respect for authority quick to pick a fight. And trust me, if he tries to pick one with me he won't stand a chance. My power is more than it seems." Matsuya moved the finger with the horned ring on it. He had almost forgotten about it, it had become like a part of him.

Matsuya nodded. "Then it seems we have something in common." Matsuya fiddled with the ring. "If he is a host, why would you hide him here? I would, and this is just me, hide him in a place where even the Akatsuki would have trouble finding him. Probably somewhere in the wilderness. But thats just me."

Matsuya chuckled. "The Akatsuki are foolhardy. I doubt there is a person in this world they wouldnt touch. But someone they can kill, thats a different story. The Akatsuki has become unorganized from what I hear. They used to be a threat, but not much anymore." He scratched his hand, for no apparent reason. "Well, I did take an oath to uphold this village and all who live in it. So I suppose if you actually are going to be loyal to Kirigakure, and not some kind of fake like I've seen before, I can help protect the kid. But something has to come back to me in the end. A favor, or something of the like. Nothing comes free in this world."

Matsuya smirked a little. "The catch? That seems shrewd. I prefer to call it a favor." Matsuya cleared his throat a little. "The favor is that you help me when ever I need it, that the kid stops his attitude, and that you both stay away from the center of the graveyard and Ayame. If you so much as touch that girl in the wrong manner, you'll be talking to me. I've promised to protect her. And I dont break promises."
