Ura shook his head at Lin. "Thanks, you go ahead," he muttered. "I need a drink and something to eat." And the moment he spotted the food on the table in the dining room, he sat down, cushioning himself with his tail, and started to eat.
"Well, when did all of you arrive?" Nadya's surprised voice came from the direction of the cellar door, and a moment later she appeared in the open doorway. "I didn't expect all of you until the morning!" Which was what shocked her, considering usually she foresaw just about everything.
Tinuviel giggled and stepped forward to hug her aunt. "We've only just arrived," she explained. "I think Galdor has gone to get your mother to start the baths."
Nadya laughed. "Well. Come in, make yourselves comfortable ... though Ura, from the looks of it you just might be more comfortable on the couch in the livingroom." She smiled at him. "Go ahead and take your food in there, I'll call Cathmandir."
With a grin, Ura grabbed a plate and a few slices of bread and moved as quickly as he could to comply.

Lin opt to stand not trusting herself to seat, besides she would probably be less likely to get up after she sat down. Instead she stood next to the table and grabbed a piece of bread to nibble on while waiting.
"Food......" Senka complained, "But not bread." "Picky," Lin murmured eyeing the cat on her shoulder, instead she looked over to Nadya, "How has everyone been?"

Nadya smiled and moved to the cupboard, opening it and pulling out a shallow bowl. "Everyone here is lovely," she said warmly, pouring water into the bowl from the pitcher on the counter. "The plantation is doing very well, everyone's healthy ..."
She brought the bowl to the table and set it down, then petted Senka behind the ears. "Go on and rinse your mouth," she murmured to the cat. "I'll see if I can find some meat for you."
Just then, Galdor came into the kitchen, and he looked around at everyone who was settling themselves around the table and helping themselves to the food. "Bath will just be a few minutes," he smiled at Lin.

"Thanks," Lin grinned back.
She felt the light weight lifted from her shoulder as Senka leaped down onto the table heading straight for the water. The young woman could hear the cat purr, how she could purr while drink water was a wonder to Lin.
"Speaking of everyone, I visited the Eastland and saw Estel, Lothiriel and of course their children. I'm sort of interested to find out that Pengolodh their eldest son has the ability to see auras?"
Pen's gift (though she would never call the boy Pen in person now), interested her greatly. Mainly because if one didn't know any better, it could be said he inherited it from Gion, but Gion got it from her grandfather. Which sort of begged the question, did this mean if her grandfather if the day came he would leave the sword, would have permanently given Gion the gift to see auras.

Nadya smiled at Lin. "Magic is a living thing," she winked. "Who knows how it may change from one generation to the next? Just a moment, I'll find some food for Senka."
And she vanished down into the cellar once more.
Shiro looked at Lin interestedly. "Auras?" he repeated curiously. "Like Uncle Gion?"

"Yes," Lin nodded, "Which he got from being around Grandfather Daemon all the time, that's why I was curious. I know he doesn't have to be around Grandfather at all to have it work, but I sort of wonder if now it's a permanent Gift with Gion."
She shrugged and recalled the kind of in-depth reading that Pen gave.
"It takes him awhile to read the aura but once he does it's quite a read, not just one or two words but a whole description. When he gets older no one is going to be able to fool him. Though with a Gift like that I find he's sort of wary of people until he can fully read you, that or it's what he's learned from history."

Shiro nodded thoughtfully. "Perhaps you should talk to Uncle Gion about it while you're here," he suggested. "Maybe your grandfather will show up, too. He sort of made one or two almost-appearances at Mother and Father's wedding, and it's been a long time since then. Who knows how strong he's gotten since then?"
"We should be sure to ask," Earendil grinned. "I'm sure we'll be seeing him soon."
Just then Nadya returned from the cellar, a small bowl in hand. "Here, Senka," she smiled, placing the bowl on the table. "I'm afraid that's all we've got that doesn't take a while to prepare now, but in the morning we'll have more for you." She turned to Lin and Earendil. "Gion's just checking on the winery at the moment, he should be back shortly."
And then Laer entered the room from the other direction, smiling happily at everyone. "Welcome, all of you," she beamed. "Lin, the bath is ready for you. Top of the stairs."

"Thank you," Lin murmured.
In the light of everything, a bath would take priority over asking for the moment. Besides, it would be good to wash the sand, dust and whatever there was off.
"Senka, food or soak?"
Senka solved this by nearly gulping down her food. Lin was tempted to call her cat a glutton but refrained from doing so as the cat leaped back onto her shoulder.
She rolled her eyes before heading off to the bath, "Later."

When Lin returned downstairs after her bath, everyone else had finshed eating and were resting in the living room, sitting on the couch and chairs. Lex and Gion had also joined the group, and the room was looking a little crowded. Kaito, in his typical feline fashion, had chosen to curl up on the floor between two of the chairs, though in this case it was good since it meant that there was one place left for Lin.
Gion also had his sword with him, sitting on the table in the middle of the room, and when Lin came down the stairs he smiled at her and began to sign to her with his hands.
Nadya took it up on herself to translate. "Daemon knows that you're here," she smiled. "If you'd like to talk with him, go right ahead."

Lin was glad there was someone to translate, it wasn't like she had practice in sign language (she didn't really interact with Skye all that much).
"Thank you," Lin murmured as she made her way over to the table.
Senka jumped down from her shoulder not understanding what was going on. Something about a person named Daemon but she was going over to the table with the sword.
Lin placed her finger tips onto the metal before saying, "Hello Grandfather."

A hand appeared upon Lin's own fingers, a hand which was attached to a very Gaian looking man. Human in looks, he was dressed in a sort of semi formal way.
He delighted in the fact he could actually feel her hand, it was good to be able to really interact with objects sometimes now when he was able he would help out around the vineyard.
"Lin... it is good to see you," he grinned, "You've grown."

Gion smiled and watched the reunion of grandfather and granddaughter. He was glad for Daemon - it was so rare that the man got to see any of his family. It had been years since Elnara and Lore's wedding, and that had been the last time he'd had a chance ... and even that had been brief, and he hadn't been able to really take much form.

Lin jumped a little, she hadn't actually expected to feel anything and to her surprise his hand felt warm like he was really there. Even though he still had a transparency issue.
"A bit, I'm Mom's height now, I checked," Lin laughed a bit.
Senka sniffed the man's hand a bit before deciding this wasn't interesting to her at all, or maybe this just made her nervous.
Lin went on to tell Daemon about how everyone was doing, about the new twins, twins that wouldn't grow like everyone else so he just might have a chance to see them grow up normally.
Then of course about Lore and Elnara's twins, even though they grew normally they were talking now and were quite bright, but as she learned from her brothers elves matured mentally it seemed quite quickly.

While Lin spoke, the rest of the weary travelers took their turn in the baths, and by the time the narrative had concluded, Regan was fast asleep in Tinuviel's arms.
Gion was well pleased with how Daemon was holding up. He encouraged his friend to try to leave the sword as often as he could so that he could get stronger, and he was proud of how well Daemon was doing now.
It was Nadya who first mentioned the time. "It's very late," she smiled, "I wonder if perhaps we shouldn't all be gone to bed now. We have all the day tomorrow to share stories." She motioned towards her son. "Galdor will show you all to your rooms," she smiled.
Galdor grinned and motioned for their guests to follow him. "This way," he told Lin and the three nekos. Tinuviel and her family would be staying somewhere else so that they would have the privacy that they needed. "Earendil, you too." He started up the stairs, glancing back to make sure they were all following.

"Good night," Lin murmured to the sword that was her grandfather before following Galdor.
She couldn't help but glance around as they followed Galdor. She knew that her father, Triton, Yue and Mia had been here once. Well twice in Triton's case, he had always said this was a good place.
