Elizabeth lifted her head and she brushed by him as they entered into the nurse's office. She was jumbling her thoughts in her head. Her own real reason to hate Theo was because of the marriage, and his ordering tone, but thats all she could come up with to hate him for. She woundered what had gone through her head when she said she loved him. There were more than she thought for the perpose. She snapped out of her daze and spoke to the nurse. "Theo needs a checkup. He got a little ruffed up a few moments ago and I want to make sure his wounds are okay." she sat down in a chair as she spoke to the nurse.

The nurse looked from Theo to Elizabeth and back. Theo knew the drill. He walked over and sat down in another chair. He winced every so often as the nurse looked him over. His jaw clenched when she had to take out his stitches and put new ones in. His hands tightly gripped the sides of the chair, his eyes shut tightly.

Elizabeth's petal pink lips were pulled into a frown as she watched Theo wince in pain. She ran her fingers through her hair and forced herself to look away from him. Instead she stared at the moon outside that was burning brightly. She was so deep in her own mind that she did not notice when the nurse had finished. She kept her gaze on the moon and stars as the nurse finished the finally touches, thinking to herself.

Theo's breath was still shaky, trying to breathe through the pain that still coursed through him. The nurse looked at him with worry. Ever since he was a kid, he had always refused pain killers. He slowly opened his eyes, looking at the nurse. "She has bruising on her wrists and upper arms," he mumbled. The nurse raised an eyebrow before looking over at Elizabeth. "Are you alright?" the nurse asked her.

Elizabeth turned her gaze from the moon. "Yea I am fine. They will heal in a few days." she said. She lifted her wrists to eye level and she looked at the light greenish blue bruise on the wrist and examined it lightly with her fingers. She then dropped her wrist and looked at Theo with care filled sapphires.

Theo didn't move or make any indication that he had heard her. "Theo, you can't go on like this." He ignored the nurse's words, closing his eyes again. His body was screaming at him to take the damn pain killers but he still fought against it.

Elizabeth couldn't believe he refused to take any medication to stop the pain. As he ignored the nurse a small spark of anger flared up in her body. The urge to shove painkillers down his throut ran threw her head and body but she mentally strapped herself to the seat. "Theo you need to take something to help the pain. You may be a vampire but you are not damn invincible." she snapped at him slightly.

By then, Theo had broken out into a sweat. He knew she was right but he was too stubborn to give in to his pain. "I... can... handle... it," he said between breaths. The nurse just shook her head. Theo was too stubborn for his own good.

Elizabeth shot out of the seat she was it, causing the chair to scratch the ground at the sudden movement. "I am not about to watch my future husband be to stubborn to take so damn medicine. If you don't take it yourself then I will force you to!" she snapped harsher than before. Anger was filling and mixing in her eyes with the care, as she did not want to watch him be in pain.

Theo's eyes snapped open and he jumped, startled, when she started practically yelling at him. He stared up at her in surprise. He didn't say anything but, after a minute, slowly nodded. That was all the nurse needed. She grabbed a jar of numbing cream and got to work, ignoring Theo's flinches and muttering as she rubbed the cream onto his wounds.

The anger that had balled up in her melted as she saw him agree to have the medicine. She was surprised he agreed but also happy he did. She watched as the nurse rubbed the cream over his wounds to make the pain fade. A small smile pulled at her lips as she watched the pain on his face slowly fade off.

Theo slowly relaxed as the cream took affect. He sighed quietly as the nurse wiped her fingers off on her skirt and put the jar back. She looked over at Elizabeth. "How did you do that?" she asked. "You managed to get Theo to accept pain killers for the first time in his life."

Elizabeth looked at the nurse suprised. "First...time?" she thought about the question the nursed asked. She looked over at Theo and then looked back at the nurse with a smile. "I just acted stubborn, thats all." she simply said. She looked over at Theo to see he was now relaxed. "I guess you have to ask him why he agreed." she said as looked back at the nurse.

The nurse looked over at Theo, sighed and shook her head. He was already on his feet, ready to go back to his room. He didn't care that he would probably end up hurting himself again. He was getting tired and just wanted to take a nap.

A frowned began to pulled at Elizabeth's lips but she kept her lips upturned in a small smile. "I guess I'll take him up to his room. Don't worry, I'll try to keep him from doing anything harmful to himself." she said to the nurse before she turned to walk over to Theo's side. She wrapped her arm around his waist slowly and gently as to not bring pain back to him. "Come on, lets get you to bed. You look tired." she said as she pulled him gently toward the door to leave. She looked back at nurse and gave her a reassuring smile.
