Makes sense. If nothing else, a high-ranking stormie would be somewhat versed in all-terrain style warfare, so they'd be able to function anywhere, at least I'd imagine. It wouldn't make sense to have like, commando units that were only useful in 1 scenario, etc.
I'm going with the idea of a heavy weapons nut. Heavier, stronger armor with shielding ( officers already have shields, IIRC ) and toting a heavy repeater instead of the E-11 standard issue. I'm thinking Baragwin heavy repeater because wookiee says it's easy to modify, so she could be tinkering with it a lot to keep it in pristine condition, etc. Failing that, I'll just go with a non-specific heavy repeater and just screw the details.
Anyways, considering that, it wouldn't be too much trouble for her to adapt to a bulk Z-G suit, IMO, so that's doable.

Would we be RPing the whole mutiny part in the start of the RP, or will we start in the aftermath of it?

Preacher of what? The All Mighty Force, or Imperial Propaganda?
Stellar, were there other heavy combat-trained soldiers besides the Stormtrooper Corps on the ship? I'm thinking of an Assault Shuttle Commander, of the rank Lt Commander.

On a side note, would DA really be allowed to have a baragwin? The imperials are good, but they do get stingy...
I guess if we really want to be open, i could let go of the psyche officer. Although I'd probably be reluctant to let that one slip by me. Doctor, counsellor, etc.

If she could afford it herself I don't think anyone would complain aslong as her superiors on-ship approved though.

The key is affording it though.
As for the commander part, it's not that big of an issue considering everyone's actually head of something.

Rodyn Mind if I make a few edits to my character? I'm suddenly interested in Gunnery Officer. Would this be a Battery Commander or the Ship's Gunnery officer? I'm really nervous handing weapons command for my ship over to someone besides an NPC I control. Plus weapons command for the ship is little more than a relay for the Captain's orders. Battery Commander however directs the guns to shoot at the targets. You'd have around 6-12 Turbolasers under your command. Maybe simply being a gunner would be better, you could paint kill rings for nailing starfighters.
