With one eye slowly opening, Nia looked around. Did she really fall alseep at the desk? She slowly lifted her head, cracking her neck. She leaned back in the chair, yawning and rubbing her eyes. She looked around as the surrounding area came into focus. She looked down to see Silky still in the jar. She sighed softly with relief. She was afraid maybe she knocked it over or something. The plate rested on the other side of her; cold and mucky looking.
"Crap.." she rubbed at her neck, not wanting to pick the plate up. ----------------------------------------

Ianto had returned into sick bay to see that Nia had fallen asleep on her desk. 'What doesn't match....' mentally he was playing what is wrong with this picture and that the plate was out and empty. This then setting in his slight OCD in to gear.
"Afternoon Nia. Want me take the plate?" He chuckled as he walked to Nia's desk.

Nia looked up to see the sergon. Her famous grin appeared on her face. "Oh, no. I got it. Thank you though." her red locks framing her pale features. She stood up and streached, before picking up the plate. The one thing she hated most.. she hated to be waited on. Even if it was out of kindness and respect, she would rather help out then just lie around. ----------------------------------------

Ianto tried not to pout. He had never broken his urges to do all the little admin work but then mentally kicked himself, the Enterprise was nothing like his old ship. Jack had though it was better for them to split up on the hunt for Gwen...no it was Gwyneth. But as soon as he though thinking about his old ship he got a little teary eyed and tensed up.
"I'll go with you to the cafeteria to drop of the dishes. I left mine out and I believe I saw Bones still had his coffee mug out."

Nia gave a nod. Sure, it would be nice to actually take a break, but at the same time, she really wanted to find out what that blue spot ment. She held on the plate a bit longer before she headed off towards the cafeteria.
"So.. I haven't seen you around before." she decided to start small talk. ----------------------------------------

"One could say the same for you know. But I haven't been here that long, I transferred here. Not exactly at my request." Ianto replied simply as he walked down the long white halls. 'God I'd hate to be the person who cleans this place.' he though.

"You transfered from where?" she asked, while deciding to balance the plate on her head. It took her no constration at all. She slightly tilted her head upward, making sure the plate didn't fall. "Well, I hope your stay here is enjoyable." ----------------------------------------

Ianto had a light chuckle at the sight of Nia with plate on her head. A feet he was no where near able to complete.
"U.S.S. Torchwood. The two ships are pretty similar thinking of everyone on the crews personality. I was the chief of medical over there but after my relationship with the captain was found out and another issue that I've been working on. We both thought it was best to separate for a while you know, not show favoritism." He felt sad at the thought but then looked up at Nia and smiled,"You guys are the strangest lot of people I've met probably only second to my old crew. But it makes the settling in process go a lot better."

Nia pondered on what Ianto had said. A relationship? She believes there is one growing between Janice and Jim. But, she would save that story, until she knew it was true. She slightly nodded, the plate still glued to those pretty red locks. "Huh.. well, I'm glad that you both figured it out." as the two reached the cafeteria. She walked in, flipping the plate inbetween her fingers and putting it down with the rest of the dirty dishes.
"I'm glad that your transistion here was a smooth one. Mine on the other hand.." she coughed. "Wasn't so much." ----------------------------------------

Ianto's eye brow rose slowly as he decided to pry a little,"I work well in chaos. But if you don't mind me prying a little, how did you find your way on the ship?"

Nia chuckled, placing the mug she had down as well. "..Let's just say that I was alone for a couple of months." itching at her earlobe. "It wasn't the chaos, it was the fact that I stayed walled off to everyone else." ----------------------------------------

In the transporter room, Kirk paced back and forth. He wanted to reach Vulcan now, and he didn’t give a damn that he was making the red shirts down here nervous. One almost dared to ask the Captain what was wrong, but held back when Jim shot him a gaze that read, ‘shut the hell up’.
When finally told that the Enterprise was in range for the landing party to beam down, Kirk wasted no time. He flipped open the communicator and hailed the bridge first, “Bridge, this is Kirk. I am requesting the landing party down in the transporter room. I want them promptly down here in less than five minutes…Kirk out.” He closed it, resetting the channel.
Jim was being impatient and anxious. Hell, he needed his Vulcan friend more than ever, and the chance to chat with the future Spock dwelled in the back of his mind. Using the communicator once more, he got Bones on, informing the doctor it was time. Kirk snorted at Bones’s grumbling about work that needed his attention but agreed to meet there shortly.

After hearing Kirks orders Janice remembered she was part of the landing party. After tossing the book on her chair she broke out in a running dash towards the transporter room. She turned a sharp corner before slamming into the poor yeoman in training that was walking with a tray full of drinks "Sorry!" she yelled out continuing her dash.
After getting off the lift Janice adjusted herself and stepped into the transporter room. "Mr Scott?" she said holding onto her Earpiece. "Uh huh..Ok.. We're waiting" She hung up and stepped on one of the empty transporter spots. Keeping her gaze on the ceiling she glanced at kirk a couple of times..
