"Well hello there, Nathan," Teagan said while shaking his hand with a rather spirited strength. If she didn't have any chances with Richard, another available young man would simply have to do. "Guess you'll have to eat all this with Richard. Lorey works at a flower shop, right?"

Already knowing the answer was yes as they'd talked about it several times during their last stay, Teagan came in and set her basket down upon the table. She saw the empty basket from last time sitting on an empty chair and smiled.
"Looks like you two adored that stuff. I'll be sure to tell everyone. But hey, is there anything you two need while you're patching this place up? I have tools and a few supplies I'll never use back at my house."

Richard raised his eyebrows and nodded. "That would be great! Thanks though...I dont know when I'd have a chance to run over there, I've got a-"
"I'll go grab them for you..." Nat shrugged with his offer. "I dont see much at the moment I can do for you anyhow so...this'll be the start of my duties hm?" He smiled looking to Teagan. "If Miss Teagan is alright with that I mean..." He coughed a little, realizing he had just invited himself over to her home.

"Oh hey, no problem!" Teagan waved to Richard before walking back towards the front door. Inwardly, she was cheering her little heart out that this Nathan was about to come over to her house. A handsome young man on her property was something that hadn't happened in a few years, as she'd broken up from her last beaux since then. Adam, his name was, and seeing as the last time she saw him she had also been throwing a pot of begonias at his head, she didn't want him back.

"I've got a better pane of glass, too, so you just hang tight!" were her last cheery words as she went down the front steps, arms swinging back and forth and the song back in her throat once more. She did, though, turn around slightly to see if Nathan was coming or not.

"Ah- Right then..." Nat smiled nervously, tailing after her with a c**k of his head before glancing back to Richard with a look that just dripped: "I can't believe the luck I'm having just by staying with a stranger like you!". Which Richard seemed to get, laughing and shaking his head as he picked through the basket their neighbor had left for them this time.

"Ah- I should call Lorey... Let her know I'm here and ok..." He sighed with a smile, reaching for his communicator.

Teagan was back and rapping upon the door, though stopped once she realized she'd already been welcomed in once and that there was no need for that again. She held open the door for Nat who was carrying the window, and soon they were back inside without any problems at all.

"Back with the window and anything else you might need!" she said, hauling the toolbox up onto the counter with enough care not to scratch it.

Richard was jstu hanging up with Lorey as the two entered. He smiled with an appreciative nod.
Nat set the pane of glass gently down against the wall, stretched as he stood back up. "Richard, Teagan tells me you're from Veratia. I just left there the other morning." He smiled, sort of feeling good he could form some sort of bond with this man.

Richard smiled, cocking an eyebrow as he started looking through the tool. "Oh really? What brings you here then? On holiday?" He asked out of curiosity.
Nat furrowed his brow, leaning against the doorway. "Nah...I wish... Just...an old...friend... and bad memories." He sighed. "Lost the only woman who ever loved me and I her, to someone more attractive, and far richer than I...." He shrugged, though there was an obvious hurt in his eyes.

"Aw Nathan..." Teagan cooed. It was a tragic tale of love and loss right before her eyes. "Druis will be good for you then. Get some clean air in that hurting head and heart of yours."
It sounded corny, and yet coming from Teagan, it was genuine at the same time. She came over to him and pinched his side a bit in an inspecting fashion before anything more could be said. "And some meat on your bones. You pinch like a skinny stray."

Nat didn't smile, but merely shrugged. "Yeah..." Was all he said before cocking his head to get his neck to pop. "Hey...I hope you dont mind if I go and just...um change or something... Real quick..." He asked Richard who gave him a sympathetic nod.

As Nat disappeared Richard shook his head. "Poor guy... I know how he must feel...I almsot lost Lorey to a much more well off individual but... she chose me..." He smiled at the thought. Well, in all honesty, Damian had thrown her aside, but he had loved her. If Richard hadn't come along, he would have pursued Lorey for sure...

Teagan had no idea that they both were talking about the same man, Damian Centurion. Richard had almost lost Lorey to him, and Nat had definitely lost Raquel to him. Even worlds away, he was causing trouble.

"I know how it is to lose someone like that, too. Last boy I dated? He had been cheating on me for three months and no one told me a thing. I think they're getting married now in another world, though I'm not too sure about that."
Teagan dug out a caulk and handed it to Richard for sealing the window once he was done.
"So... Richard, how did you know that Lorey was someone you wanted to spend your forever with? All this talk of love, and I'm sitting here wondering what it's all about."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 20, 2009 7:49 pm

Richard smiled distantly, leaning agaisnt the table. "Lorey... Is just... So different from anyone I've ever met. I honestly think... Love is like finding someone... who's you're missing puzzle piece. A piece you didn't know was missing till you met them...they fit you so perfectly... and you know that if they'd leave... you couldn't live without them..." His eyes were so soft as he looked down a moment, Lorey image clouding his mind and making him blush unconsciously.

"Well... I'll be sure to hold all the boys up to your criteria when I'm looking for someone to attach myself to." Teagan couldn't help but look at Richard like Nat looked at the trees and world around him. The way his eyes softened, the way his cheeks pinked. Her boyfriends had been that way for a little while. All of it ended, though. Everything always had to end.

"Lorey's real lucky, though. Told Nat that earlier. And by the conversations we had, you're real lucky to have her. Sweetest thing for all she's been through."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 20, 2009 8:12 pm

Richard nodded slowly, looking up to her. "I am very lucky... You know... I thought I'd never fall in love again after my first wife died tragically... But Lorey... She didn't replace my wife... She just gave me something new... something different to Love.... and I wouldn't trade it for anything..." He smiled.

It was about then, Nat rejoined them. He had changed shirts but seemed a bit off. He said nothing however, merely sighing slightly. "So what can I do to help?" He asked clasping his hands together. Richard seemed to think a moment.
"Well...I do have some work to do on the roof still...but that can wait till morning. Right now, maybe you can help with the window." HE nodded to the c**k Teagan had.

Teagan could pick up on the distress coming from Nat. It was all in his eyes: a strange mix of sorrow and confusion on what to do next.

"Hm... you know, I'll be the little woman around here for now and get you two something to eat while you work on that window. Everything's in that basket, so hang tight."
Teagan inched past Nat, but stopped once to turn around and face him.
"The slightly rugged country look does you good, Nat."

Nat's eyes seemed hazed over and slightly glassy as he avoided her own very lovely eyes. He merely smiled lightly, pushing his hands through his hair. "Thanks..." He mumbled softly, as Richard cocked an eyebrow. Maybe he could play matchmaker while they were here.

"Thank you Teagan. I Think we just might starve without a little help. Unless Nat's some sort of cook, We're screwed. I must admit I'm spoiled to instant meals and smart kitchens..." He admitted with an embarrassed chuckle as he walked over to see if there was a way o safely pop out the glass pane that needed repair.

"Smart kitchens?" Teagan asked with shrill curiosity. "You must stay in a house worth more than this neighborhood. I have some fancy things going on in the drawing room, where I have my floral things set up, but not a kitchen that'll make my food for me."

Teagan reached past Nat to tug the basket from its place on the bench. Inside there was pumpernickel bread and lunch meats made by a farm nearby. Teagan, though, was proud to say she baked everything else herself.
"Hope you boys like sandwiches. There's enough in here for you to live on for a few days until I can make more."
