Saiya shrugged and continued to follow him. "So what other super natural's live in the forest?" She asked him curiously as she closed her sketchbook. "Besides Riu I mean."

Trying to contain his grin Kai looked sideways at Saiya. "Of course. There all around us." he stated, ducking under a low hanging branch. "Most of us still prefer to stay hidden from humans though. At least until they know if your good for them or not."

"Most of them think me some kind of deadly terrorist at the moment." Saiya reminded him with a frown, her eyes scanning the forest just past him. "Are we going that way?" She asked him in a slightly distracted voice.

"Yep." Kai replied. "Nut only for another couple of miles or so. After that we have to you at an angle, unless you're up for jumping off of a waterfall." he stated, smiling.

"Perhaps if Riu didn't seem to like me so much I would be tempted." Saiya returned, never one to turn down an adrenalin rush like base jumping. She grabbed his arm and pulled him back a couple steps. "Lets angle now, go around this area." Her eyes were on the trees and not him as she made her request.

"Not willing to meet more of my friends?" Kai asked before pausing, a rustle through the trees without wind stirred around him... Warning him. Not waiting for explainations, Kai scooped Saiya up and lept as a spinning zoomed inches below his feet where they had been seconds ago. Grabbing a branch he pulled them out of site before leaping to another tree top. Something that didn't belong was in his forest, he didn't have to wait for the unnatural growl of anger that ripped through the quiet forest air to know that.

Saiya yelped and hung onto him. "I told you!" She hissed in his ear. Her eyed widened as she looked over his shoulder. "Watch out!" Something incredibly big and hairy slammed into him from behind and wretched Saiya out of his arms. Teeth as big as her hand were inches from her face as it let out a horrifyingly loud roar that was answered by Saiya's terrified high pitch scream. It held her by one wrist, dangling in front of it like a child's doll. Her other hand was in her messenger bag and fumbling around. Kami she hoped fairy tales were true in regards to werewolves.

A cry of pain left Kai's lips as the things slammed into his back claws first, he'd only just managed to grasp a branch to keep from slamming into the ground. Pulling himself to stand on the branch, he unsheathed his twin blades before leaping at the Werewolf with a battle cry. Now I'm pissed. Swinging one blade down he took off the arm holding Saiya at its shoulder as he spun to slice across its chest to draw its attention from her. Turning his foot slightly he turned a landed a kick right onto the wound he'd just inflicted, earning a snarl from the beast. Now that's what I want! Come on! Sliding into a battle stance his blades flashed silver in the sunlight to reveal the engraved spells upon them. "Come one you flea bag. Let's see how you enjoy the taste of blessed silver."

Saiya gasped and flailed, only just catching a tree branch before she slammed into the ground. The things hand still had a vice grip on her wrist and she gagged as she pried it off, careful of the claws. Hearing another low growl she froze and turned wide teal eyes on a second one stalking her along the branch she was on. "Of course." She muttered as she carefully and slowly backed away. "Wolves are pack animals." Slipping her sliver hunting knife from her boot as she carefully moved in measured steps away from the beast until she hit the trunk. The thing seemed to laugh at her, until she used the trunk of the tree as a spring board and leapt up and over it, sliding her blade along it's shoulder as she did.
Landing a little shakily she didn't hesitate to make use of it's surprise as she ran along the branch and took what to a normal human would be a suicidal leap for another large branch across the way. Saiya had spent most of her time since the age of 13 learning how to be a Jumper in the city. Sure a forest wasn't the same, but the ideas were.

As the beast lept, Kai fell to one knee and jammed his blade through the brutes jaws. Letting the creature fall dead to the ground, he cursed himself as he heard the snarl of another werewolf. He'd let emotions cloud his sense! Running up the trunk of the tree the injured creature was howling, Kai sliced off its head before back flipping to land lightly on the ground. A flick of his wrist threw his cloak off as he closed his eyes and smelled the air, turning slowly. There! Side steeping Kai moved out of the way just as one leaped passed, slicing it as the creature passed. Five more of the cursed creature remained, circling him. And so began the deadly dance as Kai spun, blocking and attacking like lightning. It wasn't long before there were only two... Then one. Leaping at the lone creature, Kai landed a kick on its jaw as he spun his leg to take the beasts legs out from under him with his blade. A push of powerful arms landed him on the creatures chest as he lifted his blade for the death blow. "Be in peace brother." A cry ripped the sky and faded off as the creature ended. All around, the monsters now turned into the people they once were.

Saiya landed on the ground next to him, panting. "Told.....you......to....go...around." She took a few breaths as she bent double. She had been running and climbing and using every tool as a Jumper in her arsenal until the one that she had played cat and mouse with had lept down to try and get a piece of Kai and died on his blade. "Butthead." She muttered to him once she started to catch her breath.

Kai knelt down and closed the eyes of the one he'd just killed before pulling his blade out. His eyes blazed with fire that sent the leaves into a tornado swirl though there was no wind. "Werewolves aren't normal. There created, their souls ripped from them to be replaced by hunter demons" Kai explained quietly, his voice level and quiet despite his hate that blazed for the one who did this. "They were once living beings like you and me..."

Saiya held up her hands defensively. "I never said they weren't!" She protested. "I just said that we should go around!" Her mouth closed quickly. She needed to stop pointing stuff out. "Should we bury them? Or burn them?" Unsure just what the burial procedure was for a werewolf. Frowning she went over what he said. "Wait wait wait..you're saying these guys are basically hunting dogs, like the kind used to flush out pray. So.....where's the hunter that shoots the pray?" Her eyes scanned the forest as she asked the question, there were so many places to hide in the trees she almost wished for the city back.

"These weren't meant to flush out, they were meant as a message." Kai stated, sheathing his blades. "Looking at their chests. Recognize the symbol?" he asked. "You use to work for them."

Saiya looked down and her eyes widened as she looked at Kai who was covered in bits of their blood. "Oh Kami!" She ran over and started pulling his bags and cloak off. "Where is water? Are you injured? Did any of their blood get in your injuries?" She was pulling at his cloths and looking for open wounds almost like a crazed woman. "You have to wash the blood of, now!"
