Sokka chuckled a bit.
"Well what about you, Sokka?" Maira asked.
"Whats the thing I like least about myself?"
"No, about Honey Jade," she said, some of Sholazar's frustrations showing through in her.
"I would no sooner say what I like least about you, my lady," he told her.
"Why not?"
"It is rude to speak ill of a person for no particular reason in front of them, and ruder still to do so behind their back."
"Like Honey Jade did?" she asked.
"Honey Jade answered a question you asked, and she did her best to be kind and spare my feelings."
"Then, you think I'm rude for asking?!" she demanded, seeming hurt and angry.
"I never said any such thing!" Sokka cried, alarmed.
"You certainly implied it," she said. "What were you trying to say then?"
"Can we just forget it?" he asked desperately.
"No we cannot! You said you were going to help me, but you seen to care about that.. that.. that baby far more then you do about me! You don't care about me at all, do you! You wouldn't care if I was dead in a ditch somewhere!" she shrieked, tears pouring from her eyes. "so long as your precious Honey Jade is smiling I could be dead or dying and all is well!"
"I do care about you! I am going to help!" Sokka cried, distressed.
"Only because she wants you to! I don't matter at all, do I?" she asked before spinning on her heel and running away.
"Maira!" Sokka called. He wanted to chase after her... but he couldn't leave Honey Jade there alone. tears ran down his face as he stood there, torn.

She didn't bother slowing down for him, instead choosing to catch up with the other pony.

"YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE CHASING HER!" Sholazar screamed, making Maira faster and putting things in Honey Jade's path. hoping to make her trip.

She did stumble and fall, but she called out to Sokka, "She's fast! Your legs are longer! Catch her!"

Once he had her secure he got up. "Hold on tight!" he ordered before running off after Maira.

She clings to him, unable to keep in a delighted, "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

"WHEEE?!" Sholazar growled. "This is not supposed to be fun!" He shook his head. "Forget it, this story is too far gone," he growled.
Sokka skidded to a stop as Maira was finally in front of him, and suddenly so. "Maira!"
"Maira," she mimicked, disgusted.
"Maira, what's wrong?" he asked, worried.
"Are you really that stupid? You pair of idiots share a quarter of a brain between you?"
"Ma...maybe she's having another episode?" Sokka asked, worriedly. "Be careful, Honey Jade."
"I AM NOT HAVING AN EPISODE YOU TWIT" she screamed. "Don't you get it yet? There were no episodes! No magician, no curse."
"Wh...What?" Sokka asked.
"Oh for the love of the night, you idiot, I'm a vampire! I lied to you, tricked you. I needed you to abandon the baby so I could slip off and kill her, to have you for myself. And YOU!" she yelled at Honey Jade. "It's a dark scary forest. STOP ACTING LIKE IT'S A PLAYGROUND!"
"You... lied to us...?" Sokka asked, devastated.
"Yes you twit, since the beginning!"
Sokka stumbled back, hurt and confused.
"And now," she said, eyes changing as her fangs reappeared. "Now you die."
