A small, delicate flower, fluttering in the breeze...

... A petal, claimed by a gentle wind, floats away...

"I'm out here, you know, Castello!" Jyoti snapped bitterly. Teifi was hurt. Oh, joy! She couldn't care less, but still she began to make her way inside...

However, a person was dropped right in front of her. The valkyrie blinked a couple of times, startled and confused, before offering her hand to Evelyn. "Come on... I'll help you up, and then I'll find a heal staff and heal you, alright?" She gave her friend a soft smile, pulling her up to her feet. "Here, just lean on me..." Once satisfied, she carefully made her way inside the manor, making sure not to trip or stumble over anything in the process.

Hm, looks like Teifi got healed. Jyoti noted, seeing that the dancer was up and asking for another healing from an orange-haired man. She shook her head slowly, making her way over to where there was a good sized group of people. "Uhm... excuse me? Sir?" The valkyrie said clearly and softly to Rhys in order to get his attention. However, her voice was generally soft, so... "Can you point me in the direction of where you keep your staves? I can help out with any healing..." She asked a teeny bit louder with hopes that he'd definitely hear her, checking for a moment to make sure that Evelyn wasn't having difficulties with supporting herself or anything.

(Someone yell at me if I get healing a twisted ankle wrong. |D)

Rhys understood about the ankle, but usually he preferred avoiding staves to heal twisted ankles. Only the better staves soothed the muscles as well, and the better staves were expensive and hard to come by.

"Hang on a second," Rhys said, pulling over Castello's ottoman and propping up Teifi's bad ankle on it for elevation. In passing Jyoti, he said, "Healing? I have some staves up in my room. It's upstairs, third door on the right. It's unlocked. You can't miss it."

He came back a moment later with an ice pack, wrapped into a cold compress. Laying it gently yet firmly over the sore spot, he said, "This should help keep the swelling down. And it's no trouble, I assure you," he added with a small smile. "It's what I do."

Castello looked up at Evelyn and coughed, quickly turning his head away to scratch the back of his neck. Probably acted a tad hastily back there, huh?

"Uhm," he said, finally addressing Teifi's question, "We're in the mansion at the top of the hill. I'm glad you're okay. Hung onto Amelia for you, I knew you'd... worry if she wasn't here when you got back." Curiously, he leaned down to inspect her bruised, swelling ankle. "Mom," he murmured, "just what the hell did you do to yourself? Who was that other guy?"

Ungrateful mutt, why if it wasn’t for me he’d be out in the dog hou—scratch that, he doesn’t even deserve a dog house he can’t even fit into. Her mouth was twisted into a solid frown as she made an attempt to get to her feet. If it wasn’t for Triumph she’d not be in this mess to begin with! Shows how much respect that puppy has for her; its like her didn’t care at all that she was back. That wasn’t true of course, but Evelyn was no happy duckling and she would let her rage get the better of her for now.

Standing up proved to be more difficult than she had expected, mainly due to the gash on her knee that not only hindered her movement, but was bleeding quite profusely and starting to soak into the soil below. A growl escaped her lips as she glared at the Gwyllgi just before her trotted off to… flirt with the new Victory. My, what a loyal animal that b*****d was to Evelyn. Having no other choice, she accepted Jyoti’s help; she liked to be self reliant, but if she needed help she would choose Jyoti over any of the others.

Thanks to Jyoti, Evelyn managed to get into the house; a task she wouldn’t have been able to do on her own. But once inside, she was a bit bewildered to see some orange haired man she had never seen. In all honesty, Evelyn didn’t care one bit who this man was, but if he dared to try to heal her, well he had another thing coming. Evelyn might have been welcoming to Amelia earlier on, but that didn’t mean she was always welcoming to strangers.

Amelia was very, very tempted to demand that everyone stop and allow her to catch up to everything. Rhys was holding her close, just as she was, and explaining something, and then Castello appeared again with an injured Teifi after Isadora left the room to... get tea, right? And now Rhys was healing Teifi and Jyoti had appeared, and that Evelyn girl was back...

Goddess, I can't keep up, Amelia thought sourly. She sat down quietly on the couch and watched Rhys tend to Teifi's wounds. The woman hadn't exactly done anything to her to harbor ill will, but... she was with them, so why was she condoning what was going on? And what happened with those morphs leaving the house?

The General watched as Rhys cared for Teifi's injured ankle, elevating it properly and applying a cold pack. It looked like the right thing to do to her, at least. She turned her eyes to Castello when he spoke up again. Her eyebrows went up. "...She'd worry if I wasn't here?" Amelia questioned. She paused, realized Teifi was still in the room, and turned her gaze to the redhead in question.

Ignoring the stinging in her hand from the chef, aka Warrior, Isadora replied with a hint of annoyance in her tone. "I'll remember that, sir."

How hard did he swung that spoon? The sting still throbbed on her hand. Surely, he didn't swing it with full force or else her hand would have be broken for good. It was a good thing that it was a wooden spoon. Who knew what would happen if he used other kitchen utensils such as the knife or fork.

When hearing about asking her name, Isadora answered. "My name is Isadora. Crewmember of the guild called Fire Emblem Forever and the Dame Knight of Pharae."

She thought back to Ganon's tale of the Heroes, trying to remember who this Warrior was. Surely he wasn't Castello since she ran into him. He was surely don't look like a magic user, so Domanova was out. And based by his swing on the spoon, she confirmed that it was Kyros the Dread Reaver. There was no way a lance user who swung like his.

"Judging by your swing," Isadora spoke as she felt the throbbing sting fading. "I'm guessing that you're Kyros, one of the Heroes."

She didn't get the chance to hear his reply when he told her that dinner was about to be ready and asked her to tell the others. As much as she wanted to gave an annoying look, she decided to keep her tongue and do what he told her. After all, she didn't want to receive another smack of the wooden spoon.

Walking out of the kitchen and into the hallway, she heard a commotion in the room where Rhys and Amelia were. Wondering what was going on, she entered. There before were the other Heroes and they seemed to be crowded around the woman in the love seat. And on the other side of the room was a strange looking fellow who looked like...... Soren? Stroking on the doll's cheek? What in St. Elimine's name had happened when she was away?

Confused of the commotion going around, Isadora gave a tapping on the door frame and said awkwardly. "Um........ Dinner will be ready shortly?"

Though she flinched when the ice pack was wrapped around her ankle, Teifi nevertheless struggled to keep her reflexes under control- under normal circumstances, she would have kicked someone who touched her legs. It was part of the dancer's life- wound one's legs, and their career was dead until they could get back onto their feet and into prime condition again. Now the lame one, she moved her leg down after Rhys was done with it and bowed lightly towards him.

"It's been a long time since I've seen a man of the cloth as young as yourself- meaning no offense, of course. What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?" Not realizing yet that he was indeed a prisoner, she instead had no problem in treating Rhys as an equal- yet another branch in the family tree to be grafted on, as far as she was concerned. If he was in the house, clearly he was going to stick around, right? One more family member wouldn't hurt. After all, he could heal wounds!

And certainly did seem like such a nice young gentleman, after all.

"...The mansion? Goodness, we've come a ways." Looking to her 'son' with a surprised look, she nevertheless humored him with a silly grin for the first time in centuries.

"I had a little... scuffle. A bard- quite the skillful one, at that. Used the same... ah... techniques that I did." Looking down at her shredded clothes, she couldn't help but give a little shrug. "I think we went a little bit overboard, but it certainly was interesting."

A flash of blonde and the sound of the young girl's voice immediately had Teifi turning her head towards the girl, a broad but soft smile breaking out over her features. Though her eyebrows were raised and those emerald eyes glittering with confusion, Teifi kept up that happy smile and hoped that she could assuage the girl's apparent distrust towards Castello, if that's what it was. She couldn't place the look, nor identify why it was given, but she would work with the hand she was dealt.

"Amelia! Apologies for leaving so soon. Are you faring well, dear?"

Isadora's voice brought her eyes whipping around again towards the blue-haired paladin who stood in the doorway- not anyone she recognized, but someone she had heard earlier nonetheless.

"Ah, thank you. I trust Kyros is cooking?"

"Upstairs, third door to the right... got it." Jyoti nodded a "thanks" to Rhys and then made her way up the stairs, carefully dragging Evelyn behind her. "One... two... three." With one hand she turned the door-handle, smiling with satisfaction as the door opened with no difficulty.

So, he didn't lie. She carefully made her way into the room, spotting the staves also immediately. A few Heals, a Mend or two, a Restore, a Physic... She decided to grab a simple Heal staff for now, though keeping in mind what else there was available if she so needed it. She then guided Evelyn to a conveniently-placed chair, deciding that it would much easier and better to just heal her now. The valkyrie smiled softly, staff in her grip.

"Just stay still..." Jyoti murmured, focusing her magic on the staff, which was focused on the gash on Evelyn's knee. The wound began to seal before it completely closed, with the surrounding blood being the only reminder that a wound there even existed. "There we go!" She grinned at the beastmistress. The aroma and the call for dinner could vaguely be sensed by the valkyrie, so she decided that she would head down after checking to make sure that her friend was completely alright. "Anything else you need healed, Evelyn? Do you think you can get down the stairs on your own, or do you want my support?"

Neros trudged back to the attic, leaving the morph of Madriana alone. It appeared that she failed to function by the time he had arrived, so when those golden non-Madriana eyes stared at him there was no flicker of false emotion or recognition. He had left to morph to its sheet on the floor, black mudlike tears streaking his cheeks. Some of those black tears had fallen upon the morph's face and sheets.

With an almost angry thrust of his wings, he was back in the attic, kicking the hatch shut. He faded into the blackness, concealing himself, making himself no more.

Almost as though he was...gone.

Amelia looked from Rhys, then back to Teifi. Since he had finished healing Teifi's wound, Amelia found herself winding her arm quietly through his, holding him close to her again. After what had happened, straying far from him didn't seem like a fun idea. They were nice, but that didn't mean they were good.

"Amelia! Apologies for leaving so soon. Are you faring well, dear?"

Amelia blinked. Her expression relaxed a little, though the mildly shocked curiosity stayed in her eyes. "Ah... of... of course I am. I'm fine. I'm unhurt, though I... kind of am stuck in here... house arrest in my own home..." Amelia tucked a lock of blonde hair behind her ear, glancing to the armor of hers that she had piled on the floor earlier, then looked back to Teifi. She took the edge of her cloak in her hand and wrapped it partially around her, like it was a blanket. "Why are... you so concerned?"

The image of the wooden spoon came into her heard before she let out a soft, sour groan. Seeing that they were being captives, she might as well get used to the Warrior's cooking habits. She made a mental note to warn the members about Kyros' trigger hand when it came to his cooking...... Though the pain was gone was her hand, she could still feel the tingling in it. "Yes, he did."

Seeing Rhys carrying with his staff and not her shield, the paladin approached to the Bishop. She whispered in his ear. "Rhys, what happened to my shield?"

"Me? My name is Rhys," he said, wrapping his arm around Amelia's back once more. "Otherwise known as Amelia's fiancee."

"Hmm? Oh, I'm sorry," Rhys added to Isadora, "I left the shield at the top of the stairs. I wanted to have both arms free."

"Stuck? Whatever could you mean?" Furrowing her brow and looking straight at the girl, despite her self-conscious fiddling with her hair. What Amelia said didn't make sense- if Amelia lived her, than her own family must be guests in this mansion! Why on earth would she think that she was stuck in her own home? Regardless, she continued to push at the point a little bit further- or rather, intended to, had the girl's question not struck out from left field. Teifi had to admit she was rather stunned at the question, arching a brow but answering nonetheless.

"Why wouldn't I be concerned, dear? I've been gone for quite some time. It'd be horrible if you were hurt! I'm afraid I haven't been around for your journey here- things could go wrong in a hurry." In her eyes was not a willingness to hold her captive, nor the sadism one would expect in a captor to a captive- just a warmth of motherly concern. She wished Amelia would stop looking at her like she was someone that couldn't be trusted, or someone that would hurt her! Alas, nothing she could say would truly change her feelings.

Instead, she listened to Isadora's words, looking to the way she seemed to fidget when mentioning the chef- the way she held her hand was a dead giveaway of what must have happened.

"Tried to touch the food, I'm guessing?" Pointing to Isadora's hand, she let out a tiny shrug, not bothering to try to eavesdrop when she spoke to the priest. Why would she? Eavesdropping was rude. Instead, she listened to the orange-haired man's words and--

Paused.

She let her eyes narrow ever so slightly, something in her freezing up at his words. Shaking it off as quickly as she could, she answered- carefully, slowly, and deliberately.

"I... see. A pleasure to meet you, Rhys. How does a man of the cloth fare with a girl so young, I wonder? Are you not a celibate priest?"

Her disdain was evident, but extremely subtle- one who wasn't looking for it wouldn't hear it.

"Celibate?" Rhys frowned. It was fairly obvious he disliked that question, and was perhaps a bit offended. He didn't get angry at Teifi, but still... "That's a fairly common misconception. Back on my home continent of Tellius, several of the most powerful men in Begnion were allowed to marry. They were Saints... naturally, it was believed that if the most powerful member of the Church of Ashera could marry, then celibacy should not be a requirement.

It's true that men of the cloth were celibate at one time," Rhys finished, "But it was very long ago, well before my time."

"At the top of the stair? I see..." Isadora softly whispered. She would have to get her shield after dinner, hoping that it had not been picked up by the Heroes. It was bad enough that she had left her spear on her horse's side when she made Nino escaped and her sword taken by Castello. But having no shield made her feel less vulnerable and naked. She didn't feel like a knight with her shield and weapons gone.

She then heard the woman addressing to her. What was she talking about? Something about her hand? Looking down, she noticed that she was still touching her hand where the spoon smacked it. It seemed that the paladin was unconsciously touching the spot. A light blush came across her face.

"Not exactly...." Isadora corrected her. "I was trying to move the pot to boil the water. Apparently, he must have thought I was aiming for the food."
