Heh, don't take it the wrong way. - He said jokingly. As he head the thump in the wall and what Lili had to say, he thought that there should be more survivors. The way he saw it, not many were the ones who would die upon separation from the shadowlinge.
Let's keep an eye out. The survivors should the law here, not the exception. - He said, getting up and starting a walk around the field. - Hey, Raleigh, come on.

Kuro swung over to what seemed to be the entrance just as the people inside seemed to be leaving. He couldn't shake the feeling that he'd seen them before. He bowed and introduced himself nonetheless.
"Hello, lovely existances, I am Kuroshi of the elves. I was wondering if you could tell me how all those bodies got there?"
That memory in the back of his head twitched once again.

"Ask them. They have better recollection of it than I do," Kitrine said at seeing Kuroshi of the elves. An Elf, much like her. Elves, in her experience, were easily fooled. Lucky for her. All he saw was a pugnacious little teenage boy named Raleigh.

He heard the young elf, but something still told him he should know more of these people than he did. He focused his eyes, hoping for some endearing trait. It was a skill he had picked up in learning to heal; as one must be keen to detail if one hopes to find and heal injuries. He looked at the young elf first. Then he realised something about her.
"You're..." he started, but quickly realized that no one would try so hard to conceal such a thing unless they wanted it to be unknown. He looked onto the male dragon hybrid. That one was slightly more familiar. He was a rock hybrid. He couldn't quite put a name to the face. He wondered why.
He looked at the female dragon hybrid. And then it struck him.
"Chiku...!"

Lili bowed her head slightly.
"Kuro. I'm Lili now." Glancing aside at Rey, she spoke. "We should see if there's anyone else alive."

Lia had stayed in the shadows of a ruined house and watched the wakings of the elfling and female hybrid. She also heard the thud.
Clumsy thing...I suppose he will not be able to recall what he has done. No, what the shadowlinge made him do.
Lia slunk to Rey's side in her cat form, staying in his shadow.
"We need not worry now," she whispered so that only he could hear. "There are no traces left of it in his heart, but the ability to be manipulated still remains with him."
She now moved into the firelight. Bowing on her forepaws to the elfing and grown elf, she introduced herself.
"I am Aurelia the Golden, cat-hybrid, my mother, Eleania the Golden Huntress, and my hybrid father, Aurel the White. I prefer to be hailed as Lia. It is a pleasure to make both your aquaintances." She thought it better not to mention the prior meeting of the elf male.
"We may search for survivors," she nodded to Lili, "after we have all had something to eat. Please join us Kuroshi. You are welcome to my share, for I shall not be eating with you. My place will be better spent as lookout for tonight. I would like to talk with you all later," she glanced at Rey," but excuse me."
Aurelia nodded a farewell to the group, and trotted off into the woods. She would stand watch later, but for now, Duna's whereabouts were her main concern. He had been gone from them too long.

Rey had not said anything, ever since he saw who the newcomer was, he was holding back his desire to harm him. His face had not changed, but somehow Lia had seen what he felt. And she was right. He was holding his tongue, as well as his fist. He had heard what Lia said to him, and nodded to tell her he understood. He would wait and talk with her later. He wondered where the other cat had gone, but since he thought of Lia and him as close, he deduced she would look for him.

Lili noticed Rey's barely-held-in-check anger. She turned to Kuro and Raleigh and smiled.
"How about you two just make yourselves at home here. Me and Rey will go and see if there's any more survivors."

Rey was surprised at Lili's actions, and took the hint. He quickly got up, and without any words walked away in the direction of the past battle. He waited on Lili and looked at her. - Thanks. - He said, a bit of relief clearly visible in his demeanor.

"Don't worry about it." She smiled again. "You know, despite what he did, I don't think Kuro is a bad elf. Sadly, we can never know what exactly the shadowlinge can do."

I know that much, but I can't help myself. His face is the one I saw, his voice the one I heard. I try to talk myself out of it, but I can't seem to stop wanting to hurt him badly. - He said, looking down at the floor, a bit ashamed.

Lili put her hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, it's just our nature. We tend to react more strongly to what we see and hear than what we actually know. What can we really do?"

Rey looked on to the horizon, deep in thought. - What can we do? - He thought, repeating that question over and over in his mind. He thought of an answer. He would change that. He would try to control himself, to curb his emotions until he knew and did what was needed of him. He would try to be more reasonable.
And as he reached that conclusion, he saw something in the horizon. Smoke. A campsite? A burning village? He didn't know. He looked at Lili, who was trying to comfort him, and he pointed at what he saw. - Smoke. We should be careful, that's not far from here.

Kitrine relaxed, getting herself another cup of tea. She figured so long as she didn't have to do anything, she might as well relax. "So..." She said, trying a stab at conversation. This was awkward. Damn. Oh well.

"What do you think?" Lili asked.
"Should we check it out, or get some rest?"
