Nathan nodded and then held out his free hand for Mao to shake. "Thank...you..." he managed in a mumble, smiling weakly. "It does...feel better..."

Mao sighed ad shook his head. "You should go lay down for a while," he said, kneeling down beside Nathan. "Do you want me to carry you?"

Nathan shook his head as his eyes drooped shut. "N-no..." he mumbled, asleep in seconds with his head resting on his chest. The mug, remarkably, did not fall as his grip didn't slacken.

"That would be a yes then," Mao mumbled under his breath. He took the cup away and set it by the sink. He then carefully liften Nathan up, and carried him to the bedroom once again. Mao set him down on the bed and shook his head once more. "You're too much. You want to help everyone else but yourself."

Nathan curled up slowly, a slight shiver working its way down his body as he lay there. His eyes fluttered open for a moment, then he sighed softly and settled down again.
"Stupid..." he mumbled, going back to sleep.

Mao smiled as Nathan began to rest again. After waiting a while, Mao stood up and headed back into the kitchen. He called in sick once again for work and then sat down to eat.

A couple of hours later, Nathan sat bolt upright in bed, clutching the sheets and wildly turning his head. His first thought was Where am I?!, followed by the thought that he seriously needed the bathroom.
He wasn't truly awake at the moment, yet he easily knew where he was supposed to go to to get to the bathroom.

All the while, Mao sat in the livingroom watching TV. News of a " strange happenin" the night before was being broadcasted all over. Mao shook his head as he watched the images of the destruction his sister had caused. He then heard Nathan getting up and smiled to himself.

Once he was washing his hands, he blinked and realised where he was. A bright blush stole across his face as he wondered whether or not he ought to just slip out as fast as possible.
Afterall, he had spent the night here, and although nothing happened Mao now knew that Nathan liked him. He groaned, holding his head at his own stupidity.

"Don't you dare even think of leaving without eating anything first," Mao yelled from the other room. He stood up and made his way to the bathroom once more. "Feeling any better?" he asked.

Nathan jumped and stared at him when he entered. "You're a Demon, sure, but do you have to be telepathic too?!" He demanded softly, shaking his head.
"Or can you see through walls or something?" he asked, sounding more curious now as he rubbed his head.

Mao shook his head. "Not really. I just have really good hearing is all. Plus you're in my space, so I can senseevery living thing around me. Does that scare you?"

Nathan thought about it hard, then slowly shook his head. "Not really. I can fly and all, and heal people." Then he grinned softly without realising it as a thought occured to him.
"I don't think I'll ever truly be afraid of you, you know. You're too damn cuddleable! And you help people too..."
He nodded again, biting his lip as he finished in a mutter: "...the only damn one who might understand why I do it!"

Mao laughed. "You damn everything more than I do. I'm no teddy bear, but I have some form of a heart. You need something, just tell me. If you want to tell me something, then just do it. I promise I'll listen and do what I can for you. I don't naturally like helping anyone but myself unless they really need it. You're different though. You're the first person to show me any sort of compassion and so I guess I sort of feel like I have to do everything I can for you."

Nathan walked towards Mao. "You think you're not a teddy bear?" he asked softly, eyes twinkling as he gently hugged him close. "'Cause you sure smell like a really good one, and you're definitely cuddleable... I promise you!" He winked.
The Angel was obviously focusing on the 'teaddy bear' element of the conversation to avoid admitting just how much he liked Mao, yet he truly did enjoy teasing and hugging the Demon.
