Nastara felt more than saw Asher lean in. The butterflies seemed to be creating a whirlwind in her stomach, her heart seemed determined to bounce right out of her body. She exhaled softly as he came closer, her sweet cherry scented breath dancing across his muzzle. Her body tensed, waiting for the contact.
And it never came. Nastara froze, the butterflies freezing like a still frame picture, her heart stilled into silence for the briefest of moments. Nastara panicked just a bit. Her breath came in a starled gasp as she jerked her head back slightly so she could look at him, terrified of what she'd done wrong.
This would have worked, had they been on a stable surface. But her quick movement caused the swing to rock, just enough to bump Nastara forward towards Asher. She brought a paw up to his shoulder to try to catch herself, when suddenly their lips met. It was a soft bump at first, the impact cushioned by her paw on his shoulder. Again Nastara froze. He hadn't kissed her, and now she'd just kissed him, unintentionally, but kissed him none-the-less.

Asher blinked, confused when she pulled away... Forgetting his manners, he placed his own paw gently around her shoulder and pulled her in for a longer kiss, but not using too much pressure so she could pull away if she wanted to.

She was feeling terribly flustered when Asher's paw slid up to her shoulder and softly guided her in. At first all she could think of was confusion. He'd not kissed her, she fell and semi-kissed him, and now he was pulling her in for more?
Her scattered thoughts were interupted as their lips met again, this time his soft pressure on her shoulder kept the contact between them as he continued to kiss her. The gentle heat of being so near to him, the warmth of their lips touching- it melted everything in a flash. Her heart seemed to be racing with the butterfly's going for a world record, but it seemed distant and unimportant.
Asher was kissing her, and it was wonderful. She tilted her head slightly and hesitatingly returned his kiss.

Inside, Asher was ecstatic. He wanted to jump up and down, run in circles, leap into the pond and hug all the fish in there... so many things at once. He couldn't recall ever having felt like that before, and it was wonderful. After a few moments, he gently pulled away from Nastara, giddy and beaming, gazing into her beautiful eyes, wondering how he ever managed to capture her attention. He blushed, probably the deepest blush one could manage, afraid to speak. Still looking into her eyes, he started to blubber random things. "Uh, I should... shouldn't have... the, uh, my lemonade is run...running low, sh-should I... pour..." He couldn't stop looking at her, but he knew he needed to shut up.

All thoughts had completely slipped from her mind, Nastara felt made of warmth, light, and happiness. As he pulled back she opened her eyes and slowly blinked a few times, coming back to reality.
Her eyes widened as she noticed how strongly Asher was blushing and she couldn't help but grin. He was so adorable! When he started to stammer and babble she had to giggle softly. He made her feel so important. Still feeling heady from the kiss, and wanting to make him feel better she leaned in again and gave him a tender brief kiss whispering "Thank you" as she pulled away.

Asher, grinning stupidly like a young boy, took her paw in his and kissed it. "No, thank you, Nastara." He restrained from smacking himself in the face to get his normal smile back. "So, er, should I pour more lemonade now?" The kiss was still in his mind, lingering on his lips, her warmth making him dizzy. He decided she was a most marvelous creature, one he undoubtedly was not worthy to be around. He sighed contentedly, very glad to have met her.

Nastara blushed deeply at her boldness, being this forward was certainly not like her. She tried to look at Asher to distract herself from feeling akward, it didn't help. When she looked at him all she could remember was how lightheaded ans special she felt when they kissed. He was such a smooth gentleman, she must look like a bumpkin next to him. She fought to gain her composure back and stop grinning like a kit with her paw in the cookie jar. Turning her attention back to the koi pond she nodded. "Yes please, I'd enjoy more lemonade." Truthfully she didn't know if she could hold the glass without spilling it.

Asher steadied himself mentally, in order to be steady physically, before refilling the glasses with lemonade. He carefully handed Nastara her glass before scooting over closer to her and taking hold of his own glass. He leaned back to make the chair swing very lightly as it had been before. "It's very relaxing out here. If I were you, I doubt I'd ever want to go inside... then again, if I were you I'd never want to leave to go outside since the kitchen is inside and your baking is so wonderful..." He paused for a moment. "Being you would be confusing." Clearly, he was still stuck in a boy-ish daze, not fully thinking of his words or collecting his thoughts.

Her attention was elsewhere and she didn't notice at first that he was in a daze. With a small prayer that she wouldn't spill all over herself Nastara accepted the glass with a smile and took a sip. When he slid over to be nearer her blushes returned in full force, and only enough some of the butterfly's accompanied them. She was pulled away from thinking over this new development by Asher's rich voice. She giggled a small, girlish trill at how spacey he was, but knew exactly how he felt. "Thank you my dear, and being me has gotten alot more confusing since I met you. My thoughts don't seem to be my own, my mind constantly drifts to you, and I find myself being girlish as I haven't been in years. Its a nice change, its wonderful......" trailing off with a smile she turned slightly to relax into Asher, feeling as though she belonged there.

"So it's not bad confusing then, right?" he asked, somewhat worried. "I don't want to be trouble for you..." He paused as she leaned against him and kissed her head before he placed his on hers gently. "Girlish and what way? And I do hope that your thoughts are really your own if we kissed; I like you and your mind, or at least what I've gotten to know so far." He watched the small waves caused by the swimming fish ripple across the pond, wondering what her thoughts were as they sat there.

She couldn't help but sigh softly and snuggle closer to him as he kissed her head. " You aren't trouble at all-Its not bad confusing, I like thinking of you. And I'd certainly hope that after all we've shared you'd like me." She giggled a bit and playfully bumped him. " As for being girlish," She shrugged " I was raised to be a lady, and things like giggling and forgetting my work to think of a gorgeous guy aren't the most lady-like. As for my thoughts when we kissed, all I could think of was how amazing it felt....or still feels...."

He nuzzled her cheek. "I don't mind the idea of you thinking of me, and I find your giggling adorable, not unladylike. What work have you forgotten?" He sipped at his lemonade. "You definitely haven't forgotten how to prepare food or how to entertain guests or how to show someone you care..." he trailed off. "And it most definitely did feel amazing." He turned her face towards his so he could see her eyes. "Just as amazing as it feels now to have you beside me, although amazing in a slightly different way."

Nastara blushed sweetly and looked up at him through her lashes. From the look in her eyes it was plain to see that she felt the same way. She wanted to be able to voice exactly how she felt, but she couldn't think of the words when his gem like eyes were looking at her with so much tenderness. Nastara said the only think she could think of " Asher, my dear, YOU are amazing"

He smiled warmly at her. "If I am, then you must not forget that you, Nastara, are also a most amazingly wonderful lady," he said softly, his voice purring slightly, "and I'm glad to know that someone like you would find me even remotely amazing." Asher took her free paw in his and squeezed lightly, just as she had done to him the day before. The urge to kiss her again was growing, but he pushed it aside and did his best to ignore it; he didn't think he wanted their next kiss to come so soon after the last, not just yet, anyway.

Blushing even more Nastara thanked him in a soft voice as she marveled at the feel of his paw holding hers. She was struck by how large his paw seemed on top of hers, it completely engulfed her dainty one. For some reason this sight made her feel safe and protected. She liked being smaller than Asher, it made her feel more ladylike. As these thoughts ran through her head she took another drink of her sweet lemonade.
