Noel smiled to herself and watched the water melt and then froze it again. Maybe she could make it work after all? She smiled and then slid under the water to see Aysu collecting shell.
Noel poked her head up for breath and then decided to swim back to Aysu. She swam down to look at all the treasures the ocean could reveal. She would just have to love it as much as snow.
Woobie kept running until he got to the edge of the forest. He smiled and did a beautiful flip out of the tree, or he thought beautiful, he ending up falling on a female pae. "Oops!" He said as he jumped off her and reached out a hand to help her up.
"I didn't see you there." He looked at her and frowned. Could this be the child he knew once all grown up. "Do I know you?" He wasn't sure, but she sure looked like that sweet child.

Pastela let out a small cry as someone fell right on top of her. "Ack! The sky is falling!" She lay on the ground, a little dazed, then blinked, seeing that there was a hand being offered to help her up. Slowly she grabbed it and got up, blinking as she became dizzy from the sudden blood rush, then smiled. "Thanks for the hand...."
Upon the question being asked, she took one good look at Woobie and her eyes widened. "You're... the one who could talk to squirrels! I remember meeting you once when I was a child!" Her wings fluttered excitedly at the sudden reunion. "Do you remember me? I'm Pastela."

Aysu looked up from her shells to see that her Ice Queen had joined her again. The naiad smiled, glad to see that Noel seemed to be feeling a little better now. Then, she offered the shells she was going to give Noel earlier; a very interesting bunch of shells included a colorful shell from a hermit crab and even the smooth rock she had initially picked up.
"Aren't they pretty?" She paused, then remembering it was a bad idea for Noel to speak under the surface. Oh, right. Sometimes, she forgot that not everyone had the same water-breathing abilities she had. The naiad swam back up to the surface, waited for Noel, and then asked the same question again, with a grin from ear to ear. The naiad liked pretty things, and that included everything from these shells and rocks found under the water to Noel herself.

"Yu're welcome." Woobie said with a smile. Of course he wouldn't have to help her up if he didn't land on her to begin with. "I should look before I leap, eh?" Woobie wasn't known for that though.
"Yes, I do. You wore me out doing tricks for you." He stood back and looked her up and down. "My, you've grown into a beautiful pae, haven't you?" He sounded kind of old just then and chuckled, maybe he was.
Noel smiled and reached for the shells. She shook her head to Aysu talking, she couldn't understand her under water and saw that Aysu realized that. She then followed her up.
"These are really pretty and neat. We could make matching necklaces out of them." Noel smiled and kept kicking her feet to stay afloat.

"I suppose I have grown quite a few inches taller since you last saw me...." Pastela gave him a big grin, fluttering her wings behind her. "But you haven't changed a bit as far as I can see. So what exactly have you been up to? Certainly I wasn't the only lost child that you met and ended up doing tricks for!"
Hearing her stomach growl, her cheeks turned red. "Oops... still haven't eaten yet.... I'm starved so pardon the intrusive growling...."

"Well, you know...I've been doing my normal thing. Throwing berries and acorns at unsuspecting prey." He laughed as he oved tricking people and doing tricks. "Nope, you were the only lost child I found." He supossed that was a good thing.
"Oh, here." He pulled some ammo, berries and acorns, out of his pocket. "Have these. I didn't mean to interrupt your breakfast." He kept smiling, he hadn't actually seen another pae in a while and was very glad of the company, plus he did want to see her again one day.

Ooh, that actually sounded like a good idea. First, Aysu had given her that beautiful ring, and now she could give her a necklace. It sounded like a good idea; the naiad loved showering Noel with all sorts of gifts. "Yeah! Let's grab a few more!" With a grin, Aysu dipped back under the water and started grabbing more of the beautiful shells from hermit crabs and beautiful, smooth rocks before coming back to the surface again.
"Here's some... Maybe we should head back to the shore once we get enough." All these rocks could be a little tedious to swim with. It was hard to move her arms with all of these rocks and shells in her arms. All of them were beautiful, and she could make a great necklace for Noel with all of these pretty shells and rocks.

The light-colored Pae smiled and chuckled. "I could see you as the impish type, that's for certain." She then gave a wider grin. "Oh, I was the only one? I suppose that makes me a bit special!"
Her eyes widened when she saw the juicy berries getting held out to her. "Really? I can eat those? I hadn't exactly started looking for food quite yet.... Though, I think I may pass on the acorns. Unlike your squirrel friends, I don't have hard enough teeth to crack those shells."
She was quite excited to have been reacquainted with Woobie; she remembered him from when she was little and he was a good memory. Someone who had made and awful time not so bad, and she was grateful for him being the one who had found her. It did strike her as strange the there wasn't much movement going on in the island, but perhaps it was just her.

Noel nodded and ducked under to pick a few for Aysu's necklace. She wanted to make it extra beautiful for the naiad who had already given her a ring and she hadn't given her a gift back yet.
She popped up and followed Aysu to the shore. "I'm going to make you a beautiful necklace!" She giggled and then sat on the shore. "How should we string them?" Was her blade hard enough? She made a sharp, thin, blade and jabbed it into a shell to make a hole.
***
"Oh, yes you are very special." Woobie smiled. He had liked her the moment he met her. He had hoped she would have had the squirrels send a message to meet again, but maybe she never knew to do that.
"Yeah, you can. I can get more later." Or he could get the squirrels to gather them for him, they did what he said. Right now his two right hand squirrels were watching to see if he gave any orders. "I could get something else if you wish? Sarge and Lieutenant are always at the ready." He smiled at the girl.

Pastela chuckled a little. "Oh my... weren't they the ones who's tails I tried to pull off or something? My memory's a little foggy on it.... but I remember being fascinated with how soft and furry they were." Taking some of the acorns that she'd been offered, she looked around to the two squirrels to offer the nuts to them. "I've gotten better, I can promise you that. I don't go around pulling on unfortunate animal tails any more."
Rolling her shoulders a little, some popping could be heard and she winced. "I actually could go for a walk. I feel rather cramped up at the moment, as if I've been sleeping for awhile now. It probably has something to do with me sleeping in a funny position during the night though...."

Faroth frowned deeply, crossing his arms over his little chest. The brown guy sure didn't know how to play this game very well, did he? He was supposed to try and bribe Faroth to cooperate...not fuss at him. That wasn't going to get him very far.
Not that bribing would have either, but he could have at least pretended to cooperate.
In response, he simply rolled his eyes. "Course I was scared. Thought the crazy blue thing with claws and fangs was gonna' eat me. But he said he wasn't, so good enough for me." He shrugged in a very innocent, child-like way. "But what? Now you gonna' hurt me instead if I don't answer ya'?" He stared at Texas challengingly.
To be honest, he was scared. Not exactly of the weird Pae in front of him either. Maybe he could keep them distracted if he kept them irritated.
Kane stifled a short snicker at the exchange, though he glared at the kid for his description of himself. "Hey, I can always make an exception, kid, don't forget that."
Still, in a way, the kid reminded Kane of...himself. At least in the sarcastic smart-assed sort of way. He had to give it to him; kid had guts. Even if he was irritating as hell.

Takeko's eyes scanned over the crowd, looking for any familiar faces before she locked on Ivy and Alaera. She smiled and headed towards the duo, Melek close on her heels.
"Hello, all," she called out, nearing the two. "Good to see you again, Ivy. And you...Alaera, wasn't it? Kane's friend?" Granted, it had been a while since that night in the Healing House, but as far as she knew, her adopted feral son had so few friends that meeting just one was a rather memorable occasion.

The two squirrels looked from her to Woobie and then decicded to test her. "They've forgotten, I'm sure." He wasn't sure, but knew they would take the acorns anyway. THey ran up her leg and then down her arms to get the acorn and then the ran back to the trees. "See."
"Do you mind if I walk with you?" He asked, he had slept pretty oddly as well. He didn't normally sleep hanging upside down. "The squirrels says things on the Isle are odd and I was going to see what they meant."
((I will reply with Ivy and Aspen after Faye, ok?))

Serefina blinked oddly at the behavior of the purple and gray male. Wha...?
In no time, it seemed, he'd disappeared into the ravine. Half-shrugging, Serefina set off after him. She couldn't possibly be that scary, could she? He'd certainly reacted as such. She'd even paused to glance behind her to make sure that something more scary wasn't hovering just behind...nope.
Ouch. What a hit to the self-esteem. She had half a mind to turn around and leave, but her own curiosity about the ravine outweighed her offense at the action. She'd just be sure to give the male a piece of her mind about rudeness towards others as soon as she caught up with him.
Flicking her tail forcefully, she shot forward and into the ravine, hair streaming behind her as she followed the male into the unknown.

She giggled as the ran over her, twitching a little. "Oh that tickles! Eep!" She continued to laugh and giggle even after the squirrels had left into the trees. "Oh wow, certainly not something I'm used to."
She looked over to Woobie curiously, then nodded. "I see.... so the squirrels feel something's off too then? At least I don't feel as insane as I did a few moments ago...." She then smiled sweetly. "And the company would be much appreciated, it's been so long since I last saw you."

Woobie laughed with Pastela, "Yeah, they feel pretty fuzzy." He was used to them now. He didn't mind them at all and he was sure she would to when she got used to it.
"They say the forest and Isle are different. I was about to look around when I ran into you." He smiled at the 'ran into' part as that was what he exactly did. "I'm glad, it's been awhile since I had any company." After hi mate disappeared he kind of only hung out with the squirrels.
