I agree with Lyra on those choices. I would be happy to be the Gryffindor RA. If that's okay with Kitty and MLT. (I think Kitty's on the fense and I'm not sure about MLT either.)

Lyra Elizabeth I think that a graduate should each RA. -Juni said she would make the Hufflepuff RA (and also make the St. Mungo's thread, though she'd rather someone else run it). -I was thinking Alutian for Ravenclaw, since she's a mod and grad. -Avatar(Tina), Kitty, or MLT for Gryffindor. (I don't know whether Kitty will be graduating this term or not, and I'm not sure whether MLT is already a grad.) -And Rayne for Slytherin, as she's both a mod and a grad. I like those ideas too. Do you want to ask the first graduates of each house just in case? I don't want them to think we've forgotten them (Just a suggestion, I won't be offended if you guys say no)

I think it would be good to get the other Grads. (Not offended at all at the question Icee) What do you think Lyra?

Icee: Do you mean ask the first graduate of each house if they'd like to make their house's RA before we contact anyone else? Who ARE the first graduates of each house, anyway (that are still active)?

Yes, but technically none of them are still active in HPGoG. Grey Temerity (Slytherin) DevilsDarkAngel (Hufflepuff) Celestial Archer (Gryffindor) mystic emerald (Ravenclaw) Since none of them are still active in HPGoG, I just wanted to make the suggestion and not the rule.

Animekitty47 Wait, isn't Avatar34 a Gryffie graduate? Yes, I'm a Grad. But Celest was here before me, although I don't know if she Graduated, she may be an Honarary Grad(I'm not sure). She's still active in Gaia, (I talk to her once in a while) just not in HPGoG.

If the first graduates aren't active then I think we should stick to Lyra's idea.

Since, they're not active, I think we should go with what I said before. Who will it be for Gryffindor? Is Avatar their only active grad right now?

Although you're not quite a grad yet, I'd recommend you make the thread instead of Alutian...just because you've been really active in this entire discussion

I will gladly do so if that is recommended.
I will post something soon about the rules we have come up with for the grads subforum. Some of them I have had to change slightly because the first couple terms the first graduates will be settling in and activity may be low. For example, grads cannot start out as an employee in a shop if there are no shops yet. So the first few grads must be allowed to make shops right away and then later on we can change the rules to be that you have to work in someone else's shop for a term before owning one. (If we still want to change it, of course).

Ok, here we go. This is going to be sort of long, by the way. EDIT: Actually, it's very long. Don't say I didn't warn you. XD Things in square brackets are comments/questions. Now lets play "spot the errors" and discuss everything that you think is wrong with it!
EDITED: March 14, 12:19am (I am going by my local time). March 21, 12:00 noon
Threads to create: General Info and RP rules (Announcement – I think Adonis wanted to make a post of some sort too) Shops info (sticky?) Residential Areas (sticky) St Mungo’s Hospital (sticky?) Shops (normal threads)
General Info Thread:
Aging: > You are now a Hogwarts graduate. After one term, you will be 30 years old. You will then age one year per term.
> Children: At the start of each term (once you are 30), you may choose to have a child. After one term, this child will be 11. They will then age one year per term. Once your child is 11, they may start at Hogwarts as a first year. They will be in the same house that you were in. Once they graduate, you can no longer have any children (remember that this will be about 2 RL years after you first graduated). You can choose to RP with either your original character or the newer one (the child; they will age as a new graduate would).
Living + Residential Areas (RA): > When you first graduate, you do not have a house and so you must live in the inn for one term while you "find" or "build" one. (If you already have a family home up and running, i.e. if your current character is the "child" of your original graduate, then you may live in your parent's house.) > After one term, you may move to the correct Residential Area (abbreviation: RA). There are four residential areas, one for each Hogwarts house. These are sort of like common rooms, except theoretically each one contains a bunch of houses. How they are organized has been left up to each individual Hogwarts house [[should we put in some basic guidelines for this?]], so make sure you read the rules for your house’s residential area. > Gryffindor: Godric’s Hollow > Ravenclaw: Eagle's Glen/Eagle's Eyrie/?? > Hufflepuff: Brock’s/Broad Valley > Slytherin: ?
Shops: > Once you have graduated, you can own your own shop. It can either be a shop from the HP books or one of your own making. In the sub-forum, all shops will be located in Hogsmeade (you can still choose a shop originally in Diagon Alley in the books, you just have to move it). There can only be a maximum of 10 shops at any given time, on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a shop has less than 5 posts (not just by the owner) in a 3-week period, it will be considered inactive and locked or deleted. > Alternatively, you may ask to work in another person's shop if you wish. Just ask the owner if they will "hire" you and post here if they accept. Each shop may have one "employee", except the inn which may have two.
{{For when there are a few shops up and running: Once you have graduated, you may work in someone else’s shop. Simply ask the shop owner if they will “hire” you (if they agree to, post in the shops application thread). You must work in another shop for one term before you can apply to have your own shop. Each shop may have one owner and one “employee”. The one exception to this is the inn, which may have 2 employees. (Subject to change to two for all shops if there are many new graduates) Once you have completed the above requirement, you may create your own shop if there is a space available.}}
Shop Information + Application Thread: > [[From general info thread:]]Once you have graduated, you can own your own shop. It can either be a shop from the HP books or one of your own making. In the sub-forum, all shops will be located in Hogsmeade (you can still choose a shop originally in Diagon Alley in the books, you just have to move it). There can only be a maximum of 10 shops at any given time, on a first-come, first-serve basis (and no repeats). If a shop has less than 5 posts (not just by the owner) in a 3-week period, it will be considered inactive and locked or deleted. Check the list below to see if there are any open slots. > Alternatively, you may ask to work in another person's shop if you wish. Just ask the owner if they will "hire" you and post here if they accept. Each shop may have one "employee", except the inn which may have two.
Current shops + owners: 1. ___ 2. ___ 3. [open slot] etc
[[Possible idea: Make these two to begin with, though someone can still apply to own them? Inn/tavern (graduates only) Tavern (everyone)]]
Ideas for shops: (A good place to look is the HP Lexicon, under either Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. Please consider that only shops which are likely to get a reasonable number of posts (attract RP) will be accepted. We don’t want shops that will simply sit there empty because that will cause the forum to die.) Zonko’s Joke shop Sweet shop Magical items/instruments shop Potions shop/Apothecary (potions ingredients) Miscellaneous/School supplies (quills and parchment, cauldrons, scales) Animal shop/Vet (owls, cats, rats, toads, etc) Flourish & Blotts (bookstore: textbooks, interest books, novels) Clothing store (robes, school robes, quidditch robes, dress robes)
