"Strong enough." Kimi said smiling slightly and they started to go, but not before Kim spotted a shirtless Trace approach the stage. She stopped playing instantly and rushed over as he climbed up. She put an arm around him a slightly concerned look in her face. "What the hell?" She asked under her breath.

Gab didn't stop when Kimi did, he simply increased his volume. He didn't want to stop; he didn't want to stop anything for Trace. The man was an idiot, he didn't deserve anyone's attention. He didn't like that Kimi still cared about him. And he hated that nothing was going right since the man left. Gabs life had gone down hill since Trace abandoned him, and so Trace was now the symbol of bad luck to the boy.

I smiled in return, "Strong enough." As the instruments began to play, I counted the beats in my head until it was my time. "Welcome to the days of wariness. Where I'm feeling an echo inside my chest. I've a heart beating patiently along. Waiting for the other half of its song" I closed my eyes and let the song take away any other thought in my mind...

"It's nothing," keeping my voice low. "Go play, I'll join in a sec." I plugged in her guitar and tuned it immediately, without a sound check. Hopefully, it'd be right for the song.

Kimi nodded and returned to the stage. Her fingers never missed a beat, she was able to jump right tin a keep up. It was a gift really, in any sink or swim situation, she was always able to keep her head above water and pull though. When the time came for backup vocals, Kimi was already there, right beside Tess and she sung lowly into the microphone. Her smooth voice keeping up easily. This was one of their best songs, She had written it with Demmie's help a year ago.

It wasn't until the final line of our last song stopped echoing through the club that I felt dizzy. I tightly held onto the stool, having got off of it a few songs ago. Instantly, I felt Trace at my side, holding me around the waste. "You okay?" He spoke softly, always catching me before I broke. I nodded in response, but soon proved that was a lie; passing out not a moment later.

I lifted Tess into my arms to cradle her, and walked off the stage. If the audience wanted an encore, they'd have to wait another night. Once I got backstage and into a dressing room that didn't already have a couple going at it, I set Tess down on the couch and waited for her to come to.

Kimi watched as Tess was carried back into the green room by Trace, and then looked to Gab. "Gab. Could you carry out instruments out to the car, I have to take care of some stuff. The boy nodded and did as he was told, carrying the Bass and guitar at once so he wouldn’t have to make more than one trip.

Kimi made her way over to the club's owner and retrieved their pay, as well as a drink. It was a martini, with a cherry or something in it. She didn't know. Kimi didn't drink but she took the cup and walked back stage into the green room. "Trace. I got something for you." She handed the boy the drink she had gotten and sat down at Tess's feet.

"Thanks," I replied, setting the cup on a small side table for the moment. "Has she been like this a lot lately?" I placed the back of my hand on Tess' cheek to move some of her blonde hair from her face to behind her ear. I played with her hair a bit before looking back over at Kimi. I hated when I didn't know what to say at times like these, especially when it involved someone close. Ugh.

"...Yes. She's wasted, and exhausted. I thought she would pass out a half hour ago." Kimi shrugged and took out a cigarette. It was a new pack. Cherry Blast. Her new brand. It burned a sweeter smell that she liked more. "None of them took it well when you left. Demmy and I, We where fine. But Tess and Gab? You'd think that you had raped their mother and left her for dead." She smirked and shrugged. "It's never easy when a main component in a family leaves. And you know how it is for them." She shrugged leaning back,

I cheered at the end but proceded to leave before anyone else so I wouldn't have to deal with a crowd. I returned to my car but saw one of the band members carrying instruments out to their car. I looked back to my car as I entered it and started it up.

"She probably had to push herself pretty hard to keep going up there." I shrugged at Kimi's last comment, unsure of anyway to respond to it...

My eyes fluttered open to tattered ceiling tiles and the smell of freshly lit cigarettes. I coughed slightly as I pushed myself up into a sitting position, with Trace's help. "How long have I been out?" putting my hand on my throbbing forehead. I looked over to Kimi, expecting to see Gab at her side but was sadly mistaken.

[ Sorry for taking so long to post, I got WoW back the other day >> ]

((omg you play wow too!! ^^))

I pulled out and headed back to the dorms as the music still played in my head. I wanted to pay attention to it, but i had to focus on driving.

[I'm going to try to catch up and assuuuume that no one has come back to the hospital or anything...byyy the way I noticed you posted a link for strong enough by kina grannis which is SO funny because I was JUST listening to that song!!]

I drummed my fingers against the counter's surface, watching diligently as the nurse scrolled through Demetri's information to do one last check, making sure that it was safe to send him home. She snapped a piece of fruity-smelling gum around a set of glossy white teeth, looking up now and then at the clock glaring toward my back. "And you're his wife?" I smoothed out my facade and nodded abruptly, trying to look as self-confident as someone my imaginary age would be. She turned her attention back down to the glowing screen, tapped her finger on the left clicker, and sent the printer whirring lightly. I looked around the expressionless room as she pulled a thin pile of papers from the mouth of the machine and handed them to me. My eyebrows drew in at first glance of the document. "The bill," she explained. "Oh," I flashed a brief smile and returned to the waiting room where Demetri sat staring at the ceiling. "C'mon, let's get out of here," I shrugged, pushing a disheveled net of hair behind my ear.

We got into her car and I noticed for the first time that there was a parachute in the back seat. I considered asking, but figured I didn't want to know the answer. "Music?" I asked, reaching for the radio. She stopped my hand before I could touch the dial. "It's not working, have to get it fixed," she explained. I nodded and reached for the Ipod which stuck out of her bag. "May I?" I asked. She nodded and turned her attention back to the road. I turned it on and sifted through the Artists. "Push Play, Kina Grannis, Taylor Swift, David Archuleta?" I read aloud, chuckling a little. "Do you have any real music?" Her mouth gaped open defensively. "Excuse me?! I'll have you know those are some of the most talented artists of the generation!" I shrugged. "I don't even know who this Push Play is," I muttered. "Then listen," she struggled to direct her attention back on the parkway ahead. I pushed the first song listed and sat back. I kept my mouth shut for the duration of "Midnight Romeo" and yawned now and then, to make it seem like I wasn't enjoying it.

[Did ya catch the hint?? Download Midnight Romeo on Itunes today!! Thankss<3haha]

I pulled up to the dorm building and turned off the car. I stepped out and looked around. Dead silent with noone in sight. I sighed and proceeded into the building and to my room. I entered and closed the door behind me, taking off my shoes and slipping off my shirt before laying on the bed. I took a pillow out of the case beside my bed but left my blankets and sheets. I'll just unpack in the morning i thought to myself.

"Alright gimme my ipod," I reached over him to snatch it. Demetri tossed it into my hand, nearly missing. I held down the play button and shut it off. That's when I noticed what he was wearing. "Oh my god are you wearing a hospital gown?!" "I was just in the hospital..." he countered. I looked at the clock beneath the dashboard. "You have to be at that bar...or club or whatever at like..." I racked my brain to remember the time they were supposed to play. "Since when are you interested in our music?" he snickered. First of all,I thought, I have never even heard this band play. So why should I be interested? He might have a point, for all I know they might suck. "Since...not the point. You're playing, aren't you? So you have to be there, and there is no way you can perform in that," Though it's probably a step up from what you usually wear. I shook my head and de-tangled a couple thoughts. "I'll just have to tell them you can't do it," I slipped my phone from the dashboard. "Fancy mobile device for an orphan," he muttered. "Excuse..." I began, then shut my phone, "no answer." I looked away, trying to shake his accusation. "C'mon, you could have fit a house in all those bags. No parent sends their daughter away to boarding school with enough stuff to live out of a mini-van." Of course he was right. I was just upset that it was so obvious.

"About twenty or so minutes, not too long," Trace spoke softly, as he hovered over me. The gig itself was just a blur, I could barely make out what songs we played let alone who may or may not have played with me. I knew Trace and Kimi were there and I could vaguely remember Gab on the drums. Then there was someone else I think, but where was Demmy.
Pushing myself up into a sitting position I brushed the sleepies out of my eyes and scanned the room once more before asking, "Where's Demmy?" I didn't seem to remember seeing him when we got back to the dorm earlier either. The last time we spoke was on the phone before we got disconnected or something cause Kimi had whisked me off. Where could he be...
