Feeling about as useful as a one-legged man in an a**-kicking contest, Ariel trailed behind Lex and Annabel as they rushed Simon outside. Removed from the lovely aroma of fresh barf, her stomach finally ceased its own flip-flopping. "Well..." she began, "I don't think it'd hurt if we waited out here for them to assign us. I think it's safe to say none of us are hungry anymore." She certainly wasn't.

She'd finished her pancakes.
...
THEY WERE DELISH. Well, at least better than her Dad's cooking. Jennifer was the type who had a bottomless stomach...that could stomach anything. And yet, she never really gained a lot of weight. Musta come from her mom. And really, the stink of the puke didn't bother her. Considering she partied hardy, she was used to it.
Smirking at the comment about no one being hungry anymore she raised her paw high. "I'M STILL HUNGRY!!!" she yelled out cheerfully.

"Good thinking," Annabel honestly commented, using all of her effort to keep the no s**t, Sherlock out of her tone. With how much of a problem they'd just narrowly dodged, she really wasn't in the mood to make enemies- or be particularly nice, for that matter. But, at least the second one could be easily faked. Glancing around for a good place to sit- seeing as she was still holding onto Simon and all, she gestured for the others to follow her as she started walking.
"And hey. Puking's ******** nasty, man," she added quietly to Simon, giving him an understanding smile as she said so. "So, it's totally alright. I mean, you didn't... so that's a start, right? And hey. Nobody else tossed their pancakes! I'd call that... at least somewhat of a success."
As she walked, Annabel turned back to Ariel, cocking her head very slightly. "So then, who're you? Besides another unfortunate soul locked in here with the rest of us." Taking a grin to her features, she turned back and resumed heading toward the river.
"I'm Annabel Lee. Drop the Lee, though, I just go by Annabel."

Helena heard the chef yelling over the campers for an intern to clean up her mess. She looked behind her as other campers came outside for fresh air. That was her fault. She couldn't help but feel like she made the first day of camp worse than it should have been. She overheard them exchange names. Annabel Lee...just Annabel actually. Simon, Lex...she tucked the names in her head, just in case she ever had to speak to them. She looked around and wondered where Cotton had gone.

After observing the others throw up, Rosalina's nose wrinkled in distaste, pushing away her plate. Well, she wasn't that hungry after all. She decided, turning down the volume on her headphone so she could overhear conversations and names.
Well, all in all, at least she was still keeping up the appearance of the shy girl. She would see how things went, for now.

Rosa suddenly snickered aloud as something occurred to her. She commented to the general surrounding area, "Well, it's really a mess hall now, right?"

After several minutes of wiping the vomit from the wood floors, the intern took out the garbage and washed up in the lake before returning to the counter for his reward. He smiled expectantly up at the Chef, waiting.

Someone was still hungry?! Chef scanned the room and just... stared at the girl. He was very, very pleased with himself over the fact that he had made enough pancakes... but now, was it enough?
And then here was Sammichsmoothiesmackinsandersonsallysandy, waiting for the bribe. Chef stared. "You still want one after lookin' at that?" He shook his head, grabbed a plate, and flipped a cold pancake onto it and shoved it towards the intern. "You're nuts. Knock yo'self out."

"Ariel Broderick." Ears flicking back towards the yell, she winced. Some of the campers really did have cast-iron stomachs, it seemed. Well, it was better than everyone being allergic to everything, even if it wasn't appetizing. "It's nice to meet you, Annabel." She seemed a lot nicer than appearances dictated, but somehow Ariel wasn't about to chance shortening her new ally's name shorter than had already been permitted.
"I don't think anyone was expecting this." A safe enough statement, since it could be seen in a positive light. "It seems interesting."

It was true the sight and smell of the mess had spoiled the little intern's appetite, but that wouldn't stop him from saving it for later. "T-thank you sir!" Scott smiled. Picking up the cold pancake, he broke it in two and slid it into the slightly dirty pocket of his best shirt.

"Ariel? ..Christ, I need to stop meeting people who's names I can link to my childhood." She teased lightly, settling into a seated position on the ground. Well, it wasn't as if she'd be avoiding getting dirty, anyway- starting to understand the way this camp worked, she figured she was in for a lot of messes. Listening when Ariel continued talking, Annabel nodded slightly.
"I think... we're all in for a lot of unexpected s**t, to be perfectly honest." She said bluntly, raising a paw to look at her nails. They were still fairly well manicured, despite walking around in the dirt. It was a good thing she'd brought extra nail polish- that gut feeling was telling her she was definitely going to be needing it.
At the use of interesting, Annabel's ears flicked slightly. "Is that what they're calling it these days? Hnn." Frowning a bit, she shrugged lightly.
"Well, I guess whatever floats your boat. Somebody's gotta be optimistic about this whole mess, huh?

"Not the first time someone's said that," Ariel admitted. To be honest, it didn't bother her so much anymore. When it did, she just remembered that she could have been named Ursula. That would have been embarassing. Mean chubby octopus lady=Not Cool.
Ariel attempted a weak smile and gestured over towards the 'sharkbait' girl and the one that had upchucked all over the mess hall. "Well, at least we're not them."

"Hey. You haven't had bad till you've had guys quoting Poe at you," she laughed, remembering a very few special occasions. Shaking her head, she sighed lightly. "And you know what sucks about that? Poe's got talent, I'll give you that. He's just.. not my favorite poet, y'know? I've always been more of a Shakespeare kind of girl. THERE's a classy ******** if I ever read his poetry." And that was that, really.
Following Ariel's gesturing, Annabel's gaze trailed over to the two Audio, and she couldn't help but snort in laughter.
"That's a damn good point, not even going to lie."

Ariel tried not to stare. Really, she did.
But Shakespeare? She would never in a million years have pegged Annabelle as the Shakespeare sort. Just as surprising was the admission that she didn't care for Poe. With the black and red and dark nails and everything, she would have sworn that would have been right up Annabelle's alley.
"Any...any particular reason for that?"

Helena looked over at the other audio outside and overheard their words. They were making fun of her! In a huff, she pouted and her brow furrowed. She cantered past them, glaring at them on the way. Some part of her thought it wouldn't be very intimidating, given her dress code. She longed for a more punker appeal more than ever. She did notice Annabel's black nail polish and envied her a little. But she still walked past them and braved herself to return to the mess hall.
