As Cat retraced her steps down the hallway, she grinned and rolled her eyes. There it was. She was glad she'd gotten out of the room.

Rorschach looked a Spider-Man, a glare hidden by his face. "You. What happened in false New York?"
Danny wanted to stay with Spider-Man, but his priority was Black Cat. He said to him, "If you need me, call." Then he said to Rorschach, "Don't try anything stupid." After that, he went to where Black Cat had left the glass of tea, where they'd talked earlier about his abilities. He said to her, "Hey, you alright?"

Cat had just reached her mug; she picked it up, then turned and made a face at him. "Yes, Mom, I'm fine." She winked and started slowly back toward the others; taking her time was something that was sounding better every second. "The guy's a little off, but who isn't these days?"

Danny nodded in agreement. "There's definitely something wrong with him, that's for sure. Why don't we give them an extra moment or so, try to let him leave before we get back?".

"Because he doesn't like my clothes," Cat said smugly, "I can tell. I make him uncomfortable. If he's going to be interrogating people, I'd rather have him be off balance, wouldn't you?" Either people liked the clothes, or they hated the clothes, and either way, they were usually distracted. Which was the point.

Cat smirked and stepped a little closer, so that she was just inside what most people considered to be their personal bubble. "Hope is for chumps, Dannyboy," she said in a low purr, "If you want something to happen, make it happen." Before he could respond, she turned and continued back into the front room. "Found my tea," she announced, still smiling in a supremely self-satisfied sort of way.

Danny stood there for a moment, trying to clear her out of his mind, then walked out after her. Seeing that Rorschach was still there made him a little angry. Nonetheless, he stood next to Black Cat again, and said in a quiet tone, "I'll keep that in mind."
