Eulalia Danae ((>.> oops, never thought about that.)) Svarly's eyes blinked a few times before she focused on the man with lavender hair. "Where am I?" She asked, trying to pull herself up to a sitting position.
He stood up and tossed her a fluffy white robe. "What's the washing setup when you're at home? Shower, bath, sonic refresher, or oil-rub? We can't offer the last at the moment, but the other three are handy."

Svarly took the offered white-robe. "It varies, but a shower will work fine for now." She glanced around at the room, trying to get a feel for where she was. "Care to explain why you filched a Kore member in the first place?"

He grinned at her question. "I'm Dev, and the shower is this way," he said, heading out the door without answering. "What shall we call you? Your real name is inadvisable, but if you have a nickname or preferred alias..."

He led her down a short hallway and went through a door on the right. "And here's the shower, Lena. Your robe there is good to dry you, and you can put your clothes right in here--" he tugged open a large drawer in the wall that had a few buttons with instructions printed above it "--to wash them while you're in it. Should only take a few minutes, unless you have something made with animal hair." He wrinkled his nose at the idea.

"Sometimes you have to push for the things you want. Obviously the Kore has always been one for pushing." Svarly stepped into the bathroom, setting the robe to the side as she moved her hand to the buttons of her shirt. "No animal hair, just cheap man-made cloth."

He shut the door behind him. "As are humans," Svarly added as the door shut behind her. She turned on the shower, setting up some background noise as she began searching the room, looking for anything of use, and hoping to find some kind of vent or window. She wasn't particularly fond of being kept in a place without a proper reason, and even if they were intending to help her, she'd put a bet on surviving on her own before depending on a strangers who don't care to reveal their motives.

There were no vents or windows, though the walls were soft. Upon closer inspection, the walls would reveal themselves to be a fine mesh, "breathing" and circulating fresh air through the room. They were not, however, frail enough to be cut or torn.
Inside the shower were several sensors, placed mostly on the bottom in an arrangement that suggested they were to detect if someone fell down while in it.
Next the the washing drawer was a small, intra-house comm padd. The buttons were labeled things like "living room," "dinette," "kitchen," "guest room 1," "master bedroom," and so on. There were also 5 buttons at the bottom labeled "POLICE," "MEDIC," "FIRE," "ELECTRIC," and "PARA." There was no indicator for what that last button referred to.

((Stuebe wasn't posting so I pushed on ahead without him, but then he decided to post at four am and wind himself up with Syx heading to Jarred's apartment. I assumed Hattie would follow, but of the posts that you missed, there have actually been only three or four (counting mine, which should tell you something) I have a lot of things to say about that, but I'm going to bight my tongue and play nice as always. XD You've been posting more frequently while being in Florida than certain people. And I really appreciate that effort. As for the length of posts currently in this thread, those are from Svarlena and AC's lavender haired dude who swiped Svarly from the trouble with cops . I was just stoked to finally have someone who would actually RP with me, and got a bit carried away, I suppose. Sorry about that. If you'd like I can give you summary rundowns of everything that's happened when you get back, it'd be nice to actually have someone, besides AC, who will know what's going on in other threads as well. I mean really, I wondered at one point, before AC posted, why I even bothered. *sigh* Anyway, my frustrations showing and this has gotten too long, PM me if you have any questions.))

Although a shower sounded nice at the moment, Svarly put the thought to the side, and focused on the little comm pad. Police would be a bad idea, as would Medic and probably fire. She was curious what Electric was all about, and wondered briefly if Para referred to paramedics, but set that thought to the side. The mystery button was too tempting, if only because none of my characters would have really been able to resist it. She pushed the last button, and waited.

"Of course. I am General Lee of the United Empire Military. I'm one of the top generals overseeing the current war we're faced with, which is the same reason I'm making this request." He motioned for them to exit the elevator. "Mr. Shanra has apparently told his AI program to allow us access to Bowdn's R&D files, Mr. Shanra's personal cache, as well as things we didn't even know existed. Things, I might add, that could be crucial to this war and our victory in it." He glanced upwards as if at Jarred. "Some of my men, who work closely with Mr. Shanra believe he may only have given us this access because of his current state, the loss of Ms. Pendari. While tragic indeed, we believe he may reconsider his actions if he were to snap out of it, as you all seem so intent upon doing." He straightened his coat. "I know that it is underhanded. I know it is a slimy practice, but I must ask you to not contact Mr. Shanra. I'm not asking because of some personal gain, I'm not asking because we're greedy for any tech he has made, I ask for our people. Without this technology, many more of our men and women will die in the conflict ahead than would with it. Some of his stuff is groundbreaking, and may just turn the tide of the war, so I ask you with no agenda beyond the safety of our planet and people, to wait."

"General Lee....really?" Syx blinked a few times "Fine." She let out a frustrated breath and dropped the recording device on the ground, crushing it beneath the heel of her boot. "There, your people are safe and sound."
Syx turned around to head back to the elevator, taking out her com and giving Hattie a call. "Hey, kid, start warming up your ship. We'll be heading to Terra when I get myself over there."
