Kalia heard the thump and set her book down on the arm of her chair waiting for him to call that he was okay, or say something. When she didn't hear that she went up the stairs and poked her head into his room before immediately pulleing her head out and closing the door, "Sorry..." she said through the door, "Are you okay? I heard a thud." She looked at a picture hanging on the wall but her mind presented her with the much more appealing picture of Kia fresh from the shower with a towel tied around his waist. She stuffed that image into a small ignored corner of her brain, as she waited for his answer.

Kia was about to dismiss the thought, and was just going to tell her later, when she poked her head inside. He turned bright red, having just gotten out of the shower. Thankfully he had a towel around his waist... "I'm fine! Just slipped!" Kia shouted back, with a rather high nervous pitch to his voice. "I just had an idea. Give me a minute, I'll tell you when I get out!" Kia turned off the water, and grabbed his boxers. With his back to the door, just in case, he pulled on his boxers, and then his pants. He didn't have a shirt to put on, but that didn't bother him. He just threw the towel over his shoulder, to take care of it later. He also held a hand between two belt loops to keep his pants up. With his other hand, he opened the door, and then grabbed the rack with the blood bag on it. "I just realized that... well, I'll just ask." He looked at her now, even thought his face was still flush. "How old do you think I am?" Somehow, what she was about to say seemed important to Kia, even if it had no meaning at all.

Kalia kept her eyes on his face but nibbled slightly on her lip as she asnswered, "You look 19 or 20ish..." she said, "But appearanced tend to be deceiving..." she sighed, "I'm sorry you could be 20 or 2,000... I really wouldn't know..." she knew he probably cared, "I'm sorry I can't be more certain..."

Kia gave a sigh. He was right then. "When they found me four years ago, they presumed my age was 19, from several scientific factors. Keeping that in mind, treating the day I was found almost as a birthday, I should be 23. It just downed on me that I don't look a day older. I look exactly the same way I did on the day I awoke in the hospital, just healed and without any scares or bandages anymore." He was actually proud of himself for coming to this information all on his own, even if he should have noticed sooner. "I don't know what that all means... but I feel it might be important." He looked to the side of the wall. Now that he thought of it, it probably had no meaning at all, and was just another piece of a puzzle, but a useless one.

"People have been assuming I am 19 for a lot longer the 4 years if it makes you feel any better..." she offered.

"Well, it seemed important, at the time." He rubbed the back of his head, matting his wet hair. "So then, where is the blood stored? I think I need another bag here." Kia pointed to the bag, now empty, or all but. He didn't look at it though, as he hated the things.

Kalia smiled sadly, "I left them in your room... I'll go get a bag and put the rest back in the fridge..." she offered.

Kia shrugged. Apparently what he thought was something, ended up being nothing. But he did wonder how old he really was. Twenty? Thirty? A hundred? Who could tell. Without his memories, it was a mystery. Then again, maybe he wouldn't want his memories back, thinking about that were. "Well, I can change the bag on my own. Get kind of use to it all after four years." He just winked at her, and started to head towards her room that he was using. When he entered into the room, he saw the bags, and the cloths still left there. He remembered seeing a green one in the stack. Not his favorite color, but it was a shirt that would fit. Too bad the red one was ruined. He picked through and grabbed the green one, throwing it onto the mattress. Then he disconnected his bag and reached for another one. As he reached for the next one, he thought he saw something outside the window, for but a moment. It was from the corner of his eye, so he moved to look closer. There it was! What was that? A pair of eyes? As soon as he looked at it, it vanished. Might have been a bird, or maybe a raccoon. Nothing to worry about. Proceeding on, he placed the empty bag on the floor, seen as so much other trash was already there. He dropped it next to the discards of the other bag, the one he had drank from the night before, or was that morning? It was all a blur to him now. Setting the other bag up, he waited for the blood to start dripping, before sitting down on the bed. He noticed the old IV base, sitting near the pile of cloths. Must have fallen out and rolled onto the floor. Well, no need to worry. The place was a disaster anyway from all the commotion. He would have to clean it up for her later. Least he could do.

Kalia shrugged, "Alright..." she siad and returned to the library only to remember she still had to return the box to the kitchen. She set the journal back down and headed up to Kia's room knocking this time before entering, "I just needed to grab the box..." she said and noticed the laundry hamper was filling. She tossed the trash on the floor into the trashcan half hidden on the farside of the night stand and scooped up the box of blood piling the laundry hamper on top, "Get some rest..." she said and left.
She put the blood in the fridge before throwing the clothes in the washer with her special deturgeent made specifically for getting out bloodstains, a common hazard of the job. She set it and returned to the library and her reading.

Kia answered to her, "Come on in." And helped open the door for her. "Oh, I forgot about the box." He responded as he noticed her grabbing the box. If it sat out too long, it would become useless to them. Then when she started cleaning up, Kia offered a hand, "Let me help. I made the mess after all." He was going to help, but she was too fast. He was about to grab the laundry basket for her, as he saw her reaching for it, but ended up pulling at the end of his line. He forgot to move his stand closer, and now risked pulling it all out and making a mess. He had to take several steps back, as she left with everything in a stack. Kia really wished he could do something for her. She was doing so much for him, even if it was only her job. Keeping him alive at risk to herself was more than just her job. Her job was to protect him from rouge weres. Not keep him alive afterwards. She could have just let him... he gulped at the thought, starve to death. He then amended the thought, die from lack of blood. He wasn't about ready to admit that blood was part of his menu. He wouldn't if he could help it.

Kalia glaced over at the clock, I'll fix a late lunch-early dinner and work in some sword before bed... she mused setting down her journal she had just finished on the stak of those she had already read before heading to kitchen to make something for dinner.

Kia closed the curtains of the window, placing the room into shadows. He then sat on the edge of the bed. He had nothing else to do at the moment, but to think and watch the blood drip into him. He hated these times. Nothing to do. He laid down on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. It was just a simple white ceiling, not much unlike the one in the hospital. He hated those too, but they weren't as confining as the IV always seemed to be. If only he had something he could do. He was tired, after all that had happened. He just closed his eyes, for but only a moment...

Kalia made a huge pot of thick soup with diced vegitables, potatoes an chunks of meat, and she made at least half a dozen grilled cheese sanwitchs on the skillet, old fashioned, and oozing cheese. She piled a tray with a bowl large enough to feed several people and the sandwiches and tiptoed up the stairs. She eased the door open with her shoulder and noted he was asleep she hesitated not sure if he was hungry, boys his age should eat alot... right? she tried to remember. But the smell was filling the room as she debated to let him sleep or serve supper while it was still warm.

The sound of the door opening startled Kia from his sleep. He just turned his head, moving his arm off his eyes and saw Kalia standing there. He also smelled the food, and wondered how long it had been since he last ate. His bag was still relatively full, so it couldn't have been too long. Scooting up in his bed, Kia sat up, "Don't worry, I'm awake." He rubbed his eyes to wake up more. He didn't even realise he fell asleep, but it couldn't have been for more than a few moments.

Kalia unfoled the legs on the tray and set it over his lap the giant mass of food would have been daunting for a full grown man, "I thought you might be hungry... so I made some supper..." she brushed her hair out of her face and tucked it behind an ear, "I wanted to get in some sword training after supper so if you wanted some air you could come sit outside and I could keep an eye on you or you could relax where ever you want and call me if you need somthing..."
